The park was great. Unfortunately I have to take 2 stars because many rides were closed. We only have the opportunity to ride about 3 of the rides. All individual rides were closed and the wave pool was only working as a normal pool. The food pass is worth it but the food options are very limited compare to bush gardens. The staff was super nice and friendly. We rented a cabana and had a chest with a lock. Very convenient

Disappointing. More crowded and less clean than I expected. The wait for food was 38 minutes for barbecue and half of the options were sold out at 2pm. We paid nearly $500 for a family of five only to wait in line for nearly an hour for each slide. Also every pool was packed and it seemed like half the park was under construction. It was hard to see the value in the price paid for admission. I was also surprised by the clientele--a rather uncaring group--trash left all over the parking lot after cars exited for the day. 1 star for value, but overall 2 stars because the staff were very friendly.

I was excited to visit but my excitement bubble was quickly deflated. Pros: smaller water park (in comparison to other Sea World Parks), park maps posted in many places, there's a river running through the beginning of the park, 2 new rides. Cons: the place is dirty (the fountains are gross with mildew and dirty, tables and seating areas are dirty, common areas are sticky and you see the dirt), there are bees everywhere (following the sticky unsanitized areas) (also, in allergic to bees so that was a bummer), we went on a weekday and only 4 rides were operational. We were told that not enough customers showed up so they were closing some of the rides (people were upset because the people who showed up wanted to ride them). The food staff were not friendly and took a while with taking the order. Overall, I was very disappointed. We went 9:45am and we were out the park by noon.

This place is amazing. You can spend the whole day on the park. I recommend renting a cabin, it comes with a lock 🔐 big enough for a backpack. The food and drinks are expensive $13 for a sandwich for example

Very nice place and a lot of water activities and slides! Good for all age groups! If you have annual membership then you can have multiple visits and sometime you can get complimentary tickets.

A fun place for the entire family right here in Tampa. The park is clean and well kept. The admission prices are reasonable and fair by comparison to others. I will say I thought the food was way over priced a cheeseburger was $18.99. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great either. Overall, we had a great time. The weather was nice. The staff is helpful and friendly.

I recently had the most incredible adventure at the Island Water Park in Tampa, Florida! This place is an absolute gem for anyone seeking a day filled with fun, excitement, and thrills. From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the cleanliness and organization of the park. The staff here is not only friendly but also incredibly attentive to safety, which is so important, especially when you're spending the day in the water. The variety of water attractions is mind-blowing. Whether you're into heart-pounding water slides, lazy river floats, or relaxing in a wave pool, Island Water Park has it all. The slides cater to all levels of daredevils, and even I, not usually the bravest, found myself conquering some of the more thrilling ones. The smiles on everyone's faces as they zoomed down the slides were priceless. What I appreciated most was the lush, tropical atmosphere. It truly felt like an island paradise. The landscaping is beautifully done, providing plenty of shady spots for those who want to take a break from the sun. The food options were diverse, and I couldn't get enough of the delicious snacks and refreshments available. I can't wait to return to the Island Water Park in Tampa for another unforgettable adventure. Whether you're a family looking for a day of bonding or an adrenaline junkie seeking a rush, this water park has something for everyone. It's a must-visit when you're in the Tampa area!

I have been going to Adventure Island for over 20 years. Even though I miss several attractions that have been removed, I am always impressed by the new ones. Fortunately, we have annual passes which offer free parking and discounted food. Otherwise, it is very expensive. The park is always clean and the employees are helpful and friendly.

Annual passes are a must. Go early to beat the crowd. Food is good (cant bring outside food and drinks). Can spend hours here. Great staff, mostly friendly. Just wish that the lazy river was a tad bit cleaner although I understand there are way too many plants surrounding it so its almost impossible.

Travelled to the area for a vacation, and went here and Busch Gardens. It was tons of fun, even with some of the slides being closed down. Get the all day dining pass! The food otherwise is quite expensive, but in our experience it was pretty quick getting through the lines.

Adventure Island was an excellent experience for my family. This was our second time visiting. The food was delicious it’s about $15-18 a meal & $5 a drink. The staff was helpful & the kids enjoyed all the Attractions.

We had a ton of fun here! There are a lot of rides. The lines were longer than we expected for a Thursday, but we didn’t wait longer than 45 minutes for any of them. The wait to get inside the parking lot took forever though! The employees all seemed nice. One thing that could definitely be improved is their bathrooms…🥴 Just hold it if you can. 😅

We had a mediocre time at this water park. The balance of wait times can be tough to reconcile sometimes. Some rides had very little wait times, and many had very, very long wait times. There were few in that sweet spot. It just felt unbalanced. The slides themselves are fine. They're nice for a bit, but you get the gist very quickly, and the wait times can be tough to stomach for how short the experience is. However, I don't really think the Quick Queue pass would help a lot here. Maybe on one or two of the big rides, but you just integrate into the line, so you cannot be sure the wait time would be any better. I could maybe recommend this place for families, and especially for your younger kids. They'll get a total kick out of it as there are good children water features and areas to enjoy without a line. Quick note: the parking passes differ between parks. If you buy ahead, make sure you get that squared away. Our most notable experience was this: There was one time in a large line for a ride where they stopped sending people up and did not mention why. We waited an extra 15 minutes with no explanation, but when someone tried to go up, an employee quickly appeared and chastised them. This would have been fine if we knew what the hold-up was. They all just stood around looking at us in line. It was strange. We ended up leaving the line with several other people and did not come back to that attraction. The food is also not good. We had the all day dining pass, but could not get good value from it here. We waited forever for the food, and when you wait 30+ minutes for chicken tenders and fries, you know you're in a bad spot. We won't be back.

Went recently... A big group from work decided to go make a day of it and we were not disappointed. The slides, pools, restaurants, cocktails, were all amazing. Our favorite, hands down, was the lazy river. Definitely will be back and would recommend to everyone. Especially good if you're a Florida resident... they have great pass prices that include free parking, discounts and more.

This was my family and I first time visiting this park, (7/20/22) we had sooo much fun. Some of the lines to the slides was very long so we didn’t even bother those. Food, drinks was wayyy overpriced I paid 11 dollars for two bottled sodas, 24 dollars for each beach towel I needed, 15 dollars for a small frozen icee from the tiki bar, 30 dollars plus tax for 3 small dippin dots, and don’t get me started on the food. Overall we did enjoy the park and we can’t wait to go again. Just overpriced 🙃

We spent an entire day here! 1) we paid for VIP parking in advance. I do not recommend this unless you plan on getting there late. We got there 30 minutes after it opened and there were plenty of regular parking. But we had already paid for it so oh well 2) if it’s a hot day I definitely recommend renting a cabana! We rented the Riverside Cabana and it comes with a private area, a fridge with 8 complimentary waters (so clutch), a locker, and a fan. Having a shaded and secure area to come back to throughout the day was worth it’s weight in gold. AND what they don’t advertise online is in your cabana there is a QR code where you can do mobile food or drink ordering and have it brought to you for no extra charge. The menu is more limited but this was worth it! 3) we did not purchase any of the fast passes but I kind of wished we had. We didn’t get to go on all the rides because of how long the waits were combined with taking breaks to eat. So I wish we had done that at least. We had a blast but the kids had the most fun. Make sure you bring plenty of sunscreen and towels! Plan for an entire day. The waits got better at the end of the day because people left early. The last hour of the park was the best!

My all time favorite water park to visit is Adventure Island Tampa Florida. I have such an amazing time here. All the slides are worth the wait. The bayou beach club/lazy river is so relaxing and fun to just float through. My favorite slide is the Solar Vortex. The food is also great here. I recommend the pizza and fries. I also had the pleasure of working here years ago and it definitely was the greatest job I ever had. WARNING: The floor can get really hot. Have fun!!

This park is nice when in the water. If you are out of the water it’s infested with bees and they sting. I have rented multiple loungers and cabanas and they are in there as well. It’s ridiculous and makes the entire trip very exhausting with the fear chasing and kids screaming over bees. Not to mention I sprayed my entire lounger with insect repellent

We always have a great time here but it definitely needs a face lift. Lots of dirt and grime on the walls of the lazy river and certain areas look old and run down. The food at Adventure Island isn't great but it is better than Busch Gardens in comparison. Some things are still closed due to Covid but it seems unnecessary. The rides are pretty fun. There are two kiddie areas for the little ones. Overall while it's a small park, it's a fun park.

Clean and easy to navigate the park. The hours are only on the weekends because of the seasonal time. Plenty of different levels of fun for the younger kids to the elders. Would definitely recommend spending time on the lazy river! Food was reasonably priced and good.

So much fun! Friendly staff. Love being able to do everything digital on my phone. Digital passes make entry fast and google wallet works everywhere you go. Thunder storms caused slides to be closed a few times, but that's to be expected in the Florida Summer. They are good at keeping everyone safe. Slides were great! We especially liked Colossal Curl and Solar Vortex.

It's a very fun park to cool off on a typical hot day in Florida. I had a great time on the slides and in the wave pool. I bought an annual pass. Now I can go as often as possible. Love it, recommend paying extra and getting a quick-cue, so you can skip the sometimes very long lines. If you're a Florida resident, you can pay monthly for a great annual pass. They have different levels, bronze, gold, and platinum. Bigger perks for each. I got platinum like $400, but I only have to pay monthly around $40. If you go at least 1 time a month, It will save a ton of $. And platinum gets you into Busch gardens next door, and Sea-world in Orlando, 11 of their franchised parks. I can do roller coasters in the early day, then go to the water park and cool off. You also get up to 6 free passes to bring friends and family 2 at a time every 4 mths. With my annual free VIP parking, the parking is expensive. Check it out, I will be going every chance I can now. Have fun. Enjoy the sun here in Florida.

We are usually Busch Gardens fanatics but it was hot so we tried Adventure Island. Went early on a Monday. No line. Easy parking. Quick check in. Got right to our loungers which were in a nice spot. Plenty of free chairs and shady spots available at that time too. Lines for slides were short until early afternoon. Only complaint was that we paid 60 dollars for 2 loungers, umbrella and all day locker and on this particular day they weren't sold out so random people used the extras for free. No one really checks if you have any arm band or not although at the Duvall cabanas the employee there, Ricardo, was on point. When guests arrived he escorted them to their assigned spot, explained the food ordering process and really went above with his customer service and that was just in the 5 minutes I was standing there waiting for my son to come back. Great employee and an overall nice, family day.

Pros: Beautiful park. Plenty of parking near entrance. Lots of slides in various degrees of intensity. Lazy river is perfect. Little kids area is cute. $19.99+tax Souvenir cup comes with free refills. Weekdays have been great. Cons: Parking is $30. Food and drinks are overpriced & not great. No self serve drinks for souvenir cups. Not enough loungers are available. Lockers are too small & expensive. Long, slow lines. Don't go on a weekend or holiday. Fun card does not include parking or locker.

It was fun! Lot of rides, rest areas, and shade. The All Day Dining pass doesn’t worth it, you can get food only at 2 restaurantes, and it’s not good. From the presentation to the quality, it’s bad. Fried chicken, fries, cake, pork. Next time I’d just pay for food in another restaurant there. But overall, the experience was fun.

April '22 visit Not too crowded at our visit, and lines were reasonable. No outside food or beverages allowed in. Water bottle ok. Exit to parking lot and re-entry permitted with chit Parking in general lot $30 unless silver or better pass holder then parking is free. Small locker w keypad entry was $20 for the day.

There needs to be maps at this park because you can’t have your cell phone in the water with a swim suit on. My first time here was very confusing. Overall the amenities were decently clean and there was plenty to do. Moes BBQ shack seemed to be the best food in the park. 2 people for about $60

I was here for my first time. I purchased Solar lounge chairs included free locker, two chairs and free food delivery. However, the chairs are too old compared to the new ones near the pools with umbrellas. Lockers were broken. I entered the code for food delivery, code was unexceptionable. The VIP parking is just a block extra from the regular parking. Don’t waste your money on them. Don’t recommend to anyone!

This park is located just in front of busch gardens, it has plenty of parking spaces and also handicap parking, the entrance is not far away from the parking area, we went during Easter weekend and there was no line to get in, they offer lockers right at the entrance but there is additional ones around the park, $20 for the small one and $25 for the ones that fits 2 backpacks medium size. They have little shops around the park as well as restaurants and little kiosks where they have turkey legs, sodas, popcorn etc, just be ready to wait in line it took us almost 10 minutes to get a refill of slushies and when it was finally our turn they inform us they didn't have any and send us to another kiosk. We also made a line to get the kids dipping dots since it was a hot day just to be informed they run out of most flavors and only have 2 left at around 1pm on a Saturday... this park have some pools, wave system was not working, they also have a lazy river, the side with the little cascade was closed as well, lines for the rides were as expected, and personally think the one for the Solar Vortex was worth it, would only go back to this park because of that ride.

It was a fun way to spend the day. The lines were a bit long to do too ma y of the slides, but there were a few like the drop slides that went pretty quick. Spent most of our time chilling in their version of lazy river though. Overall a good place to go on a hotter day but you still want to go out. However came across a major safety hazard in one of the lines with exposed screws that could easily slice a hand, so be careful to watch your kids hanging off the beams/railings in line.

I was very impressed with our visit. It’s Memorial weekend and we were expecting things to be chaos and it was not. We had an amazing time. Some ride times were very long but we expected that. Lots of staff and many options for food and drinks. Excited to bring the kids crack again

I have to say... The slide upgrades are nice. Now get the food stand, ice machines, and a better way for your Cafe to speed up food deliver time. 45min for 3 orders of chk fingers. 👎🏻 and whats this 2.5%surcharge for your parks increases in cost. I think they are stealing from us with 2.5% + the already 20$ cheeseburger and fries and 2 ketchup packets.
