We had delicious food and the most amazing service! The sandwiches on garlic toast are BOMB, I got rhe sliced pork and daughter got their version of the Cuban...both were Amazing but the Cuban definitely had allot more meat. The crinkle fries, Mac & Cheese and baked beans were all a hit as well. Granddaughter got kids dark meat chicken which was awesome as well.

Awesome place to eat. We took my son for his birthday 🥳🎉🎈 and the staff was very friendly. The steak burgers were great and my son loves his ribs. Thank you for a great day Sonney's BBQ.

I ordered catering for our daughters birthday party for 70 guests. When I arrived at the store I noticed that they were extremely busy and all the servers had a glazed look on their face. Naturally I thought to myself "Oh no, This is going to be a circus." Literally, moments after I walked in, a separate to-go order came in asking about their food and grabbed a to-go bag thinking it was hers. I didn't know it but at the moment, but it was a bag of condiments pre-staged for my order. So that impatient woman went home thinking she had dinner, but it was just a bunch of non perishable goods. Anyway, not long after, a server named Ashleigh assisted me and personally took charge of my order.. in spite of how busy they all were, and in spite of someone else coming in and messing up my order. Her initiative and professionalism was greatly appreciated. She went above and beyond and I strongly feel good people and good companies like Sonny's need to be recognized. Everyone wants to complain, but no one wants to be a part of the solution. Thank you Ashleigh.

Great food. Hot and tasty ALWAYS! Cobb salad with turkey is the best I’ve had. Don’t forget the corn nuggets!!😀 Jason is a great waiter. Professional, friendly and personable.

I've never gone somewhere and sat so long for an order. They literally took orders over the phone and had them done before my two Uber orders. Uber and door dash drivers don't make a dime when we're sitting here for 30+ minutes waiting on food that should've been done. Saturdays are busy and there's no telling what I've missed out on sitting here waiting. If we cancel the orders because the restaurant is taking to long our ratings go down and we don't get as many orders. You don't look at it from our end. You're still getting an hourly wage while I sit here and wait.

Stopped for lunch. We ordered our drinks and sat waiting while others who were say later hot theirs. Our waitress finally brings ours out and takes our order, then we watch as everyone who was sat after us, even those who got their drinks after us get their food. We couldn't figure it out because our table ordered 2 pork three ways and a burger cooked medium rare. We continued to watch as others finished their food and received their checks. Finally our waitress came and said that ours was almost up. The place didn't look to be overly busy, but we couldn't figure out what was taking so long. Our food was finally brought to us, and the burger was cooked well. Our ribs were warm, sliced pork was cold, and chopped pork was a mix of hot and cold that comes from microwaving food. We weren't about to send anything back, so we ate it what we could. We asked for a to go box because I didn't eat most of my meal, and the waitress picked up the plate with the burger. When she saw how overdone it was, she asked if that was the reason it wasn't completely eaten, or if the person was full. I answered both, and she took the bill, debit card, and plate away. When she came back, she explained that she took the price of the burger off. We won't be back again and the only reason for the 3 stars was the waitress. Kitchen staff couldn't cook a burger to order or heat bbq to temp.

When we arrived the greeter was putting forks and knives in the paper pouch and didn't even look at us. When she finally decided to help us she just turned around with an angry expression and only said "how many?". Then took us to the table, put the menus and silverware and left (no "your server will be with you" or anything). The server came, her name is Destiny, and she was very nice, that was a good thing after our first impression with the other one. She was extremely helpful with our undecided son and explained the changes in the menu since the last time we'd been at a Sonny's. The food arrived at room temperature but we didn't think it was our server, it appeared as if she was the only one working there, and the only nice one too.

I’m really disappointed in the order I got here tonight! I ordered a pound of ribs and two large lemonades. The ribs came through the window weighing barely over a quarter pound felt like so when I said something about it the employee said I could speak to a manager about it and I said yes, but instead of bringing a manager to the window he brought three additional ribs so I was like ok not trying to make a big mess seeing he’s trying to make things right I perceive. However, when I got home and opened the box the ribs were very old and the was literally as hard as the bone and I couldn’t even eat at least 4 of my ribs plus the lemonade isn’t sweet at all. I can’t believe they would sell someone old ribs that were just as hard as the bones themselves. From now on I will check every single item I receive from this place. All I’m asking for is what I paid for. But, maybe that’s too much for some people. Just make sure your items are edible before leaving because I don’t want what happened to me to happen to you

Isaac was an amazing server. The chef is excellent!! It is a REAL PIT BBQ has the smell of dinner BEFORE you get inside. Some ( have NO BBQ smell) means they are fake ..THIS ONE IS REAL!! GREAT JOB LOVED IT ALL.

Erica our waitress was outstanding! She was very informative with the menu and made my first lunch experience at Sonny's a success. I highly recommend the grilled cheese brisket sandwich, delicious! We even went on a busy Saturday food was delivered hot and in a timely matter. We will be back for sure!

Visiting from Chicago. Ordered for curbside pickup and they told me they were too busy to come out so I had to go in to get it. They forgot the banana pudding I ordered and I wasn't driving 20 minutes to go back and get it. The food was good but the pulled pork was so thick and tough, none of us couldn't eat it. Will not go back next time we are in town.

Great dine in restaurant. Destiny our server was great. Polite, courteous and professional. The food quality and choices were great. Prices reasonable and the cleanliness was nice.

Everything was delicious! From our Loaded Tots and Corn Nuggets to our fully loaded plates! Amber, our Server, was incredible, friendly and super helpful our whole visit! We met Miller, and relayed everything to him, and he was so Friendly and fun to talk to! Definitely go check them out!

Horrible experience! Order before 7 was told would be ready by 7:05 got there same time. Didn't get food until 7:45 and the food was cold! The bread was soggy. Very disgusted by this visit. Need to get a handle on your store! The drive thru had 6 cars get through before I received my food

I just had the most amazing chopped Beef Brisket sandwich I’ve ever had, super moist ,tender and tasty!! Outstanding job by the local pit master and team at the North Lakeland location!! Always great service in the drive through too! Sorry there’s no pics, I just couldn’t stop scarfing it down..

It took s very long time to get our food but our waitress was amazing!! I don't remember her name. She was maybe. In her 50's and she was slender. We'll she really made the whole experience worth the wait😇

I absolutely loved Sonny's BBQ, the service was awesome and so was the food. I was so happy that most of their menu was gluten friendly. We ordered the family feast for the 4 of us, which was more food than we could eat. Just an awesome dinner!!!

There is a big issue with hygiene and customer service skills. Seats and tables were sticky. The plates that were given out with my appetizer still had barbecue sauce on them and others were still wet. I had to ask for portions of my meal after the waitress forgot to bring them. This was a theme that repeated throughout the meal. Overall, the experience was poor at best.

Came in around lunchtime and the Sunday rush came in. Our server wasn't very attentive but the manager did such a great job. She ran the window and took care of all the guests. She definitely needs a promotion! She has red hair, wish I got her name.

Went there to get some takeout. It was my first time and the employees were patient and courteous. The prices were fine wand the waiting time was ok, considering the size of my order. The food quality was great. Will definitely visit to eat in next time.

What I really like the best is the okra I like their sandwiches too but it's the fried okra is the main reason I go there.

I love sonny's but sadly the one by our house closed down. So we were happy to find one on our travels. They were a little busy and appeared to be under staffed but we were seated and greeted pretty quickly. Amber was our server and she did great. Very friendly and attentive. Our food came out within 10 minutes and it was delicious. Loved every bit of it as always.

When we got there it was busy and there was a 20 minute wait. We went and sat at the bar and had a drink as we waited. The young lady working the bar was great, very friendly! We were called to be seated and were handed into the care of a very busy server. She was handling multiple large party tables but continually checking on us as well. We decided on a simple meal of chicken wings with a side of corn nuggets that we shared. Mine had the sweet sauce and he chose the dry rub. Those were some of the best wings I've had in Lakeland. They were big, tender and delicious!

Really good food. Ribs are the best, and the chicken is awesome. But CHECK YOUR ORDER. Taken out from here twice and first time they forgot garlic bread, this time they forgot my BRISKET. Called the manager tonight and he refunded the difference, but I was really looking forward trying that brisket. Maybe next time. Anyway, this is what kept this from being a 5 star rating. Their order-checking seems non-existent. So pick up inside and take each box out of the bag and make sure you get what you paid for.

My brother, sister and I visited here for a late lunch. My brother ordered a pound of sweet wings, (they aren't sold by 10, 20, ... anymore), baked potato and a side of 3 slices of garlic bread. My sister ordered a lunch special with a sliced pork sandwich, French fries and a drink. I ordered a beef brisket plate. It came with garlic bread and 2 sides. I ordered a baked potato and Cole slaw. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed every bite of their meal! Everything was cooked perfectly. My only complaint, in jest, was that I didn't get enough brisket. (I knew how much I would get before I ordered but this was just so good!) Our server, Amber, was exceptional in getting all of our orders correct even though she didn't write anything down AND she stopped by another table on her way to the kitchen to place the order. She regularly, without being a pest, checked back with us to see if we needed anything. I have to say of all the Sonny's that I have visited over the years, this location surpassed them all in quality of food, service, and cleanliness.

They were out of all you can eat ribs and out of pulled pork. Which we were told when we came in. They were out of silverware and we were issued plastic. I had a ceasar salad with brisket on it. They gave the chopped brisket which was supposed to be "marbled" but it had big pieces of fat in it which should have been trimmed off. It's a local flavor I guess. My wife had sliced brisket which was very good. We probably just hit them on a bad night and they were trying to cope with shortages and covid issues. The labels were worn off of the sauces. It is overdue to replace the containers. They should have a card at the table explaining the sauce flavors.

It was great. First time taking the girlfriend there and she loved it. Food was served hot and tasted fresh. Server was really nice. WAY better than other BBQ places around.

We have eaten at a lot of Sonny’s. This is by far the best ever. Food was hot, delicious and the portions were the biggest we have seen ever. You guys rock. Wish more were like you. We will stop in again on our way through.

Stop rushing out food that's not fully cooked! This is the second time I've been to this location, each time the wings and ribs were under cooked! They forgot my garlic bread which I ls the best they have to offer! I'll stick with the st.pete locations!
