I absolutely love seafood and this restaurant took seafood to another level! Delicious ! Customer service was excellent! We have something similar in my city but they do don’t understand that you can’t cheat on the seasoning. Crafty crab seasoning was so good and to top it off the steam bag had noodles in it!!! I was a bit hesitant trying this new joint in Brandon just because I havent had great food experience since moving here. But dang, when I say scrumptious 😋 I enjoyed EVERYTHING. I ordered the catfish dinner with fries and a side of hush puppies. Everything was beautifully presented. Catfish seasoned and breaded with perfection. Fries perfectly seasoned and the hush puppies OMG the best Ive had in years. I couldnt pass up on the opportunity to write raving reviews about this place. I just hope that they would continue cooking consistently the way they did tonight. Both my husband and I truly enjoyed ☺ Cant wait to try the shrimp basket next. Thanks for an amazing dinner tonight 😋 💓 Update: You definitely know when something tastes good if you're back at it the next day. I finally got to try the fried shrimp and my husband got the catfish. We weren't the only ones who enjoyed the meal, my toddler loved the shrimp and onion rings as well 😋. We love it we love it!!! Thanks Crafty Crab for another Amazing dinner 💓💓💞💞

Holy moly have you ever had food that makes you reevaluate your life? If you haven’t you need to visit crafty crab. Absolutely delicious. We stopped by and had drinks and were only hungry for an app. We had the crab meat fries and they were amazing. We didn’t even have time to take a picture of how beautiful it was before we started digging in. Our waitress Jasmine was so fun and laughed with us. What an amazing experience.

I don’t know why I waited so long to try this place. The cocktails are strong. The seafood is fresh, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Our server, CiCi was extremely helpful, attentive, and very personable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

I’ve replaced my old fish place for the catfish here. The fish is not small! One of the things I love about it. They are pretty consistent. They don't dip their fish in buttermilk. 👍🏾 I can't eat it like that. The waitress was patient with me and my indecisiveness, great demeanor, very personable and knowledgeable. I love the decor. It's always clean.

Crafty Crab was the very first seafood boil restaurant to open in Brandon. I've tried all the other restaurants with the same concept in this area. Yep, there are three other places. So, why not save the first one that opened in Brandon for last? That makes no sense at all, but I'm glad that I did. There were only a few patrons dining the whole time I was there between noon and 1pm. Fortunately, I had my choice of seating. The restaurant is clean, cool, and comfortable. The menu varies in price range from just under $10 for a half pound of your choice of seafood to a little over $70 for a pound of king crab legs. There are four sauces that you can get at different heat levels. The last of the four is a combination of Cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper, and it's called "The Boom" sauce. Sounds familiar, right? I decided to go with what I love. I usually get a half dozen steamed oysters as an appetizer along with a half pound of green mussels in the combo sauce. What I think is unique is that you can also add ramen noodles to your boil bag for an additional charge. In fact, this is the only restaurant of its type in the area that does this. It seriously is the best way to soak up that yummy sauce (besides a side of steamed rice). I wish all the seafood boil restaurants had ramen as an add on. Anyway, all was good with the exception of the sauce. The Boom sauce was extremely salty in the bag. I didn't notice it being that way on the steamed oysters, so I'm not sure why it tasted so salty in the bag. I do want to go back and try the garlic butter next time just to compare the two sauces. I think that was the only issue I had. The mussels were a good size and tasty. The potatoes were a generous size as well. The service was fantastic! Charli made sure I had everything that I needed, and she checked in on me often to make sure I was happy. She was super sweet & helpful, and I hope I get her again next time. There will be more lunch time visits. Especially since they offer ramen noodles.

Place is kind of dead. Food is good. Waiter with 70's sideburns was great. Staff is diverse. Pleased with the experience. Needs to update decor. And that's not gumbo. Stop selling that to people. And waaaay too much rice. The steam oysters were great. Asked for garlic butter and fire and there was no fire, but it was still good.

Was hoping to find a place to go for steamed oysters. The oysters here were small and the crackers were stale. Didn't meet my expectations though. Didn't try anything else so maybe I'll give their shrimp boil a taste in future. Meanwhile my search for a good oyster bar continues.

If you haven't tried crafty crab yet, you're missing out! I took my family there Saturday night and we had an amazing time. We were greeted and sat promptly, the server was quick to our table and our appetizers and drinks were brought out quickly, might I add the steamed and raw oysters were to die for. We ordered king , snow and blue crab with headless shrimp.. so fresh and the best seasoned I've had EVER.. If you want great service, drinks and freshest seafood this is the place to be! There was also a DJ on this night and he was really good and played music for everyone! My new favorite place to eat!

Fantastic place for the seafood bowl. Pricing is reasonable (no hidden fees), discount for veterans and/or active duty (must show some type of ID card whether it's a retired ID, active duty ID or VA medical card). The service received was wonderful and the server was out of this world 😀😉👍👌. A lot of other servers should have her qualities.

Great seafood broil restaurant. Choose your seafood in half pound or full pound sizes. Choose from four seasonings and three spice levels. They also have great, large raw oysters. Good cocktails and friendly service.

Great crab at an excellent price. I had a crab craving and this was our 1st visit to the Crafty Crab. I really enjoyed the gumbo (I got it with rice but you can do it without) and fried clams to start with. It's definitely worth doing the crab boil specials, we got a whole lobster, 6 big shrimp, 1lb king crab, sausage, potatoes and corn with lemon pepper and butter garlic seasonings for the same price as 2 lbs of crab. It was so tasty! It fed both of us and then some, we will definitely be back!

If you haven't been to Crafty Crab lately, 🦀Try it now!!!🦀 The food is better prepared and the service is great. They must have a new cook. My scallops were cooked to perfection. Sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. My cocktail was perfectly made. ☆☆☆☆☆

Good enough food. Service was not very good. The server was playing with his phone alot and I had to call him for drink refill.

The staff was very nice, no complaints on service. We all got fried shrimp and catfish and it had to be the blandest breading we've ever had. Its like they put no salt or pepper or anything in it at all. The sauce was pretty good so at least you can dip it. Just wish it had some flavor.

I ordered Fried Grouper with red potatoes. My daughter ordered Chicken Strips and Fries. The batter on all was very crisp and flavorful. The fish was fresh. There is a lot of food which explains why it is so pricey. The best time to eat here is lunchtime as it is less expensive. If you are a sweet tea drinker you probably won’t like it here… it’s not fresh brewed… I don’t care for premixed tea. Definitely better than Mr. and Mrs. Crab.

I’m not a fibber so I’m gonna be completely honest walking in the place is so cute it’s a nice ambience. Sitting down I look at the menu and realize it’s kind of pricey but I understand it’s seafood so me and my guest order half a pound of king crab each the presentation was nice I open up my bag and there’s one singular crab leg and two potatoes it looked almost sad but I understand the crab is big so I start to open the shell and the meat inside was may be the equivalent of a blue crab leg so small it was unbelievable all together me and my party spent over $100 on half pound plates and left the restaurant hungrier than when we arrived the server did everything in her power to try and fix the issue for us even replaced our crab but at the end of the day it’s just the quality of the product they have I don’t know if the crab was malnourished or sick or something but it was absolutely ridiculous how small the meat was compared to the shell it’s a great restaurant if you want experience for the one time but I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place you would probably get better quality and fuller at red lobster the only reason I’m giving one star is because my server gave it her all we still tipped of course because it’s not her fault but would definitely recommend going somewhere else if u want to get full and enjoy urself because definitely no one shouldn’t spend $100 for two single crab legs and four potatoes(for reference the picture of the actual crab meat next to the shell was the leg that they gave us to replace the other leg that had no meat)

****Recommend this Place****You are under the sea’s at the place. Fishes hanging from the ceiling and shadows of sharks and crabs. This place looks amazing. Crafty Brandon isn’t your normal seafood restaurant decor. Instead of fish nets all over the ceiling they have fishes and other sea creatures!!! Unique and fun, first time coming here and i loved it. The food was amazing too. I got some fried shrimp and the portions was just right. I also got a Seafood boil with shrimp and snow crabs really good and the sauce was great. It was the garlic butter seasoning.

My wife loved her seafood boil! I myself don’t eat seafood but she raves for seafood! Dani was our server and she was friendly, accommodating to certain needs. Would definitely recommend.
