Finally found my spot for clam chowder!! We ordered calamari, chowder, snapper with the Felix, and jambalaya. The only thing that wasn't amazing was the jambalaya-it was decent but not something we'd order again. The Felix add on was everything. Chowder is the best I've had in the Tampa area and the service was fantastic! I wish I could remember our server's name, but it was the guy with dark hair and glasses. We'll definitely be back.

Draft beer for only $4. Also, we had delicious steamed shrimp as an appetizer. My husband had the catch of the day with rice and vegetables. I had a Cesar salad with grilled salmon on top. I asked for my dressing on a side. It was a great experience

This restaurant by far exceeded our expectations in terms of service and food expectations. Bailey was our waitress and was an exceptional example of a what exceptional customer service should be. She was knowledgeable and always on top of our needs. Never had to ask once for our drinks to be filled or ask for additional services. She always was attentive. The rest of the staff were exceptional as well. The waiters would place the food into the kitchen and immediately after we would receive our order. All the foods are professionally prepped and present exceptional presentation. They make you feel like your eating right off the beach. We are also a military family and they provided us with an amazing military discount as well. We definitely recommend this place to all family and friends!

This was our first and will be our only time to visit. We ordered crab cakes and the clam chowder for an appetizer. Both were great. Our boys both like their burger and chicken sandwich. All other dishes were honestly a disappointment. I ordered the coconut shrimp dish. The fries were the best part about the meal. The “mandarin slaw” was missing the mandarin. Coconut shrimp was not what I expected. The texture was not for me. I was only able to eat one shrimp. The waitress knew I did not like the meal when she came to clear plates. She did ask if I wanted something else. I declined. She advised that they were not able to comp the meal.

Wow! Living in the Midwest I don't get seafood this fresh and Shells doesn't disappoint! Our server Bailey, is friendly and personable. She showed true interest in us and helped us navigate the menu to pick the best dishes for us. I asked what she would order and she recommended: Fresh Mahi Mahi Felix topped with jumbo lump crabmeat and roasted red peppers in a lobster cream sauce. Served with seasoned rice over vegetable medley. (Pictured) I was not disappointed, I am still so full an hour after eating while writing this. Thank you Bailey, perfect choice! I think this should be called "The Bailey Special" My wife got the Baby Lobster Pasta, Succulent baby lobster tails tossed with linguine in lobster cream sauce. She was blown away and the sauce could be a soup! Our son "ubered" us so we could enjoy the bar, we started off with a Mojito (wife) (which the bartender didn't know how to make but got it pretty close) I got the house margarita with a sugar rim, very good. We then switched gears to an Island Breeze (AMAZING! Light and refreshing like the name suggests and my drink the Rum Punch was true to its name too as it felt like I got punched in the face rum, not a bad thing! Atmosphere is light and approximately themed, everything looked and smelled clean. We don't live here, but if we return we will be back! Food was decent although my wife found hers inedible, poorly cooked shrimp and the sauce tasted sour. Staff very friendly and helpful. Island and vacation vibes, very fun. Was not too busy when we were there for an early dinner, but it started getting busy as we were leaving, so you may need to be prepared for a wait!

We went for my moms birthday, and we had this inside joke at our booth which would have been worse: shells or red lobster. Unfortunately we all voted shells. The food was not great, but the service was good.

Everything was good! Prices are decent. Service was a little slow but they could have been short staffed. Variety of food options. They also have a small happy hour drink menu.

This place never disappointed me it's one of my favorite places when I want to eat some real good food. The clam chowder is one of the best soups. I've had pasta dishes as well, as well as the salmon dish which wasn't bad at all

Shells is a popular seafood chain across Florida. This location is in Brandon, FL. The decor of the restaurant was nice, clean, and welcoming. Our staff was friendly, and took a short time preparing our food. The shrimp and carb dip is a must get here! The dip has lots of flavor, gooey, and great to eat! Had the right amounts of chunk too. I also liked the shrimp and scallops pasta. The pasta was good. It was angel hair, and it had good flavors. Overall, would definitely recommend checking out! Would be a much better alternative to Red Lobster.

We were the first couple in at 4pm. Food was excellent and service. My dish was Salmon Felix and my husband had 8oz sirloin with 2 shrimp skewers added on.

Went to Shells for my 64th birthday😃Had the seafood pasta… it should be called, Seafood Delight! It was packed full of seafood and was delicious. If I didn’t know better I would have thought the sauce was made with butter, but it’s not. So rich and buttery tasting and silky smooth. Our waitress was so sweet and thoughtful by putting a “Happy Birthday” message on my dessert❤️Fabulous! Thank you. This is our favorite place to eat.

Amazing staff, scrumptious food, fun atmosphere. I am so glad we found this place! We will make it a staple! The clam chowder is the best I ever had! Our fantastic water Rodney gave us great dinner suggestions. Margaritas were the bomb!!! We will be back.

Food and service was delightful. The crabcakes were delicious. I gave it 4 stars because the fish could've used a little more season and the linguini was very salty. Our waiter (Ronnie) was fantastic and I loved the way all of the wait staff work together to make sure you have a pleasant experience. Although there were a couple of misses, we will be back to try it again.

Was not my best experience. My shrimp in my pasta had shells on it. My partners meal has mushrooms, though we requested non. Will give them another chance but the other two locations have been better. Our waitress was great though.

We came here as my Husband wanted good seafood and they delivered! My husband had the tortellini pasta with shrimp and scallops. I had the chicken pasta. Both were huge servings and very delicious! As a bonus, I am 19 weeks pregnant with our first baby and we’ve been putting off finding out the gender as we were unsure of what to do between just the two of us. My Husband had an idea, and asked our waitress if she’d be able to open our email with the gender and bring him either a blue margarita or a pink margarita. She was so sweet to agree and made the moment special by going above and beyond! She brought out a clear glass for the drink with a lime and salt on the rim, and then in a dark glass that you couldn’t see through, she had the margarita. We asked her to pour it for us and…. it was pink! Other waitstaff was standing by and congratulated us and cheered. Then some came by throughout the meal to chat and offer advice. We couldn’t have asked for a more special, but low-key reveal. Thank you Shells in Brandon for helping making our dinner and this moment special! We’ll definitely be back. Food is amazing and the atmosphere gave off laid-back beach vibes!

We used to go to the Shells in Carrollwood (which had great food and reasonable portions) until it closed. The Shells on Fowler was terrible. The Brandon location was similar to the Carrollwood location. The quality of food remains great. However the portions we received on this trip as opposed to previous visits to Carrollwood and Brandon were insulting. I typically get the shrimp tacos, which up until this visit included 3 tacos. This trip I only received 2 tacos, The shrimp tacos also used to come with fries (their fries are great), but they were apparently replaced fries with chips. Bad move! My sons each ordered a kids meal, the portions (even for a kids meal) were questionable to me. Again, the quality of Shell’s food remains great, but as a long-time patron, this visit was rather insulting. I hope the Brandon location returns to their previous glory.

First time I been here. The jambalaya is great! Wonderful service. The waitresses would refill my drink without me even having to ask. So friendly and kind. I highly recommend this place! Good food for a good price!

One of my husband’s favorite places. The vibe is chill and the service has always been great. Just a nice casual place but with great food and still good for date night. I would take out of town guests or family and friends. Everything I’ve tried on the menu has been great. My favorite is their seafood pasta. I used to love getting their mussels but they took those off the menu but that could have been a supply thing. They also used to have a huge bowl of shrimp scampi that I would love for them to put on the menu again. My husband loves the grilled shrimp skewers but I can pretty much recommend anything on their menu.

Me and my family celebrated my son 16 birthday. The host was pleasant and greeted everyone who was a guest to the dinner. Our waiter was so amazing. He was genuine, fast with and accurate with our food order. Overall, I pray he felt the appreciation for being so kind to me and my family.
