I had a great experience at this time place as it was my first time in Lakeland and decided to check it I and my boyfriend searched and found it since he knows I am from the island he knew I will like it because it's a Louisiana restaurant. The server was very nice and honest I like her reaction went above and beyond, I didn't remember her name she was so sweet. I ordered me a salmon, but I wish I asked well done it didn't cook well at all I brought it home to re-cook. Overall the service was nice.

This restaurant is located inside the Cleveland Heights Golf Club. The bar area is a little dark, but there is also a patio and multiple meeting rooms for groups. I went recently for a board meeting, where the staff provided a limited menu printed on paper, allowing us to each circle our selection and turn it in to the waitress. This was excellent, as it did not interrupt the meeting with order-taking. I ordered the grilled fish sandwich with no bread, as I am eating a low carb diet. I also ordered a salad as my side. Everything was delicious! The fish was cooked perfectly and flavorful, and the salad was fresh and delicious. It also came with coleslaw with was lightly dressed, so it was tasty but not too heavy. I have been here for other meals, and love the Reuben and their Parmesan Fries, and also many of the appetizers.

Outstandingly positive experience tonight! Loved the service and the food was not only delicious but incredibly satisfying. Terrific variety to choose from. Couldn't get enough of the olive tapenade! Scrumptious! And they have a lovely, family-friendly pub atmosphere. Will be back to check out more of the menu.

I reached out to 1916 to have a graduation brunch for my daughter. From the start to finish, the service was incredible! Emily & Jennifer were awesome in helping me plan and made it so perfect the day of the brunch! They set us up in the ballroom. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas which made for a wonderful atmosphere! The wait staff was great! The food was great! I can’t say enough about our experience! I highly recommend using them when planning your next event!

Met friends here for lunch and sat out on the patio to enjoy a lovely Florida fall afternoon. Beautiful views of the golf course. Great food and enormous portions

Sports bar atmosphere, on a very nice golf course. I've been coming here for years and never had a bad meal. The Shephards pie is amazing.

I always enjoy coming to this place. The food is delicious, and the waitresses are friendly and delightful. The only problem was we had to pay cash because the credit card machine broke. It was not the waitresses fault in any way, but unfortunately, a few of the ladies did not have cash, so they had to borrow from others. We were happy to loan money to others, but there needs to be a system in place if it happens again.

I was really excited to try some of the Irish themed food at this pub, but I was so disappointed. The shepherd’s pie was so dry! We tried the fish and chips and the coleslaw had no flavor and the fish was like hard rubber. The fries were good though. They do make an excellent Irish stew in a bread bowl so I would recommend that. Service was so slow despite being empty. They gave me two free drink vouchers for the wait so I gave service 4 stars. We probably won’t be back because it was overpriced for the food quality.

Came here about 3 weeks or so ago with my husband and just found my receipt in my purse and wanted to do a review. First off, our service from Kelsey was amazing. Supper attentive but also helped with recommendations that we LOVED. It got a pop around lunch time and she handled it with grace and was still super friendly and made sure we had a great experience. Will be coming back with the hopes Kelsey takes care of us again! We loved our flat bread!!

Came here with a group the other day. I got Italian style Pot Roast with alfredo. It was very good. Everyone enjoyed their food. There is a good variety of choices on the menu. Staff was friendly and efficient. A relaxed and casual atmosphere.

I absolutely love everything about 1916. The atmosphere, both indoor and outdoor, is comfortable. It can get loud at times, but that's to be expected when sitting inside near the bar. The food is always delicious and I was excited to see them expand their menu last year. The drinks are always cold and the service is usually great. There have been a few times when the restaurant and bar were packed and service seemed slow, but that's expected. They could probably benefit from more staff, but they handle what they have well. I highly suggest their Nachos, Bruschetta, Cuban sandwich.

I suggest find someplace else to eat and/or drink. Seriously, my husband and I just walked out. We went in to grab a draft beer, bar is not packed, walked right up, and sat at the bar. Two Bartenders working. Not one acknowledged us, nor even looked at us. We waited ten minutes without any acknowledgment. Their focus was on the walk-ups to the server station. The walk-ups were not servers but customers. The staff blatantly ignored the people sitting at the bar. I was a Bartender for years. First rule, no matter how busy you are acknowledge people who sit down. Second rule, make eye contact and say I will be right with you. To note, they were not that busy and this is located at a golf course. A shame that poorly trained staff will cost a business money. We are in town for a tournament and planned on going back tonight and tomorrow to eat. Would have gave zero stars if Google allowed.

I took the boys for lunch after a basketball game at the YMCA and we sat outside on the patio. They both wanted the Chicken and Waffles special and I got a cobb salad without meat. The servers were very friendly and the service was fast!

This restaurant does not have enough staff to serve clients. Every time we have gone after a round of golf we have waited a long time for our drinks and food! Not the poor server’s fault of course. The management needs to get their act together and hire help. We actually had to clear off our table! We won’t be eating here again until things change!

We had a group of 22 (yes a bit larger than normal), but we did call to let them know this. Waitress did great handling all of us, but kitchen fell behind. A few of our people waited more than 30 minutes to get their food. Do they have only one food preparer?

Family- friendly atmosphere, beautiful views of the green, attentive and friendly service, and really good foods. We went last month for the first time since pre-COVID, and we've been back 2x since then.

I meet a friend here for lunch once a month and always get the special of the day. Food is always on point, the menu has a great selection, the service is quick and friendly, and the drinks are mixed correctly!

Was at a birthday party in one of the private rooms. Have previously dined in the Irish Pub & food was above average -- service was above average. Would go there occasionally, but not a first chouce.

Had a wonderful time sitting out on the patio with the family eating. Manager and waitress’ were all great. Stop in and get a fish sandwich… you won’t be disappointed.

This is one of the dining rooms at the Cleveland Heights Golf Club, the food is very good, try the Cobb Salad. Good service , sit outside in the fresh air watch the golfers, escape the pox.

My experience was okay. Service was slow. Food was okay. A plate of wings came out burnt, my flatbread had good seasoning but it was dry, needed more sauce. The basil pesto Parmesan fries needed salt and Parmesan. Many people go for the drinks and football, probably best to stay with that.

Great food and drinks served by a friendly staff! We really like grabbing a quick bite here - always good. The fish dip is excellent!

Been here several times, this was by far the best food, experience and service I've had. Live band Happy St Patrick's day!
