A little spendy and the corn was very over cooked and soft. But all in all, very tasty. I’m glad they wrapped the boxes in Saran as it would have been a heckuvamess had they not. We had the 4 crab cluster and added sausage to it. Shrimp were excellent!!! Potatoes were good too!!

Way too expensive for a dirty old food truck. There is No seafood available under $13 and they hide over half the prices on their menu. It's less than half price at $6 for a bag of 60 jumbo shrimp at Walmart, so no the seafood prices are not at all inline with true market prices.

Desperately needed some Barbecue in my life, so I read the reviews, and headed on over to Sims. Lucking out, I caught them in the middle of a leaner Brisket...which is my absolute favorite!! As it also turned out, their cut was so tender, that you did not even need utensils...at all! I dug in with washed hands, and plenty of napkins... Holy cow y'all, that Brisket was rubbed and smoked to perfection...dipping each bite into their mustard based Sauce (which packed a reeeally nice kick!!), was the best BBQ moment I've had in a while!! The Green Beans looked pretty basic, but they were nicely seasoned. The Cole Slaw was very good...as was the Mac and Cheese!! Got a hankering for some fantastic Barbecue with some of the most excellent, sweetest Service?? GO to Sims!!

My husband was very impressed with how the brisket was so moist/juicy (not easy to do with brisket). We had Sims catered for a graduation party and our guest raved about how delicious the meat was cooked. In comparison to other places the price was very reasonable. We ordered the smoked pulled pork and wings, the pork was juicy and mouthwatering. The wings were fantastic. The service was wonderful, very kind people. Will definitely be back!

Although a little bummed out from my experience from this place, I’m writing an unbiased review of their food. Was gonna have some crawfish for lunch but apparently they misinformed me about their current supply and didn’t have any crawfish at all (I messaged them and they responded saying they had some). So I settled for some beef brisket, turkey rice, & garlic butter corn instead. The beef brisket was a little on the dry side. The beef itself wasn’t as flavorful, but the seasoning that was sprinkled on top made it a little bit better. It was room temperature. The turkey rice was a little bland for my taste, but it’s something new to me and I suppose it has more flavor than plain white rice. The corn on the cob was a little over cooked and felt machine. The garlic butter sauce tasted pretty good though. I would give this place another chance for a second review if I could try the crawfish next time.

The real deal. Everything was absolutely delicious. Brisket, ribs, shrimp, corn, potatoes, sausage, and eggs. The whole family, down to the two year old, was in heaven. The bbq sauce was one of the best I've ever had, I really wish I had picked up a bottle. Not at all spicy as another reviewer said (my toddler can back me up there). Ordered online ahead of time. Glad I checked in early because they were out of grits and I picked a substitute (not sad, the other shrimp platter we did instead came with the best potatoes and eggs ever, that garlic sauce is gold). It does take a bit, but it's 100% worth it. It probably wouldn't be what it is faster. There's a picnic table, but we took our food to a park down the road. Definitely adding this to our regular spot coming in and out of Tampa when we come to town. And next time I'll think to take pics of the food, but honestly, if you like real BBQ, you don't need them.

Exceptional food and great portions! Ordered the shrimp and grits, brisket dinner w/ turkey rice and Mac/cheese, and a side crab cluster. It all tastes better than I imagined. Their food is D-licious! Super friendly and prices are reasonable. Well worth the stop. It’s a pop-up in the corner of the property of the subway and a POS motel…don’t be scared…the food is amazing. Really good "dirty" BBQ, burnt ends, grissle, and marlbling. The brisket was one of the better ones I have had, fair pricing, and friendly staff. The only critique I have is that some mambies couldn't handle some spice, so they had to get rid of the spicy sauces. Probably still want mom to cut their crust off too. Grow up Jacob, you're 31.

Great selection of dishes available but be ready to have a wait while your food is being prepared. I ordered the pulled pork dinner with corn and potato salad. The pulled pork was delicious! The corn was very garlicky - delish - so can imagine how good the shrimp would taste. The potato salad was very creamy (possibly with a hint of egg?), and a good sized portion. Hubby got the brisket with corn and green beans. The brisket tasted a tad salty for me (of course I tried his food, haha!) and a bit spongey on the texture. He enjoyed it but said he would get something else next time. He did highly rate the green beans though. We will certainly return to try out some more food when next in the area.

The Smoked Mullet was delicious! It has a hint of sweet apple or honey on it which gives the mullet an over the top taste. We will definitely be back to get some more and I recommend the baked beans as a side 😀

I drive past this lil place everyday on the way to work and think how good it smells. The husband and I tried the ribs and brisket dinners today... The meat is freaking delicious! I will definitely be trying the other items on the menu soon!

I work on a ambulance and my partner and I have tried many of the bbq places in Tampa. Sims Smoked BBQ in my opinion is the best when it comes to the ribs! The ribs are the only thing we get from this place, but I am sure everything else is also great. The ribs are ALWAYS thick, full of meat and NO sauce is needed. I have given up on the BBQ place on Busch BL, wont name the place.

Yoo I love the staff and the food here…🥰every time I come here they always make my food fresh and it’s always Delicious. I came today to get my usual 12 shrimp and potatoes , 🥚 & 🌽 . They where short on things but they made it happen and substitute the potatoes for extra 🌽 🥚 😍😍😍 so happy with the service. I recommend this place to anybody and anyone who want quality well season food to come through!!!Once you come you’ll never stop ❤️‍🔥💯

Best brisket I have had in a very long time. Also best corn on cob. If you’re driving down i4 looking for somewhere good to pull off and eat this is the place. 5 stars

This little hidden jewel has the best smoked meat that we’ve found. Full of flavor, juicy, perfectly smoked, & will literally fall off the bone. My husband & I are hard to please when it comes to BBQ, but this place is as close to home as we’ve found. Very generous with the portions.
