Great B&M coaster. Criminally underrated in terms of thrill. Line was always short throughout the whole visit, it never passed a 5 minute wait. The zero G roll is definitely the best part of the coaster, it throws you out of the seat!

Kumba is everything you could ever want out of a roller coaster and then some: it's visually stunning, intense, unique, and smooth. The line moves fast especially when it's running all 3-trains, it's a people eater. Front row gives the best view, back row is full of whip as you get yanked through the course. This ended up being my favorite on my visit. I would get off and get right back in line as it's extremely re-rideable. For a coaster built nearly two decades ago, it's glass-smooth with the exception of the interlocking corkscrews.

This B&M sit down coaster is so smooth and has one of the best layouts of any sit down coaster. The track dives in and out of the ground beautifully. Just waiting in the station and seeing the train go around the layout is a treat. The train comes right behind the station. The inversions are not intense at all. Just an all around fun ride that won’t beat you up.

6/6/23. My third favorite ride at Bushgardens. Lots of twist turns, loops, and corkscrews. You can't go wrong with this ride

The name means roar and boy is it loud. Has iconic elements and is overall very fun. It is a bit rough though and gives me a headache. I still enjoy it enough to ride every time I visit Busch Gardens Tampa.

A fun older coaster that leans to the intense side. Iconic for the roar. If you get motion sick on coasters, pass on this one - especially if it's a hot day.

Such a great coaster. One of the original Bolliger & Mabillard mega looping coasters. This is one of the most extreme coasters built in regards to speed and intensity! Such a fantastic ride that I’d recommend riding on any visit to Busch Gardens!

Great outting for you and friends, or your teenage kids. Wanted to share the best theme park food ever; the Zambia Smoke Shack. Brisket, ribs and other BBQ! Sharing an all-day meal pass every 90 mins works great. Or two single-meal tickets can get plenty of food here in four meals. Gobs of great coasters just be sure everyone makes the ride height toaximiza the day.Still one of the best price to performance theme parks in the US.

Not my fav coaster as it's jerky and not super smooth like sheikra or cheetah.

It's a very fun ride. It's designed to make a roaring sound on purpose which is kind of cool but at the same time annoying when you're standing in line for 2 hours trying to speak with people. It's not one of the best rides in the park but it's definitely when you shouldn't Miss. And keep your head against the headrest in the back otherwise this ride is not very smooth and will jerk your head around and you'll hit it on the over the shoulder restraints.

Was really let down... many activities in the park are closed. I feel like this should be said at time of ticket purchase. We bought the photo key... most of the photo kiosks are off. 4 different times we were in line for a ride and had a 30- 50 minute wait on maintenance. Luckily the park was not super busy because the staff size would not handle a crowd.

Phenomenal ride, this was my first multi looper and “big ride” although I’ve ridden twisted colossus before . The high positive G’s are bone crushing. My favorite row was the front, there is no rattle and the headache really depends on your tolerance. Don’t ride more than 3 times in a row unless you’re a psychopath and enjoy your head spinning for hours. I rode 3 times in a row and oh gosh you feel horrible. Other than that, the ride is perfect, no line, nice operators, fast speed, visually stunning, and not to mention the roar! Definitely a must ride at the park. For one of the earlier b&m’s this is phenomenal!

Best ride EVER. Thrilling and very exciting. If you love lots of twists and turns and being flipped upside-down, this is the perfect roller coaster ride for you. Have fun!

This is a great roller coaster! It's my second favorite from cheater hunt. It's smooth but you may get a headache from all the action. Definitely worth it though.

Would ride over and over again if it didn't make me so dizzy, amazing ride for it's age

Kumba is one of the great coasters that Busch Gardens has. It is a steel coaster and literally sounds like it's roaring (like a big cat) when it goes through some of the 7 inverted twists and turns. It is 143 feet tall and reaches speeds of 60 mph. It goes through a short tunnel toward the end so at night it is cool because your in total darkness. Normally there is not a dreadful wait for this coaster. Maybe 15 to 20 minutes...which is good compared to some of the others, which can be an hour or two.

It's the first Rollercoaster I ever did and that was when it was first introduced. And still ranks up there, plenty of forceful turns, drops, spins, it has it all.

I will be the first to admit, I was a little skeptical about this roller coaster. However, when I got on this ride my adrenaline started to pump like the Dickens LoL 🤣😆 I thought 🤔 about not getting on at first, but then I saw the twist and turns and decided why not? It actually turned out to be a very smooth ride! I also liked the super dark tunnel this ride goes through too! Kudos.... Bush Gardens! Kudos!....

We always enjoy our time at Bush Gardens. They are starting some new projects and I am excited to see what's coming. I like the fact that they are always updating and staying relevant.

Favorite ride ever everything is amazing literally the best ride rode it 4 times in a row very fast lines and sitting in the front seat is amazing love this ride so much!!

Okay, this would be such a sweet coaster, but it’s seriously starting to show it’s age. It could really use better quality wheels, and a track makeover. The layout is awesome, just a little rough.

Love this B&M coaster. So smooth. The front row is the best, and the view is amazing. There is a really good steakhouse (Zambia steakhouse) nearby. 2nd favorite coaster here. This ride is old so you can almost always walk up and ride it immediately. It also makes a very loud and iconic roaring noise.

Rough coaster so don’t recommend if you struggle with motion sickness. If you can handle jerky coasters it is still fun!

  • 3/5 Andrew K. 10 months ago on Google
Definitely overhyped imo, I have heard people say how super intense it was, so I was expecting a super intense ride, so when I got on and ride it, I felt kinda disappointed since it wasn’t as extreme as people were saying it was. Although I was disappointed, it is still a pretty fun ride, just don't go on thinking you’re going to grey out or anything, because you wont, it should be viewed as just a fun classic ride and nothing else.

Simple an amazing ride! I can say that is long with a lot of loops and you will really want to ride it again. We did it 7 times in a row

Classic ride that was way ahead of its time in my opinion. It definitely rattles too much and gives whiplash so make sure to keep your body parts close to the seat.

Really fun roller coaster. Lots of force.

One of the physically exhausting and loud coasters in Busch gardens. We love it though. It's rarely crowded. Definitely recommended for the coaster fanatics

Favorite coaster of all time, hands down. Intensity, a pop of airtime right before the cobra roll and going into/out of the MCBR, whippy inversions, soul crushing drop...perfection.

  • 4/5 Jordan 1 year ago on Google
One of my favorite coasters. Long ride, lots of inversions, great bang for your buck. Can be a little shaky tho, not the smoothest ride but a great track

  • 5/5 Nathan S. 1 year ago on Google
This is one of the smoothest rollercoasters I have ever been on. It was filled with twists and turns, and I loved every part of it. It's not the craziest one at Busch Gardens, but it's my favorite.

The ride was excellent and fun. Packed with intense G force and a lot of excitement. The only issue I have is that it was a little bumpy but it’s not as bumpy as scorpion either. But I still had a great time with this ride. Totally recommend

Ranked third best ride at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, but still in top 10 in my coaster list.
