Excellent clean family location. They have a kid's water area for those warm days, and the water view was fantastic. Free parking next to the park but can be scarce when busy. Very well-kept and has plenty of shade and food/ drink options in the area. I would bring my grandkids or go for a stroll here again in a heartbeat.

Water Works Park in Tampa Bay, Florida is a beautiful destination for locals and tourists alike. This 5.7-acre park is situated along the Hillsborough River and offers stunning views of the city skyline. The park is known for its interactive splash pad, where children and adults can cool off during the hot summer months. It also has a large playground, picnic areas, and a dog park, making it a perfect spot for families to spend the day. The park also hosts various events and concerts throughout the year, making it a hub for community gatherings. Additionally, the park has a rich history, as it was once home to the city's first water pumping station. Water Works Park truly offers something for everyone and is a must-visit when in Tampa Bay.

Did the river train the park is a great place with food, seats, dog park. Wide path along the river, places to play and relax

Water Works is an excellent way to kill a few hours. The kids water park is remarkable. The dog park is small but very well kept with a nice gazebo. The Riverwalk is right there--great for walking or spotting wildlife. Ulele restaurant and Armature Works are also attached with parks, open spaces, and beautiful walkways between.

This place is just fantastic, my kids aged 9 and 6 have a blast here and lots of friendly kids are usually there with them. Seems like there's plenty of shaded spots to sit, and there is a nice view of the Ulele spring and Hillsborough River. Easy access to the Riverwalk as well, an awesome free thing to do with your kids.

Great park to take the kids to get away from the heat. It's another place to hit up if you don't feel like packing up and going to the beach. Plenty of water splashing/dumping/spraying for the kids to enjoy. There's a restroom/changing area to one side and a "dry" playground on the other side, which has a jungle gym and other types to play on.

Great place for kids, adults and dogs. Playground for kids and they walk and run through various waters, a large open area to run , jog or walk your dogs, and clean, well kept bathrooms. There are eateries nearby and the whole place is edged by the beautiful river. There are tile signs that explain the life forces under water. Beautiful, welcoming area.

Went to this park today to check it out and I was not disappointed. They have great walking paths with distance markers in the ground to let you know how far you've walked. There is a water play area for kids ages 2 to 12. Plenty of shaded areas to sit & look out at the Hillsborough river & bay area. There is a conservation area where it's fed by natural springs and there are fish everywhere. I seen huge tilapia, Mayan cichlids, and a bunch of other fish. A beautiful place. I will add photos to this review on my next visit. Go check this place out.

Sunday was lovely so we decided to check out the Tampa Arts & Crafts fair held here. They had a great turn out, food trucks, live music and more. My only criticism is that the space is very small so only a limited amount of vendors could participate. But it was fun and next door to Armature Works, which is alway a good weekend place to spend some time!

Great spot on the river to let your kid play. Has both a dry and wet area and well secured. Also has plenty of restrooms available. The proximity to ulele and other food options is also very convenient!

It’s a really nice park right on the water plenty of space to sit down and just enjoy things around you. Also, there is a jogging tract and a really nice restaurant.

Great playground for both littles and bigger kids. Play equipment and splash pad are both fenced in, with bathrooms and a small picnic area all within fenced area (additional picnic area and bathrooms outside of fence). Be warned that the splash pad is right next to the play area, so plan on kids being dressed to get wet! Beautiful location right next to the river walk and Ulele springs.

A wonderful stop on your walk down the riverwalk, the “water park” is usually full of families trying to coll down in the summer heat. They regularly host markets and other events that are typically open to the public. Super central location to shopping and dining.

Splash park is fun for smaller kids. Difficult to find parking nearby. Restrooms are ok for a public park, but didn't really have a changing area for the kids. Picnic shelters are shady and accommodating. Keep in mind that they may be reserved though. Playground is suitable for kids younger than about 5. Too small for older kids. We had fun and will be back.

Tbh it’s a great park. But I was here with my service dog. Completely fine. Then one of the rec guys told me I’m not allowed to bring my service dog in? I will be following up to see if he is incorrect or if this is true. Or if he was mistaken. Mistakes do happen

Splash pad and playground were nice. There were indoor public bathrooms as well. However, being nearly downtown Tampa, it's all paid parking. I had also seen somewhere that there are swings, which there are not. The drinking fountains were also out of order. A concession stand or vending machine would be nice.

I was in town visiting my Mom and decided to take my youngest Son to the park at night. There were a good number of children out that night having a blast. Would definitely go again when I'm in town. Pack water and food because the prices of the food and drinks are PRICEY.

In the midst of all the action, this is a great spot for youngsters. When we arrived in the cold weather, the water was turned off. It's good to have a soft rubber playground. Childproof gate with a lock.

Super fun place when the have evens going on. However the mat in the playground next to the water space is not Florida friendly at all. My Nephew placed his hands on there and cried immediately because it was so hot! The water feature is good for older children, the bucket dump it a little aggressive for children under 4. Dog park isn’t super big but we’ll kept

Small little park for kids. Has both water activity and dry activity. Plentiful amount of washrooms. Area is clean. Recommended ages 1-12. Fenced in area. Adult siting areas available in shade.

Very nice and would be alot of fun playing in the water area if it was warmer. That HUGE BUCKET of water falling on you would be a blast. The play set for the kids is great, my grand kids loved it!

Best place for fun with children. Not great to have a birthday party underneath by water/splash area because of space. Only 2 or 3 tables to sit at usually taken by other families so be comfortable sharing a table.

Great for the little ones in the summertime. Great place to cool off, splash pad, playground and restrooms.

  • 5/5 Kara S. 2 years ago on Google
This park was awesome only sad thing is that I couldn’t enjoy/play too. The age limit for the play area is for kids from 2-12 which is understandable. With me being a big kid at heart makes it hard to not want to play too!

I personally couldn't stay at the park because of my challenges walking, I wish I could have, the park is beautiful and if you're fit enough to walk, great!! I wanted to take my daughter to the splash pad , but from what I was told it was quite far from where we were parked. The park is green, and stores around where you can eat, and a taxi boat and electric scooters, and kayaking, and can rent bikes too.

My kids and many more love this park on a hot day. It’s got a clever set up of a giant bucket that fills with water and then dumps the water out onto the children as they run under it. Been going here for a few years now. The park is groomed and kept clean as well. Lovely place by the water and also by a food court if you’re hungry with the kiddos you can have lunch there as well.

My favorite place to bring my 5 year old. She loves climbing and getting to play in the water. Plus there are places to eat. This place has a beautiful view of Hillsborough river.

Someone must've had a romantic experience here before we arrived lol. It's a great place to hang out for a walk, and there were seemingly interesting coffee shops around. Would recommend this for a summer night because when we were there it was very cold in the winter.

One of my favorite restaurants in the area. Food was delicious and inside the restaurant you're surrounded by art. Which is quite interesting and as well as the outside of the restaurant you'll find some more art. Very neat statues and a beautiful pond where you can enjoy or lunch or dinner with friends and family.

Great park. Very relaxing. Visited here for the market and checked out all the vendors as well as the waterpark and playground. Was able to find close street parking which was a plus! Plenty of seating around the park and walk ways. There are also picnic pavilions with tables located throughout the park. Kids loved watching the boats by the river.

This water park is one of Tampas hidden gems its an excellent spot to bring the kiddos to cool off in the hot summer months. All of the kids seemed to have been having a blast and it is a very clean pleasing atmosphere. I will be bringing my littles back here to have a great time
