Because the rest of my family is crazy for rollercoaster rides, I didn't get much time to spend with the animals but I enjoyed the views from the train ride at the end of the day as the park was closing. We got in free using my son's family membership passes.

Wasn't bad,but also wasn't worth the price. The guides were nice and knowledgeable and did their best, but the heat was oppressive, the animals smart enough to stay in the shade, more or less immobile as we stood on a flatbed truck and drove through. I don't think our group was that big, but it felt tight especially at the giraffe feeding. Couldn't maneuver much, take a pic, feed the giraffes, stay out of other guest photos and avoid a stray tongue looking for more lettuce. Again, wasn't bad,but wasn't the highlight we were hoping it would be.

The animals at this park seem to be treated very well. The enclosures are extremely large and the plains area is 65 acres which is where you'll find the giraffes, zebras, gazelles, etc. They have a trip that you can book in order to take a ride through the plains and feed the giraffes. Its extremely cool.

This excursion is not truly worth the price, but worthy of your time. It's a very short ride, but you will get to see the animals some hippos, giraffes, gazelles...to name a few. I was amazed at how they all were healthy looking.

It was definitely worth the price. Got super close with a lot of the animals. Also, getting to feed the giraffes was pretty cool. Lisa was a great tour guide! My only complaint would be sometimes I wish we had stopped in one spot longer, but I also understand time restraints are thing.

The trip is fun and each person gets to feed the giraffes. Wear a hat becuase there is NO shade during this standing room only ride.

This is always a great experience. Got to feed the giraffes and see the Serengeti. If you are a Platnuim member ask to see if you can renew your Safari for free. Great experience for small children.

This Safari is worth the extra cost, especially if you have annual passes (because you get a discount). The giraffes 🦒 are incredible and so gentle, and cute! My family truly loved this one of a kind experience. We have done safari’s before (in Animal Kingdom and in Maryland). This one is our new favorite!

We absolutely love doing this adventure. We chose to do the first one of the day, which worked out since there were only 6 of us which allowed us to get awesome pictures...

Really excellent add on to Busch Gardens Nice guide. Nice close up to animals and chance to feed s Giraffe. But photos taken by their photographer are not included in the photo pass and your not even entitled to a discount. The photos they took on this trip were very good in really nice frames but really expensive

(Translated by Google) The Serengeti Safari offers a nice train ride through the park. There are hundreds of animals and a guide provides interesting and funny explanations about the park and the animals. It's nice, it's been a relaxing moment between two roller coasters. It was great! Saw lots of animals and was able to feed a couple giraffes. Kids of all ages would love this! Our guide was really knowledgeable and doesn't go by a script so all animal questions are open for discussion.

What an amazing place. Had so much fun with my family. Highly recommend visiting. Yes, high prices for "kwik trip" quality food. But it all helps support a much bigger cause. The animal enclosures were huge. Well maintained beautiful park. We stayed from open to close and had fun the whole time! You have to do the Serengeti-geti-geti Safari! WOW!

What a fun experience for people of all ages. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about Giraffes on this tour. We had 2 giraffes come up to our truck. Everyone in the group got a turn to hand feed them. Then they did individual selfies at the end. There is a photographer on your safari with you. They take great pictures and you can buy a package from them. You are allowed to have your cell phones to take your own pictures and videos. The giraffes were very large and hungry.

It was nice, but it cost us over six hundred dollars, a family of four to get into the park and visit the safari. We did not even eat at the park. Had a couple of drinks that cost 20.00. It was not worth that kind of money , several rides were closed. I thought my granddaughter would love it. She just wanted to get her face painted. Lol Can't say we will go back.

Oh my gosh, this was the best add on for your Busch gardens experience, our tour guide was animated, fun and knowledgeable. We actually got more up close than I was expecting and the experience was exactly what we were hoping for on our trip. 💯 Recommend!

Zebras, giraffes, rhinos! So many animals roaming around. If you ride the train it will stroll through the middle of the grounds where the animals are not gated in but they tend to not get close to the train...except for the lovely emu/ ostrich (not sure what kind of bird it was) that came to say hello. 😊

I absolutely love animals, especially the big cats! The cheetahs were out to see, but the lion was hiding behind bushes, and the tiger was sleeping in his cave, keeping cool. I was kinda disappointed I didn't get to see Tiger and Lion, but I understand cats. All they do is sleep all day, mainly and up at night. Take me anywhere to see animals, and I'm there other than snakes and spiders, not in love with them, but I will respect distancing myself from them just don't come in my house! 😊 As you can see, I have cousins of the big cats, much smaller as well. The ginger color is Ozzy, and the grey color is Jagger. I had to throw in my domesticated cats just for some humor as too much seriousness in this world as well as negativity 😄 I hope you all enjoy the photos, and if you visit Busch Gardens, enjoy your day as much as I did.

Reasonably priced tour with the bonus of feeding the giraffes. Our tour guide Jared was knowledgeable and the views of the "Serengeti" were well worth it. Nice pit stop during our day at Busch Gardens.

I reserved the Safari for my very best friend's 40th birthday surprise. Not only was she surprised but so was I. It was such an amazing experience a once-in-a-lifetime thing to do well worth the money!

This is a nice animal encounter experience inside Bush Gardens Tampa, like a miniature African Safati. The highlight is feeding the giraffes, and they are not shy. This is a wonderful diversion within the park.

  • 2/5 Jimmy Z. 2 years ago on Google
The experience is cool, however, always it depends on the people that are on the tour with you. Some of the people on the tour should be put in the wild. It was really frustrating my son, who we got the safari for, couldn't see because of his height... He was too tall to see under the wooden bar and too short to see over it. They wouldn't allow us to pick him up. Really overall frustrating. For $2/minute per person, I expect much better. Been a pass holder for 20+ years.

We had the BEST time feeding the giraffes on this behind the scenes safari! Not only did we see a few other animals and learn about them, an adult and a baby giraffe came right up to the truck and they were up close and personal to say the least. There were about 10-12 people on the truck, but the tour guide made sure everyone constantly had a piece of lettuce to feed our friends. I would highly recommend spending a little extra for this experience!

Very personal and interactive. Plenty close to the animals. Really didn't even need to be THAT close. Just glad that the rhinos and giraffes were in a good mood.

While I enjoyed our experience, we also had to deal with rain delays and probably a shortened version of the tour; this $60/person adventure includes feeding giraffes lettuce as they gather around the bed of a truck getting close enough to snuggle*. Certainly the highlight of the tour and definitely worth it for first timers or those with children; There were plenty of photo ops and entertaining staff that were knowledgeable about the animals. *You are not allowed to touch the giraffe🦒

GREAT experience feeding the giraffe from the truck. She came up to the truck as we stopped and ate. We have fed manatees and now fed a giraffe. It was fun to play with her by holding the lettuce leaves as high up as I could and the others on the truck were not as tall as I am. There were 8 of us on the truck and a family with mom and 2 children gave us joy to see the kids feeding the animals and the questions they would ask. If you can, a wonderful experience.

Our family of 8 thoroughly enjoyed our Serengeti Safari tour. Billy was very knowledgeable and a great tour guide. Abbie did a great job driving the truck . We saw Abbie after the tour (not only did she drive the truck, but she is one of the anima keepers as well!) and she was so patient and kind answering all of our grandson's questions. It really made the day extra special and it was appreciated.

Price is fair, hard to get pictures though since you they eat the lettuce so quick. Would be nice if a complimentary picture was involved with the cost. The staff was very knowledgeable and kind.

Awesome adventure..to get up close and personal with some of the animals

  • 5/5 Salem M. 5 years ago on Google
How can I possibly put into words how awesome this experience is? Our tour guide was incredibly helpful, informative and willing to answer any and all questions about any of the species along the tour. We got to see some pretty cool animals that aren't in a lot of zoos. Rhinos, Caribou, Sable Antelope. But let's be real, the star of the show is the giraffes. You get to meet them, feed them and take a picture with them. Cupid was just the sweetest and was really excited to meet us (read: eat our lettuce). Truly an incredible experience that alone is worth the extra admission. I would do it again if I had the chance. Highly recommended.
