TO MY FELLOW JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES WHO MAY BE LOOKING AT THIS HOTEL: UPDATE #2: Well, it's been 7 days since our unfortunate situation at Quality Inn Plant City. Despite the response from the owner that they are sorry and want to rectify the situation, nobody has contacted us to do so. We attend an assembly on this exit twice a year, with well over 1000 attendees and we will make sure to let everyone know about our experience, the smell in the hotel as well as the treatment from Jasmine, the supervisor. Update: Thank you for your response. I look forward to hearing how you will rectify this situation and will post an update accordingly. DO NOT STAY AT QUALITY INN PLANT CITY! We had a really bad experience that easily could have been rectified. Instead of being helpful when I called, Jasmine was rude and chose not to help us. She wouldn't give me the courtesy to listen, instead she went into defensive mode and displayed poor customer service. When we arrived my husband had a severe bloody nose so we were already in a difficult situation. We were given room 115 and upon going in I instantly got a headache due to the terrible odor in the room. My daughter got an instant migraine. I was trying to help my husband but my daughter's migraine was getting more and more debilitating by the minute. I went to the front desk and asked if we could switch rooms because of the smell. The man working the counter was kind and helpful. He switched us to room 215, which smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. At this point my daughter is at the toilet about to vomit because of the migraine the hotel rooms caused, and my husband's nosebleed warranted a trip to the emergency room. After being there in total about an hour (partially in one room and partially in another) we had to check out so I could take them to the hospital to get treated. When I called to ask about getting a refund we were told that they would not refund us because it wasn't enough of a medical emergency. They said that because we were there for an hour between the two rooms that they "couldn't sell the room that night". We stay in that area twice a year because we attend an assembly around the corner and have several friends who stay in the area too. We will make sure to tell everyone to visit the Holiday Inn next door instead. It is a much nicer place. We would have stayed there ourselves if they weren't booked. Lesson learned!! Our next step is to contact the FTC regarding the smells and cleanliness of the rooms. (I'm not a representative of Jehovah's witnesses, I'm just a regular person trying to warn my friends so they don't suffer a bad experience like we did)

The manager and staff were extremely helpful and exuded kindness. The room was nice and well kept. The breakfast however left much to be desired and was really the only negative to our stay. Jasmine was a very gracious Hostess.

We are a trucking family. Who decided to stop for the night . First room we got the fridge had a Freon leek. Moved us to room across the hall. We brought all food out of truck fridge and put into fridge in new room. No freezer so we could not freeze our ice packs. 1 hr later I got a drink out of fridge and noticed it was not working. Seen a it was froze up. Turned it off so to melt ice. Took ice off coil turned back on took 3 hrs to get cold. Took soak in the hot tub, drain cover needs to be replaced. As it has a big hole in which someone if not careful can hurt themselves . Got up this morning to take a shower took a bit to turn the water on. Took a bit to get warm then it would not cool down . Ended up burning my skin . Was told breakfast was at 6 was going to eat before we left no chance in that. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Checking in was easy. But i mean you get what you pay for I guess. We payed $100 for our one night stay. The door has to be shoved a little to open it. There was two roaches . One on the night stand and one in the bathroom . There was also some other kind of bug on the bathroom floor . The tub drain was apparently stopped up because while I was showering the tub started to fill up. Theres cracks in the wall in the bathroom. The towels had stains on them. The bathroom has mold in it. Everything else about the room was fine.

This was honestly the worst place ever. I asked the lady at the front desk a question about why they weren't serving breakfast, knowing that I booked through a third party, and instead of answering my question she was argumentative and rude. She yelled at me about me booking through a third party and how it was my fault then canceled my reservations without my permission. DO NOT STAY HERE, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. YOU WILL REGRET THIS PLACE, I PROMISE YOU.

I made reservations for this hotel back in March. My best friend who is blind and I travel 9 hours to get here. The man that was working the front desk was burping in my friend's face. My friend told him "Excuse you, that's rude" that's when the owner walked over and refused our reservation and told us to leave and that he didn't care where we stayed. We had to leave the property before he called the police on us and I had to try and find a hotel that was within the same price range. As long as this owner is part of the Quality Inn franchise, I will NEVER stay at another Quality Inn

While in Plant City, you will enjoy this hotel. The beds were large and comfortable, and the rooms were spotlessly clean; the front desk was informative and attentive. The price is lower than other hotels in this area. Small fridge and microwave in the room as well. The showers were hot and never-ending. I definitely Recommend this hotel

No frills. Bed was comfy. Decent channels on tv. They're going thru a renovation, so will probably be modernized in a few months. Did not serve breakfast as advertised. Room safe didn't work.

They wouldn't let me give 0 stars. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Huge stains all over the carpets, mold in the bathroom, broken bed. False advertising because they do not have complimentary breakfast. I would not allow my dog to stay here. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. SRAY AWAY.....DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

I stay at a lot of the hotels through choice hotels and this one is definitely subpar. The rooms are dated, the tub does not have the ability to be used as a bath, the floor is uneven and there are multiple indications of dry rot and mold.

The photos on the hotels website did not reflect the actual rooms. Rooms were advertised as newly remodeled, however they were old, dingy, smelled like pet urine and had stains on the pillows and sheets. I switched to a different room and had the same problem so immediately checked out and got a refund and went to the Holiday inn next door. They have a special rate for guests coming from this quality and property.

We stayed the night here to break up a long drive from Georgia to Miami. Pros: The hotel is clean, and the pool is also excellent. Buffet breakfast with cereals, muffins, toast, waffles, etc., a fitness center, free parking, wifi. Nice play to stay, and excellent staff. Cons: The ones I did notice are not that significant. While the rooms were updated, there were still some noticeably old things, like the curtains and the faucets in the shower/bath.

Well, my family and I came to stay here because our a/c unit broke at our rental house. But, we must have picked the wrong night, there is two men outside power washing the front of hotel, why are they doing this now, when people are trying to get some sleep! Why, why, why, why!πŸ«£πŸ˜©πŸ˜–πŸ˜€πŸ˜£

Nice staff and clean rooms at a great price! Housekeepers are very hospitable and helpful. An awesome place to kick it for a night or two.

First I want to say that we travel a lot as we attend dog shows so we are constantly staying at hotels/motels. The experience in this one was far from what we expected given the price! Totally overpriced for a room that has roaches visiting from time to time, the sink was constantly stuck with water as it wouldn't go down and in general needs renovation. To that, let's add the poor customer service, I wish people would get a job and do it happily... whoever took care of us the first night was really rude and even though there are plenty of signs saying the place is pet friendly when she saw our dogs aka fur babies she started making faces because we mentioned anything at check in but we made the reservation online and they knew it πŸ™„. Also the keys weren't working, so we had to wait everytime for someone to be at front desk to walk with us to our room and open it for us, each time we had to wait for 5~10 minutes... there was not ever an apology for the inconvenience or even a discount since that made our stay very uncomfortable... they simply just said they machine isn't working, we don't know when it'll get fixed.

Room was clean. No sign of bugs or mold. A/C was ok. Could use more water pressure. Don't count on breakfast, but you are in the same parking lot as Denny's, Burger King and Circle K. Was afraid to give Choice Hotels another try after 2 bad experiences, but this place was ok. I will stay here again next time I come to Plant City.

We needed a room to stay the night for my gbaby doctor appointment. According to the pictures online this place appeared to be nice and decent for just one night. We booked this hotel because of it being the only one in area with a hot tub. UNFORTUNATELY, when we arrived at this hotel it was absolutely the complete opposite of what the website portrayed. πŸ˜• VERY MUCH DISSATISFIED AND DISSAPPOINTED. The room was obviously nit throughly cleaned properly. There was garbage left on the ground and found several other items that past guest left in room. The bathroom was missing a portion of the base board/ wall on outside of tub and the door for obviously not the right door that should of been on the bathroom. I would not stay here again and especially not with kids. The front desk Jasmine when we checked in was very nice

My family and I relocated to this area and could not find a house. After 3 months Yessss!!!! 3 whole months we stayed in this Quality Inn. There are some really good people here. The Owner is understanding and the staff is on point. If you are ever in the area, this is the place too stay. Anytime I needed anything this staff made it happen. If something was broken they fixed it. The renovations are coming along and I know the Continental Breakfast will be good. If you need a place that doesn't hit your pockets too hard, come too this spot.😁 Some of these reviews on here are bogus as hell. But hey you can't satisfy everyone. They catered to my family and I. So don't let these naysayers stop you.πŸ‘πŸΏ

    - We think we brought bedbugs home because of this hotel. The pool was never open and always in maintenance. There was also a storm which blew out the power. While I understand that wasn’t their fault, the power wasn’t back up for about 4 hours while other places in the area didn’t have issues after the first hour. I heard that a lady got stuck in the elevator during that time. While it was a smoke free hotel, the halls smelled of weed. The ceilings seemed to have lots of water damage. We were led to believe that they had breakfast, but that wasn’t the case. + The channels were okay. The bed was somewhat comfy. Nothing was really wrong with our bathroom in particular. The staff was kind as well though. We weren’t charged for cancelling our last night. The stay wasn’t the absolute worst because we tried to make the best of it, but you really do get what you pay for i guess??

So this week I came with me and my fellow employees from work to stay at this hotel. The skinny dark skinned front desk employee was SUPER RUDE we had locked our key for the door inside the room, twice in a day. The following day it happened once more coming back from work and was asked for my person cell phone or 5$ for another key. Mind you I was never given another key after the first time we locked ourselves out which I returned. So when the following day it happened I ended up giving him my phone ??? Just for a key to open the door. Returned the key got my phone back. This morning while we are eating breakfast he comes up to us and says- you check out today, you can’t stay here. Even the manager apologized on his behalf the day before when the incident occurred ! It seemed to be the owners family so they can do whatever they like whenever they like.
