The room was comfortable, and clean. The front desk people were professional and nice. My low stars on service, I stayed there for 3 days and housekeeping never entered the room. I'm ok making my own bed, but it would have been nice to have the garbage cans emptied daily. But the food in the morning was fine. A selection of breakfast foods. The coffee was good. I would stay there again.

BE AWARE!! (I would have given this review a negative star if there was an option). I am shocked that Marriott would affiliate themselves with this particular location. I had the worst experience staying at this location it was a nightmare. First they would not honor my rate that I booked online which I have booked several times before. Instead of the receptive warm welcome that I am so accustomed to receiving from Marriot front desk staff. I was greeted with a tired and felt like I my presence there was annoying her and then was interrogated on why I was at their location. After a five hour drive and getting to the hotel pretty late at night and having to get up early the next day I figured I would just talk to a manager the next day and get it all straighten away. The hallways and elevator reeked of marijuana. The card to the room did not work had to walk down and get it programmed every time I had to get in the room. When I got to the room, the room looked like they had just done the bed and hung the towels. The counter and carpet were filthy. I even found a visible orange Vape pen sticking out underneath one of the beds. I brought it up to the staff and told them that this was unacceptable and even more because I was staying with my son who is a minor. They just brushed it off by offering points on my Bonvoy account. It almost looked like this type of incidents happen all the time so I contacted Marriot directly and reported the incident. I guess they didn't like that because after I check out I received 5 different invoices on my email. When I got back home I called to see why I was been invoiced 5 different times and was surprised when they told me that they found damage to on one of the walls in the room. They couldn't provide pics and I even talked to the General manager James Paterson-Hall to explained the awful experience I had and that I was been accused of damage to the room that we did not cause. I explained that if an orange vape pen was over looked while cleaning the room that the damage could have also been over looked before we stayed in the room. The manager was very fast to cover for his employee and was not much help. Take my advise if by some reason you decide to stay in this hotel make sure you video tape the room before you leave so they don't try to bill you later for something you didn't do, I went from a loyal customer who primary chose Marriott to stay when traveling to booking my next two travels with Wyndham.

Stayed here on 11/13/22, and it was okay. Not good, not horrible. The breakfast is subpar, but the 45 second walk to Dunkin makes that a wash. The bed was comfortable with many pillow firmness options, unfortunately there was what appeared to be a blood stain on one of the beds, so that is a wash. The table by the side exit of the hotel was a nice place to vape that was cool, but the "smoking" charge that was put on the credit card 3 weeks after the stay was not cool. The Marriot rep that we spoke with, on the phone about the charge, was friendly, however the video proof, that he claimed the hotel had, has still not been sent via email to me and the charge has not been reversed. Again, I am waiting for the video proof of me smoking in my room that the hotel said that they had. I have not smoked in more than 5 years, and more importantly how can they have a recording of me in my room doing something I haven't done?

Although the room did have a funny smell, it was clean. We had a suite as the other rooms were full. The bed was nice, and the room layout was a very nice touch. It's great to have a get a way from the truck.

Front desk staff and maintenance manager were fantastic. All were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything I needed. My room took longer than normal to be ready due to multiple weddings that weekend and the Strawberry Festival. However, the girl at the front desk ensured it would be ready in time to get dressed and ready for the wedding. She was very apologetic and even upgraded me to a suite due to the wait and my military status. The maintenance manager drove the shuttle to the venue and was very polite. He even had great recommendations on what to see in the area.

The receptionist was pleasant and later provided helpful suggestions of restaurants within a close radius; this was a good first impression. Not to be outdone, one of the chambermaids helped me master the nuance with the door fob. Finally, the hotel was clean, had a comfortable lounge and provided a nice variety for breakfast. A good experience overall.

This specific Marriott is for people who are mainly on the go, for example, Truck drivers. The hospitality was alright 👌. They did have pastries and coffee for the early morning movers and shakers though but all in all my main purpose was served (sleep),undisturbed thankfully......THANK YOU MARRIOTT

Lacked cleanliness. There were stains on the bed sheets and hairs in the towels. Breakfast was bad. You get what you pay for, I'd recommend spending the extra money elsewhere.

If I could give this hotel negative stars I would. I am a bride having a wedding nearby and chose this hotel because they provide shuttle service to my venue. This hotel has been nothing but TERRIBLE in regard to customer service. We got a room block and multiple guests have called and been turned away with staff stating “oh, there are no rooms available”. They did this to my own MOTHER who replied that she KNEW there were rooms available because she spoke to the woman who runs the hotel blocks (very hard to get ahold of, doesn’t reply in a timely matter) that morning. She was then put on hold for 10 minutes and then magically there were rooms available? I had guests that were booked out of the room block and had to pay full prices, I’ve had guests call with no answer, AND I’ve had guests that had to book at different hotels entirely! WORST hotel experience my family has ever had- I would NEVER recommend this hotel to any bride ever! Edit: the GM did reach out to try and remedy the situation after seeing my review online.

Beautiful stay. In town for business. Only for one night. Rooms were nice and clean. Shower was hot. breakfast in the am . And checkout isn't till noon. A little pricier than we usually see. Still around 200.

I was having a hard time breathing to realize the room I stayed had mold. The housekeeping staff was very friendly. The front desk needs a little more customer service training. The location was perfect right next to Lakeland

Really enjoyed my stay here for the most part. The beds are comfy, the breakfast is wonderful, and the staff make you feel at home. Loved the all day coffee!! The pool deck area was perfect for soaking up those Florida rays 😎 The pool is heated to 85°, and was clean. My one and only complaint were the shower heads. Trying to wash your hair, or even rinse soap off your body, is time consuming in a tiny tinkle of water. All they really need is a good soak in some Lime Away, or CLR.

My husband booked our stay here, and our room is nice and the hotel is very clean, however the young lady who checked us in today looked exhausted and sounded sick. She was lovely and made our stay easy! Everything went smoothly, I just felt horrible for her. She told me they were understaffed, but I am concerned as my husband has a very weak immune system. Please do better for your employees so you can do better for your customers!!!!

We had a very enjoyable stay here while we were in town for a wedding. The room was clean, had all we needed and they even gave us extra pillows when asked. The room had a bit of a musty smell but it WAS 95 degrees w/1000% humidity so that was probably why. ;-) The breakfast in the morning was great, the coffee tasty and the food was fresh. Very easy access to the freeway and Wendy's for a late night milkshake! :-)

Ideally located a couple of blocks from I4, in easy driving distance from the many distribution centers in and around Lakeland. You will be warmly welcomed by a friendly and efficient staff. A delicious hot breakfast is included in the room rate along with bottomless coffee. I almost forgot to mention the beds are comfortable, our room had a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker and a great shower, we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the hotel.

Hotel was clean, nothing major wrong, but some Marriott chains I've been to recently have a new TV and cable system in the rooms. The one at this property was completely out of commission, not working at all.

If you’re black do not stay here. The associates were very rude and unwilling to assist in anything. I made a mistake and left my debit card at home. I asked the associate could she charge the card that I have on file to get the room and she stated no. So I told her to cancel the room. They charge me $45 bucks cancellation fee. I go back and ask why did you charge my card to cancel but didn’t want to charge my card to stay? Another male associate comes out and says that’s our policy and to deal with it. I told them I would dispute the charge and the guy associate says if you do we will flag your account because we don’t deal with your kind anyways. I’m a titanium member and have stayed 87 nights at Mariott Hotels this year. I will not be spending another dime with this establishment and will take my money elsewhere. The associate was unwilling to assist me through the app chat and wanted me to come to the front desk. I mainly check in through the app unless they don’t have mobile keys. I check in through the app to avoid situations like this and to prevent from being discriminated against. The two employees that were at work on 7/28/22 around 6pm should be fired immediately!

We are ground zero for Hurricane Ian and had to get my Granddaughter and Daughter in Law out of the destruction for a few days. We search for hotels everywhere, but so many people have been displayed and needed them more than us. We finally got the last room at the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott in Plant City. The staff there was absolutely excellent and went above and beyond their normal duties to make our stay excellent. Especially, Sarah and Loretta, found us a cot bed for our granddaughter, checking in with us each time we passed them. Every member of their staff. Maintenance double-checking air conditioners and changing filters. Once a double-bed room was available they move us right away. We can not thank them enough.

Nice room. Not very big, but all we're doing is sleeping. Nice breakfast every day. Coffee available 24 hours a day. Clean rooms and hotel area. Nice pool, could use towels stored at the pool.

Stayed here for 2 days/nights. Clean room with fridge and microwave. Gym was small but good enough to break a sweat with dumbbells and treadmills. The overall premises of the area was a good area. I showed up early and the front desk lady let me into my room a little bit early. Would return.

Room was ok. Breakfast was not up to par...some grapes and very ripe bananas were the only fruit. Realize they were understaffed, and trying. I thought the room was too pricey as a special wedding rate.

Well when you talk about filthy you have to say that this hotel is as dirty as they come. People's hair in the sheets. Blankets gray and black with dirt. Literally a broken box spring under the mattress that kept me from getting any sleep all night. And a front desk that just kept saying well we're all booked up sorry there's nothing we can do about it. So since they have too many guests the best thing to do is to avoid them getting any guess so they have the time to fix this hotel. The place is a pit.

The room doesn’t get cold no matter how low the temp is, the tv’s are slow and the Netflix buffers, they didn’t have a twin sheet for the pull out bed also there is a stain on the blanket on the queen bed, oh also there was a baby roach crawling on my pillow right next to my head… I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Loved this hotel. Great location: had two gas stations, a Wendy's and Dunkin all next door. Easy access to I-4. Rooms very clean; staff awesome; had a pool!!

Stayed here for a wedding that was nearby. Friendly staff. Good location. Even though right off the expressway, was able to sleep soundly. Nice pool with lots of seating.

The staff was absolutely AWESOME!!! Every shift the customer service was top notch! I had a horrible experience between booking the hotel from a third party to my flight being cancelled until the next morning. When I arrived with my mother and daughter, the Assistant General Manager JAMES was so pleasant and took good care of us to the best of his ability. Then there was Loretta, Kyle, Nicole, James (overnight), another female employee (sorry I forgot your name), the housekeeping manager and her staff, and the maintenance staff that I saw in passing… ALL GREAT PEOPLE who provided EXCELLENT customer service!!! The hotel was clean, beds comfortable and amenities up to par! The complimentary breakfast was decent, but each time we went there were items that we ate. The complimentary coffee, tea and water station was always accessible! Great experience and will definitely recommend this hotel if your staying in the Tampa area! 7 mins from the Silvermoon Drive-In and mins drive from multiple stores, restaurants and lakes!

The room was small but nice. Everything seemed clean. The front desk staff were very friendly and apparently took notes about you from check in. So why 4 stars and not 5? The breakfast. Most of the items were dry. I know that hotels seem to give the impression that breakfast is something we don’t deserve but let’s do better. I should be able to chew the sausage. Label the foods you put out. We’re still not sure what that one choice was. Make sure the juice machine is working. Order more strawberry jelly. I know that you have plenty of apple and mixed jelly to get rid of. How about some real cream cheese? Would almond milk be too much to ask. If your response is that no one else does this, then you are in the wrong business. Nothing I just mentioned if cost prohibitive.

👍👍 I had never stayed at a TownePlace suites before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’m happy that I was pleasantly surprised.
