A restaurant with typical food from the region! They are very tasty and well made! Portions are quite large and quality products! environments with very beautiful decoration to photograph, the attendants are very attentive and polite I'll be back to eat other dishes, for those who like to eat a lot and for a fair price! this is a great place!

I will definitely be coming back here. The food was absolutely delicious and as busy as they were the service was great. They brought coleslaw and biscuits that were so good we ate them in no time…so they brought us more. I’m not a big coleslaw fan but I think this was the best I’ve ever had. We all got the catfish~so good! Highly recommend.

Great food at a low cost! My boyfriend and I stopped here for lunch. The food was so good and plenty. I had the catfish and my bf got the stuffed crab. They start you out with biscuits for the table. They offer cinnamon, honey, and regular butter at the table. Just spread on the goodness and eat. I would definitely return and recommending to all. Also there is fruit stand right next to the restaurant as well nice size fruit and vegetables. 😋

Awesome place! Everything was fantastic from the fried mushroom appetizer to the catfish dinner and the shrimp and scallop kabob over rice pilaf.. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was great!

Based on the appearance of the front of the restaurant I wasn’t interested in dining at this place. Upon walking in, I could still smell the cigarettes from someone smoking outside. As soon we were seated, we were greeted by Ms. Amanda who provided us with great service. She made some great recommendations, and the food was served in good timing. She brought us some warm great tasting biscuits. I ordered the beer battered haddock, with mashed potato & gravy, and green beans. The green beans were one of the best I’ve eaten! The fish was very good and tasty. My partner had the fried pick three, with Shrimp, Gator, and catfish. EVERYTHING was very good! I would recommend this dish as a first time dish so that you may try it all. Cons: I wish they made their tartar sauce in-house. That would have just tipped it all off. All and all, a great experience and food!! Thank you 😊

I used to come here all the time as a kid. Now as an adult it’s just as good if not better. This place has gotten better with age. All my family loved their food. Fantastic food an service. Can’t wait to be back.

Walking in the place reminds me of an old Southern-style restaurant....Po' Folks! The staff was courteous and greet you as you walk-in. The biscuits were on point, and I enjoyed selecting how my fish was cooked (Blackened, Grilled, or Fried). The two sides I ordered: Green Beans & Black-eyed Peas were also delicious, seasoned well, and proportioned just right. This place is definitely on my recommendation list of "Places to Eat"

Was invited here for dinner with some family members on a Wednesday evening. The place had a decent number of folks eating there, considering it was a weekday, which is a good sign. My hubby and I aren't seafood eaters. I ordered the chicken tendered and baked beans, and my hubby ordered the steak and fries. My chicken tenders were huge, and the meal was very well-portioned. You definitely get your money's worth! The chicken was really good, and their buffalo sauce had a tasty uniqueness to it, I recommend it. My husband said his steak was alright. That's to be expected though when you don't order seafood at a seafood restaurant. Nevertheless, he enjoyed the meal. My other family members ordered shrimp and clam. They both loved the taste. Hushpuppies were really good, too. Our waitress forgot a few things and messed up a drink. I normally don't bother with that, but she wasn't apologetic at all and was a little rushed. I can only hope it was a one time thing. Overall, we all enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The place is decked out with coastal fengshui, and it feels homey. Recommend this place if you want some great seafood.

This place has been around a long long time and you'll understand why when you go. The food is always fantastic. Served quickly by friendly staff. As soon as you sit down they bring biscuits and coleslaw. Your drinks arrive right away. Don't eat too many biscuits or you won't have room for the generous portions for the entree. You will not leave hungry.

Great service and great food. We stopped in for lunch one weekend on a road trip based on Google reviews and we were not disappointed. All the fish we ordered (catfish and grouper) seemed very fresh and the batter was very light. The portions were very big and served very hot. The grouper sandwich had two giant pieces on it. The servers were very attentive and regularly checked in on us while we were there. The restrooms were spotless and smelled clean and the restaurant overall was very clean. When we are in this part of the state again, we will definitely look to stop in.

Catfish Country is a no-frills, local fish fry. It's a come as you are kinda restaurant. They offer a variety of seafood that can often be baked, fried, or blackened. It's a family-friendly place with eclectic decor.

10/10 will recommend, everything was so good! Server was nice and attentive. The catfish was juicy and flavorful. Our fave was the blackened one! One of the cleanest restaurants I've experienced!

Stopped by here last night for dinner, and was amazed! The food was delicious, good sized servings! Their French fries taste just like they should, like a potato. I got the coconut shrimp with a baked potato on the side, it was delightful! Our server was Hannah, she was awesome. We didn’t have to wait too long for our food to come out fresh and hot. The sides were great, as well as the coleslaw, biscuits, and the hushpuppies. I loved the decorations and the overall feel of the place! Such a lovely gem, would 100% recommend!

It was my wife and i's first experience. I'm pretty sure we got the best server (TONI) she was very knowledgeable of the menu and just all around a great waitress. The food was super fresh and came out quickly . The restaurant was extremely clean. We will definitely be back again for the food and for Toni !!!

Awesome place. They serve warm biscuits and fresh Cole slaw. Had fried green tomatoes (8 slices) which were excellent they come with a horseradish sauce. Coconut shrimp (6 large shrimp). For the meal we had a huge codfish sandwich with fries and hushpuppy as well as fried clam strips. I had the black eyed peas as my side, those were excellent as well. Our waitress was excellent as well check on us frequently, since we couldn't decide what to try, wanted 1 of everything. She also made sure my sweet tea was always filled. Will definitely make the hour drive just to come eat here again.

This restaurant is just WOW! A must try location. It’s easy to locate and has plenty of parking. The entire place has a great fisherman style design with the different pictures and the works everywhere. The staff was extremely friendly! From the host, servers to the clean up crew. Upon being seated you are providing some biscuits, butter and coleslaw to start. We ordered the Alligator nuggets, Fried Calamari, crispy krabby cakes, fresh mahi mahi, kids corn dogs and Alaskan crab legs. The food was AMAZING. Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Every thing was fried or boiled perfectly. The customer service was exceptional. We never went without an empty glass or supplies, I love that we had a few people in our party order drinks and didn’t even have to ask for waters. The staff was extremely attentive. My only feedback - which has nothing to do with this restaurant just restaurants in general, they have amazing seafood and a great selection for adults however the kids menu is your every day basic options like Mac n cheese, corn dogs, burgers etc. but no seafood options. And kids DO enjoy seafood.

The food was ok. I ordered the baked trio (shrimp, fish, scallops), shrimp & scallops were very overcooked. Hubby had the blackened fish which was SO SALTY; he said his calamari was good. Momma had broiled shrimp which was ok. The most tasty dish was the garlic mashed potatoes, it was actually perfect. Our server Barb was fabulous.

My mother and I went here for lunch. My fried grouper sandwich was so delicious and they give you two patties of fish. The sweet potato was huge and yummy with the cinnamon butter. My mom had Krabby cakes that were tasty. And I also loved the coleslaw and hush puppies. The portions are very big. Our waitress Barbara was very sweet and welcoming a baby soon.

Fast friendly service, no waiting on a Wednesday evening at 630pm in July. Delicious grilled catfish and cod with creamy cole slaw comes with hush puppies and one side. We gotItalian green beans and fantastic sweet potato fries. Worth the extra price for my added side salad. We came for our anniversary but it's casual and comfortable. You won't be disappointed!

This was our first visit. We ordered the catfish baked beans and baked potato. A bowl of slaw with biscuits was delivered right away. I have never had catfish breaded with just flour. Most of the time, cornmeal is used with flour. It was good, but it wasn't southern fried catfish. The hushpuppy was good. The restrooms were clean.

I came here for the first time after a friend told me it was a great place to eat. I have to admit he was right. The coleslaw and biscuits that we got were so tasty. I'm very picky about my slaw and this was probably one of the very best I have tried. The biscuits are served warm with a cinnamon butter that melted a soon as you put it on. Our waiter was fast and took care of our needs efficiently. We started with the sampler appetizer and it did not disappoint. A little bit heavy on the salt but still cooked to perfection. The only thing that I didn't like was how quickly the entrees came out from the appetizers. My recommendation is to order your entrees after your appetizers are served.

Last night was my wife's birthday, and she wanted to try a new place for dinner. So. It was Catfish Country time. This was our first ime eating here and we walked away with full stomachs and some leftovers. We both got fish, scallops, shrimp .... just cooked differently. Her food was tasty, while mine lacked, especially the cod. But the overall experience and atmosphere made our dinner worthwhile.

I never go 5 star across the board, but this place deserves it. Wait staff was as out of this world as the food. Reminds of what Florida restaurants used to be. Everyone who owns a restaurant should bring their staff there for retraining. Can not say enough about them. I hope they never sell out to someone who wants to make a chain.

I’m not from around here. And when my SO took me here for dinner, I really didn’t expect much. Seafood is so easy to get wrong. But I fell in love with this place. The calamari was tasted, not bland. The fish wasn’t over cooked. And I actually loved their cole slaw, which they bring out in a big bowl as a starter to each table. I never thought I would find a cole slaw I liked that wasn’t KFC’s, but I did. Next time we come back up this way, I will definitely go back.
