Congo River Rapids

Tourist attraction Amusement park ride

👍👍 Great experience, line wasn't that bad and moved really fast, prepare to get wet and have lots of fun. While we were about to start going on the ride there were some technical problems but it didn't take more than five minutes to get it fixed. If I'm not mistaken the minimum height is 42" to be abl... People often mention ride, soaked, line, water, time, Great, family, short, long, Gardens,

My family loves this ride It's a lot of fun and even my shortest child was able to go on this ride. There's a good chance you'll get wet or soaped on this ride. There is a station that you could pay to have it dry you off a bit at the end of this ride. This right is a bit bumpy but it's worth it if you love the water.

So let's start off with, thank God we had quick queue, if we would've waited more than five minutes for this ride I would've been mad. This ride last maybe twenty seconds (exaggeration) swear it seemed like it. There is no hills/drops so if you sit in the right spot, like I did, you won't even get a drip of water. I was previously soaked from the Stanley Falls (canoe ride) and thought might as well get on the Congo River. We were definitely disappointed, no water and no fall, just a short ride. The people that were on with us we all kept saying is that it, are you sure, is it done. I honestly felt bad for those that were waiting in that long line for not the ride I we were expecting.

Nice ride in Bush Gardens. Due to the fact that it was not high season we rode quite a few times. It is an entertaining ride and you can get quite wet, which is nice this time of year. You can ride it as Family. Highly recommended.

Congo River rapid is a great ride to cool off or play a game of chance. We randomly select our seats and see who will be soaked the most! The staff is usually very friendly and courteous whether waiting in the line or taking advantage of the speed pass ( which I recommend on the weekend)

Classic water ride with plenty of emphasis on water. Worth a splash or two.

We love this ride. There's usually 3 of us that go together and we usually get to talking to others in line. This past time we chatted with a couple and there 2 boys, so when we got to our turn, they rode with us. I'm a fun 75 and so is my friend, we joked with the kids about who would get wet. I think we all did in the end. We recommended Cirque Electric and the Ice show. We saw them later at the ice show and they Thanked us for our recommendations. It's fun being friendly with other guest and then seeing them later and talking and waving like we are old friends. We do it all the time. After All, This is Our Florida. Thanks Busch Gardens !!!!

Great for a refreshing break in the heat wait was only 25 min today is the least amount of people here at Bush gardens I have seen in years. With plenty of shaded spots and good breeze

Always a blast! Haha, pun intended. I don't have to pay anything to have a fantastic time watching my guy have his fun. He loves this attraction!

It's always fun, prepare to be soaked. Some seats get more wet then others. Kids had a blast though. I think there is 8 seats in each raft so a dead amount of people per group

We had to wait for about 2 hours in line because of Rain forecast, it was an extremely hot day and there was lack of ventilación. Once finally there, the experience itself is amazing! A tad short tho, expect getting soaking wet, that was actually kind of refreshing given the heat.

Great experience, and a bit unexpected. Which make this ride very fun.

This ride is fun for all ages. It is pretty smooth and easy to get on. You will get wet maybe even soaked.

This ride ended up being our son's favorite. Water rides are always the best! However I do wish they had both lines open to enter the ride it would have went a lot faster, however I wish the ride was longer but all in all it was a pretty good experience

Be prepared to pay 30 for parking, wish i knew, and 89 a person, our 3 hrs there wpuld have cost us 300, which in some theme parks is a year long pass. Unless you got about 500 dollars this place is not for you, i didnt get a refund for my parking after finding out the ticket price smh.

So amazing my son was so excited he could ride a BiG KiD ride 😁..Wait time was short and he enjoyed the whole experience..

Great raft ride. Many raft rides allow you to manuever your body to avoid getting wet unless your unlucky. This ride only allows 1/4th of the riders to avoid getting wet due to the design. Ride is fun and perfect for a hot humid day. Wait times are very long 60+ mins. During peak hours even on a Monday.

So much fun. Prices are pretty high though which I guess is expected in amusement parks.

  • 5/5 Terry B. 10 months ago on Google
One of the best rides there and your getting soaked, but the best part is even with strangers in the boat everyone has a great time and that's what matters!

  • 3/5 Stephen L. 10 months ago on Google
A good ride, marked down for 60 minutes of waiting for 3 minutes of ride, there was a huge queue and they only had one of the two channels open. Do it if you can be bothered to wait that long.

Fun but everyone gets wet, not a dry seat on this ride. Also, the people on the bridge above the initial turn can activate water sprayers to help riders get wet (although, there's a card swipe to pay for this). When you exit the ride there's two dryers you can stand in to mitigate the wetness but there's an additional cost for it 🥴.

The lines weren't long and the ride was mild enough for me

Not the best raft ride. Pretty short and not much theming. Very slow to dispatch (load/unload, get going). You definitely get wet though, so it does its job.

Great ride for the entire family. Height restrictions apply. Great for my Nanny who has had both knees replaced.

This is a great ride to go on mid-day when it's warm out. I have never experienced a long wait for this ride. The line moves very fast so you can probably ignore what it says for the wait time.

Great ride if you're wanting to get soaked and cool off. If you don't want soaked don't ride or wear a poncho lol

Very fun ride through the river, especially when you are a group of friends coming to enjoy & get soaked!

It was so fun!!! My daughter and I had the best time ever. There is seating for 12 people on each boat.

It was a lot of fun! It is a gamble every time you ride... Am I going to get soaking wet or just a little wet?

This by far was one of the best water rides I have been on in a while. It was a little bit short though but that was my only complaint. The line was also really short and was able to get on the line in like 15 minutes which was really nice.

I've been on a more fun ride that is similar to this, but this one was still fun. It did seem a bit short though too. Would recommend you check out Rattlesnake Rapids, at Lagoon, in Utah & compare the two, if you ever get a chance.

Me and my family did not injoy get on the ride the young lady was Disrespectful. To me and my family and everyone Else that was on the boat? Love the ride when it left dark.

It for sure is a popular ride at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Park at a not-too-cold day. Staff are very helpful. Ride is thrilling and fun. Uncertainty is part of life just like the water splash at Congo River Rapids. You never know who in the boat will get water splashed on, but someone will be splashed on for sure. You can prepare a rain coat, or a water resistant jacket, or you can just enjoy the water. Also fun for kids.

Busch Gardens........what can I say......🤔 Welp, I'm not one to expect something for free because free costs too much for me but no for real the prices are outrageous. Gosh, bum, from $30 to park even for the handicapped, a 16 oz coke is $5.99, water 2/$8.50, Powerade $6,49, foot-long hot dog 15.99 not to mention $6.00 to use a stand-up clothes dryer after riding Congo River. Oh yeah, the safari tour is $50 on top of your ticket price. I understand everything is increasing in price but dang.🤷🏽‍♀️ They are getting it with our clothes on.🤦🏽‍♀️ You'll get that tomorrow. 😁 I hope the employees are compensated fairly. My suggestion would be that they have a rollback week or weekend. Cut the prices by 20%. Busch Gardens has always been fun and exciting along with some good eats and treats but now you have to take out a payday loan just to go. Geesh!!!

Loved it! At first I was scared because I don't even know how to swim and thought I'd drown if I fell in but no chance of that because you can strap yourself in! Do get ready to get wet though 😉

We got into line and were told the ride was down with no ETA. We got out of line and watched a few empty boats go by. Then one full of riders. So, we got back into line after being told the ride was still down. We stayed in line and watched countless riders turned away because the ride was down although riders were still being loaded into boats. It was a long wait but it was worth it! Just got wet enough to cool down but not soaked and uncomfortable.

Love this ride. You never know if you're going to get soaked, wet or slightly damp.

We got soaked and it was so much fun! There isn't anywhere to store anything on the ride so definitely wear flip flops or bring an extra pair of shoes! It's so fun that it's worth being soaked for an hour or so after!
