One of the best coasters in the park, but starting to show its age. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the park!

Classic B&M invert with probably the coolest sounding roar of any coaster when it rips through the layout. The track goes in and out of some tunnels which amps up the experience with near miss elements. The forces are not super intense compared to some of the other inverts out there but it’s a fun ride for sure.

Montu is a masterpiece. It's very smooth with absolute no head banging. It is by far my favorite inverted roller coaster from the manufacturer Bolliger and Mabillard that I have ridden so far. Some people may be too intense, but if you are looking for a thrilling ride this is a must do!

A great coaster. Inversions, airtime, hands above your head on the smoothest ride you ever had. One of my all-time favorites.

Take the time to ride front row. Quick Que is your friend.

Montu is one of the best roller-coasters I've ever road. Fast enough, sit under & your feet hang. Twists & turns, hanging you over the edge as it takes the turns. It never has a long line because nobody really clammers to ride Montu. Which is crazy. Visitors should ride Montu twice, thrice, even four times by the time you've waited in line for the sheikra. Montu, Cheetah, and Gwazi are all low time wasting rides.

Nemesis (Alton Towers in UK) style coaster in the sitting position with four across and you drop from a height at the start. You go upside down on this smooth long ride which does lack tight turns but means less knocks and bumps. Our kids 10 and 12 loved it.

Love Montu! On my top 5 best coasters out of just over 100 I've been on. This coaster goes fast, drops you nearly to the ground and has lots of trenches it goes in and out of. It's still a smooth ride considering it's been around since 1996. The inversions are aggressive, and forceful, other than that loop after the break run. Front seat is worth the extra wait for an uninterrupted view. You can see the near miss elements approaching such as trenches, fences, the train if it's passing by, animals in the distance, and no one in front of you. Don't miss this one!

Still one of the best inverted steel coasters of the nearly 1600 coasters I've ridden world-wide.

Love busch gardens so much, I go at least 2-3 times a year. Great food and roller coasters and plenty of animals to enjoy when you want to take a little break from the rides as well. Great natural fun for the whole family!

This ride was very smooth and very extreme with a nice number of loops. A great ride. It makes a roaring noise as you're riding this which is a little odd but distinctive.

Amazing B&M rollercoaster, this one’s intense and will sure give you a good ride!

This was our favorite coaster here. It reminded us of raptor at Cedar Point in Ohio. Except this was taller, faster, and had a longer ride time. We also had no wait. We walked on twice. I highly recommend the front row. This one was our favorite at Busch Gardens Tampa.

One of the best invert coasters in the US. Well worth a ride. There is high throughput on the coaster so lines can move pretty fast.

  • 5/5 Kirby B. 2 years ago on Google
I love how tame the animals are. It lets me know that they are unafraid and we'll taken care of. And of course the 'coasters are great!

My all-time favorite ride at Busch Gardens! This ride is perfect for people who hate the stomach-dropping sensation of coasters. This dangling coaster makes the curves, rotations, and drops much more smooth and enjoyable. 5/5 for sure!

World class, high thrill roller coaster with great pacing through lots of elements and a stylish color scheme. This is my current #2 roller coaster beaten only by Steel Vengeance at Cedar Point.

Honestly 10\10 my favorite busch gardens roller coaster its so relaxing and a little bit aggressive and it has a wonderful theme to it I will always enjoy this ride

This is the smoothest inverted coaster. So many inversions with zero head ache after. This is by far my favorite inverted coaster I have ever rode on.

Been too long since I got to ride it, and glad it was opened when we came back. Best part of this trip when getting to ride this; sat by an older gentleman and he smiled and in the front row. Highlight of my trip.

This classic Busch Gardens coaster is located in the Egyptian section of the park. From entering the park is to the right. Multiple inversions and a very smooth ride make it one amazing ride! It also usually has one of the shortest lines. Like many of this theme park's rides, it is a decently long ride, which adds to the enjoyment.

This was closed almost all day due to an issue, and only ended up being open for 30 minutes or so. Why do I mention this? Because that means it didn't have time to warm up before I rode it...yet it was still absolutely mf insane. If you like spine breaking intensity, ride this.

  • 1/5 Alex H. 1 year ago on Google
Advertised as a 30min queue on the app, staff at the front of the queue said it was more 1hour. Actually queued more like 2hours. Main queue hardly moves. Probably the most soul destroying queue out of all the Disney and universal parks. I understand the fast pass queue takes priority but better balancing between the fast pass and normal queue is needed

Awesome ride. Can be a bit scary at first, but once you go on and complete the ride, you'll definitely find it a thrilling and worthwhile experience leaving you wanting to try it again.

A classic inverted coaster. Only a few left of these in the world enjoy them before they are replaced! Short Line allows you to experience this coaster from all areas of the train. I like the front the best.

  • 5/5 Andrew K. 11 months ago on Google
I absolutely love this coaster, it is aggressive in all the right ways while also not being too much to handle. It’s truly a fun and thrilling ride that everyone should try

  • 4/5 Shawn S. 9 months ago on Google
Nice inverted coaster, but there are a couple of places in the ride that are starting to show age. Still, nice ride.

  • 5/5 P M. 9 months ago on Google
The best roller coaster in the park besides Cheetah. Be prepared for multiple loops and corkscrews. This ride is definitely not for the faint of heart or for those who get motion sick easily.

  • 5/5 Kelvin N. 9 months ago on Google
Montu is a really fun coaster to ride especially for people that love heights or just roller coaster enthusiasts. Might be a little too much for those that don’t like heights or for younger guests but whats the worst than giving it a try.

So when my fiance & I go to Busch gardens we pretty much always grab quick queue passes if there is more than a 10 min wait on most rides. Montu has been around since '96-'97, I believe, so even w/out those it & Kumba usually don't have as long a wait time. We almost always start the day w/ Montu, unless we get there right at open & head straight for Iron Gwazi before it gets crazy since not all quick queues work on the 2 newest rides. We keep a platinum pass between us & that gives us 6 free passes a yr plus parking & discounts, so we go 4-5 times a yr & take friends or family sometimes too. Montu has become a ride we always hit even when the others are hit or miss based on the visit & it's still fun after 27 yrs, & I've been riding it since it opened at 12 yrs old lol.

Montu is my favorite inverted coaster. This coaster has great pacing from start to finish. Every single inversion on this ride brings on the positive g forces. The only time where this ride gives you a brake and slows down is The part after the second 60 ft vertical loop. Otherwise, this is a great 7 inversion coaster that everyone should experience.

If you like rollercoasters you'll love Montu. You are under the track with lots of twists, turns, and loops. The G-forces will make your face droop and just when you think its over there is a lot more to go. 🥰🥰🥰
