This would be our second time trying this place, and we even liked it more than the first time. First of all, you should really try the plum wine! Never had that before, and I found it to be one of the best alcoholic beverages ever. The flavor complexity of that drink is sensational! Their service is friendly and efficient. The restaurant doesn't have a particular design but feels cozy and comfortable. Their prices are a bit on the upper side, but everything we tried was good. Green Curry was delicious and with the right level of heat for medium hot. Tuna was delicious too, and so was the ramen. Would we go back? Absolutely!

So I’m giving this place 1 star for customer service not food. I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over a year now- sometimes ordering 2 or more times in a week. Over the last several months service has gone down and quality a bit too. There have been increasingly longer wait times for to-go orders with many taking 40+ minutes even for cold items and non- sushi items. However, I have been operating with grace , patience and understanding because folks are having a hard time restaffing as everything has opened back up. I also think we are all struggling with the effects of COVID. But grace can’t be one way and customer service should still be important. I ordered online a Kasio salad (which I order every single time because it is one of my favorite items on the menu) along with the tuna tower and an eel roll. I waited 40 minutes for these three items since the sushi chef had a lot of tickets apparently. Not a problem, except I finally get home and open up my order to see the Kasio salad made incorrectly and the taste left much to be desired. It was missing cucumber and lemons, it had some type of noodle in it and I could tell there was a lot more seaweed as a filler rather than the portioned amounts of crabs and seaweed I normally get (and had gotten just yesterday when I ordered the same things!) So I called this restaurant to give them a chance to make it right. I was told in no uncertain terms that they wouldnt refund me unless I drove all the way back to the store. I said that didn’t make sense for me at this point but was happy to send them a picture of this item to show it was a hot mess and that I hadn’t eaten it. I would have been happy with a credit but was told I had to bring it all the way back because that was there policy and there was nothing else they could do for me. I am incredibly disappointed and don’t believe I will be returning there. You would think during these times that this restaurant would be trying to retain customers not lose them. A little bit of creative problem solving and customer service, especially when you are in the wrong, goes a long way.

I had been to Thai Oishi a few times before, and we always loved it. A few months ago, I had ordered takeout and went to pick it up at the quoted time. They were busy, and their pick up area was over flowing. The staff was running around like crazy, and I saw my bag in the pickup area with my name on it. A lady walked by and she said "Picking up?" And I said Yes and told her my name. She grabbed my bag and told me to have a great day. I drove the 30 minutes back home and began unpacking my food only to realize I was missing half my order-two sushi rolls to be exact. I called Thai Oishi and the woman that answered the phone was extremely rude. I explained what I was missing and she told me that my order was sitting there waiting for me. I explained my interaction with the server and told her I was under the impression I had all of my order. She asked if I checked the bag there, I told her no, because my order was handed to me and I assumed everything was there. She told me it was my fault and asked if I was coming back for the rest of the food. I explained it was a 30 minute drive and asked if the food would be made fresh, because it would have been sitting there for an hour at this point. She told me no, they already made it and would not waste more food. I asked for a refund and told her I would not feel comfortable eating food that has been sitting out for an hour, so I would not be driving back. She told me that was my choice and no refund would be offered, because they made the food. She hung up the phone, and I was obviously very upset. I disputed the charge with my bank because I did not receive the food I had paid for. I did not dine there for months because of this interaction, until yesterday when I decided to get some takeout. I placed my order online like usual, and as I was walked to pick it up I received a phone call from Thai Oishi. The woman on the phone told me that I was banned from ever ordering from Thai Oishi again because of the chargeback, and my order was refunded. I am honestly in shock. In my opinion, the restaurant didn't do the right thing with the original issue. I'm not paying for something I didn't receive but you refused to refund me. I did what was necessary to remedy the situation-an opportunity I gave to you initially. Now to be banned from ever ordering/dining again? I cannot, in good faith ever recommend this establishment to anyone, ever again. I hope no one else has to go through what I did, and I hope Thai Oishi takes some time to reflect on this and re-evaluate their reaction to the situation.

I went here for the first time as a vegan because a friend recommended it. The restaurant is small and cozy with around 10-12 tables. Right next to Max Jewelers and Game Stop. I got the Pad Thai without the eggs (that makes it vegan) and asked for the tofu extra crispy. I normally don't like tofu so this was a first. Definitely going back!

Thai Oishi is a great little restaurant in Lakeside Village in Lakeland. I had the honey flavored duck. Served very hot. It was delicious. The atmosphere was amazing at the counter in which they used different colors to reflect off the glasses. The service was excellent.

I have always loved Thai Oishi. I started eating there when they first opened. I have a lot of food allergies and they were always able to accommodate me. To be honest, the food has always been amazing, so when I started noticing changes in their service I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. The last 3 times I ate in person the waiters seemed more intent on talking to each other than coming to the tables. On one of these trips I did not receive a refill until I asked for a to go cup when I wanted to leave. All three of these visits were during lunch when they weren’t busy. Only 2 or 3 tables were in use. Recently I tried to place a to go order over the phone. I don’t like to order food online because I can’t make the exact modifications I need to meet my dietary requirements. I was told that they are no longer taking any phone orders at all and I can only order to go online. I wasn’t willing to risk getting sick from an online order that doesn’t 100% comply with my restrictions. I’m really disappointed with the turn the service has taken. I understand that a lot of places are short staffed and have even been willing to deal with the slow service that inevitably results in. However, I have a hard time accepting the poor customer service.

It's sad to say that I would not recommend this place nor am I coming back to this place because of a waitress who was so rude that we ended up walking out. We have been come here for years, the prior owners knew what we wanted to order before we even ordered, with this new staff they are rude they don't care, when I asked for the manager they said there was none, one lady just surged her shoulder. I would highly recommend Saigon where they are much friendlier, prompt, and better food.

Finally found a Thai place with amazing food. Went there quite a few times last month. Duck Penang curry was the best I had!! Basil fried rice as well as pineapple fried rice were delicious. Must give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. Friendly service and fresh food. Will go there again for sure. One of the best in Lakeland.

We drove further to get here based on their google reviews and we are so glad we did. We love Thai food. Exceptional in all categories. I had basil fried rice with beef and additional vegetables. Wow. Tasted fantastic. Rich in texture. The right temperature... Kept its heat. Right spicy level (hot) for me. Very content with the quantity of food. It was well worth the extra miles even though there was another Thai restaurant with slightly less of a rating much closer where we started. Plus this restaurant is in a good area with lots of shops and so we walked around to work off a few calories. Thank you to the team at this Thai Oishi! Of course, we will be back again.

Delicious food! Clean restaurant. Friendly and attentive staff. A little pricey but what isn’t these days. Everyone in the group felt portion sizes were the perfect amount.

We try to stop here each time we are in the area. Small restaurant with limited seating, providing the best Thai foods in the area. We had a small wait for a table but found it again, easily worth the wait. The service and meals are first class.

Been here a few times. I love the curries - super flavorful. This time I tried the chili jam sauce tofu dish and it was also delicious. The staff is also very friendly and helpful with explanations and suggestions. I did dock one star because they didn't mention the $6 up charge for fried rice - granted, it is a generous portion, but it would've been nice if it was mentioned. In the past, I've seen it as $2-3 to switch up the rice.

Have been here a few times already. Delicious food everytime. My go to is the drunken noodle and basil fried rice, but got the Panang curry recently. Excellent flavor, and the spice level was just right. Comes with the side of rice, but ended up getting a second to soak up the rest of the curry. Spring rolls are always a nice appetizer too, peanut sauce is great!

The food was good. I had the sweet and sour sauce with chicken. The mix was good, but the sauce was to sweet and it was a lot. Could have been better. Still, 4 stars is a fair review.

Had to wait about 25 minutes for a table on a Tuesday night. Ordered tuna appetizer it was ok. Pork Laab salad was fine not enough lettuce for amount of pork. Godzilla roll wasn't much too appreciate. Odd texture

Amazing Thai curry! Absolutely loved getting dinner here with my girlfriend. Our dishes were delicious, and their levels of spice for curry are: Mild, Medium, Hot, and Thai Hot. The Thai Hot is true to its name while still having great flavor.

Great food, amazing environment and staff. When they ask how hot, Pad Thai is 🔥 🥵! Highly recommended. Small spot, fill quickly so come early.

This was my first time here. As soon as I stepped in, the wonderful smell hit me. The decor is cute and went well together. I couldn't decide what I wanted but was impressed they had a section of their menu dedicated to duck so I tried their duck noodles. The broth reminded me of the richness is pho broth but had some distinct duck flavors. I only wish it had more vegetables. There were only green onions, bean sprouts, and I think some lenon grass as garnishes. But still tasted sooo good altogether. The staff was very interactive with guests, which made me smile.

This place is amazing! Great atmosphere and service every time. Music is not too loud and their choice of songs is fantastic. I strongly recommend the duck dishes 😋 the ginger tea (iced) is yummy and I love the cheesecake. I've tried a few sushi items and everything was delicious. Also tried the avocado salad and coconut soup, nice appetizer ideas. Family friendly but the place is small so I personally only go for dates with my husband, we love it!

Ordered takeout... and accidentally ordered Tom Yum with chicken (guess I didn’t uncheck on the app). They fixed it for me before my order was ready and were very nice about it. Food was flavorful, fresh, and just the right amount of spice. Portions were perfect... and everything was packaged well for takeout. Here on a work trip but would definitely visit again while traveling through.
