We loved the downtown experience and paths. There is so much to do and see, I would recommend taking an entire day to explore and check everything out. The fountain was really neat to see at night time and all the places we walked felt very safe and well maintained. Friendly for all ages and handicap accessible throughout. The city is very beautiful when it's all lit up at night! Many people were biking, roller skating, on scooters, and everyone was polite as they went by. There are many different places to park but they all have meters or if you choose a lot paying there. Highly recommend visiting.

Great park with spacious views and wide open sky. Right on the river walk and close to many attractions, plus they light up the fountains at night adding that extra touch.

This is my favorite park for my kids in town, plus three museums in one. Always something going on around the area, free three hour parking in the garage. Somewhere to bring your kids in the daytime and at night, you'll see people on dates or concluding one; maybe the faint smell of herbs in the air.

I just worked the Oktoberfest event here. The park is nice, right by the water, great view of the University of Tampa and also has a fun water fountain for kids to play in. It’s also nestled up next to Glazier Museum. The employees at the park were amazing. Melvin, Rod, JT, Rob, Don and everyone were so helpful with the event.

We walked 2 and a half miles to this place, so it was nice to feel the water they have for the kids to run through and to sit down and watch the boats in the river go by and the water taxi. But I must share that the little building by the mist area and bathrooms sold the best pineapple mango creamy Popsicles. They were so tasty and refreshing. I could have eaten another... They tasted like they were just made.

This park is lovely and always has fun things going on. It’s a great spot for photoshoots as it offers unique backgrounds and lighting in certain spots (light reflecting off of walls and specific windows that can add edge light to give a studio lighting effect just by finding the right spot).

A beautiful sight you have to see! This park is a sight to see at any time of the year, but it truly shines in winter as the community comes together to celebrate the holidays. Bring your walking shoes and be prepared to see beautiful sights! I personally enjoy it at night, but it’s great during the day too. There are many benches and a lot of walking space for families and large groups! Wander over here and create new experiences!

Great place to visit at night for beautiful view of river and Christmas lights. And get ahead of your New Year resolution- River walk is easy 2 miles stroll to Wharf and 2 miles back, 8,000 steps:) to add to your goal:).

Visited this park close to Christmas and it was beautiful. Can’t go wrong bringing your family here. So close to the Tampa Museum of Art and parking is reasonable

Fantastic place to hang out for a while at one end of the Riverwalk. It is pet and people friendly. The Christmas light show is amazing! I was mesmerized watching the dancing lights. Also, it’s so cool to see an ice skating rink in Tampa…. Of all places. Definitely worth a visit.

This park is my favorite place to go to just be. Being near the water is very healing for me. The park itself is gorgeous, waterfront, is part of the riverwalk, has tons of amenities and is in the heart of downtown Tampa. It’s also very kid friendly and includes THREE world class museums! I love this park and I’m so grateful they built it.

I really enjoy this park. I walk here on my lunch breaks while at work it along the river walk, hosts events throughout the year, a playground is adjacent. While a dog park is a short distance to the North. Plenty of eating options nearby with the Irish pub to the south and the museum cafe to the north. The children’s museum and the playful water fountains are nearby as well. Plenty of parking garages within walking distance.

Very nice park especially at Christmas. Ice skating rink was well done with some cute shops and wonderful display of lights. We had a Diner en Blanc event there and the venue was excellent. Access to restrooms was a bit dicey, but in general this was a great urban Park location. Reasonable parking nearby as well even with a Bucs home game as well as a concert very close by.

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park is an absolute gem in the heart of downtown Tampa. This park is beautifully designed and offers breathtaking views of the Hillsborough River and the Tampa skyline. The park is always clean, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing day out with friends and family. There are plenty of activities to enjoy at Curtis Hixon Park. The large green space is perfect for picnics, playing catch or Frisbee, and just lounging in the sun. The playground is great for kids and features modern equipment and a splash pad to cool off on hot summer days. The Riverwalk trail that runs through the park is perfect for a leisurely stroll or bike ride along the river. One of the highlights of the park is the iconic and massive water feature that is a must-see for visitors. The fountain lights up at night, creating a stunning display that is truly a sight to behold. The park also has a concert pavilion that hosts a variety of events and festivals throughout the year, making it a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.

Great Park! They have lots of fun events throughout the year. Yesterday my wife and I were here for the riverfest and it was a great time. Nice playground for the kids to play at a big open field for whatever your heart desires, the river walk is amazing. And there are some water fountains too that the kids can run through. Little bit of everything!

Went to the Gasparilla Parade and watched it right by the park. Afterward there was a live concert at the park which is also right by the waterfront. It's very ample and the ground by the stage is built like an amphitheater so it's a downward hill, that gives you a great view regardless of how far out close you're standing. There's also a museum on the same grounds. There's tons of hotels and restaurants across the street from the park as well but if not there were food trucks on site. Overall it was an awesome experience and a beautiful place.

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park transforms into a magical winter wonderland during the holiday season. The park is adorned with festive decorations that create a cheerful and inviting atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy ice skating on a large outdoor rink, take a ride on the Curtis Hixon Park Choo Choo, and find unique gifts at The Shops featuring local businesses. With plenty of food and drink options, as well as special events like outdoor holiday movies, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park is a must-visit destination for creating memorable holiday experiences

We loved visiting during Bark in the Park! It's a very dog friendly location in a nice area. There's plenty of room to roam around and it has great city views. We'll definitely be back when we visit the city.

Such a great place to take your family all year long. When we visited, there was a Christmas village along with an ice rink for people to ice skate—with affordable prices. For parents, there’s a cool playground that your kids can drain their energy. Its only downside is the lack of maintenance, since the playground had some of its parts broken.

Uno de los mejores sitios donde ir a pasear en familia y disfrutar de las bellezas de la ciudad

  • 5/5 Jasmine R. 1 year ago on Google
Went during the winter village. Very pretty. They had a boat parade, ice skating, little shops, food etc. Some things are a little pricey but there is no entry fee. It is also pet friendly but it does get very busy so it does make doing some of the stuff a little hard. Such as ice skating you need reservations but they fill up very fast so I suggest book it early.

Nice park, plenty of open areas to relax and lots of shade in the late afternoon.

The Tampa Bay Seafood and Music Festival is April 23-24 at park. I believe entry fee is $10 Saturday and $5 Sunday. Music is very good a few vendors (20 or so) jewelry, signs, hot sauce, bonsai etc. A myriad of seafood vendors with high prices. My daughter found the Greek vendor who at least loaded up her plate for the $25 fee. You must by tickets to pay for food. Why? And they charge a fee of $2 to use credit card. If you go to the bar use tickets, they add tax if you use CC.

Great splash pad! Completely free. I brought my kids and their stroller and snacks, it's a huge place. Just keep in mind it gets a little crowded so your going to want to keep an eye on your kids bcuz they can easily blend with the others if you aren't careful. All in all it was fantastic!!!

This is a beautiful riverside park that comes alive in the evening with spectacular lighted trees and interactive water features. This park walkway is nice and wide and has several places to sit and take in the scenery on the land and in the water. There are public restrooms as well as some restaurants along the way if you want a snack or drink.

We went to Gasperilla February 2022. It was amazing. There was a splash fountain for kids to play in, all kinds of vendors and the best part was the silent disco. Such an amazing experience. I have a child that doesn't like loud sounds and I often find myself overwhelmed with lots of noise in large crowds. The headphones for the silent disco worked through the entire area. My 4.5 year old loved the head phone idea and even got on the dance floor. She took them off for a bit and then right back on. I look forward to other events like this.

A beautiful park on the Hillsborough river with the Tampa skyline on one side of the park & the University of Tampa with its unique architecture across the river. The Tampa Art Museum can be seen on the North side of the park. Great area to visit & chill outdoors!

It was nice to see family's getting out. Wished I saw more wearing masks in such close proximity. A little crazy with the bikes, skateboarders and motorized bikes on the Riverwalk. No one got hurt! That's the good thing. Water Taxies were going as well at 50% capacity. Lots of lights and a movie was being played on the lawn in front of the Art museum ("It's a Wonderful Life" in orig BW).

Very disappointed. I understand the covid pandemic limited the amount of people for the NFL Experience, but the events at curtis hixon park were simply pathetic. And it was unlimited for the amount of people expected. Shameful.

This park always has something great going on! We were biking on the Riverwalk and stopped at a restaurant near the park to have a drink and watch the boats on the river. They had a Christmas-themed event going on and it was beautiful, as usual. This park never disappoints!

  • 3/5 Gary R. 3 years ago on Google
Was ok until my girlfriend fell as she tripped on broken sidewalk along river...so we didn't get to explore much! Not much of a warning when we're visiting for first time....lucky she didn't break her 77 year old hip! Sore, scrapped up too....good Samaritans offered they're assistance right away! Disappointed in city's efforts to warn a very heavily traveled pedestrian path!!

Nice park and water side picnic area in the downtown area of Tampa. When I visited, they had an ice skating ⛸️ ring available surrounded by many vendors selling different items. Nice place to take in the sunset too. I Will revisit next time in town.
