This was my 1st time experiencing Disney's water park. I had fun! I really enjoyed the atmosphere of Typhoon Lagoon. I spent a lot of time in the lazy river. There was a lot of floating options available like single inner tubes, double inner tubes, and a floating chair which was my favorite. Life vest were available and towels can be rented. Therefore, bring your own towels. You can also bring your own meals to save money or splurge on Disney snacks. The wave pool was intense. My main issue is that they have plastic lounge chairs that do not adjust and in the Florida sun they can get very hot. I will have to revisit to try the slides.

We had a great time riding rides and lounging down the lazy river on a chilly Monday. It was in the 50s to start the day, which was nice Bc the park was empty until noon. The longest we waited was 2 minutes all day for rides. The place is very clean, the attendants are very helpful, it’s easy to rent lockers, they have free towels so you don’t have to bring your own, and the food is pretty decent. One of the best water parks I have been to so far! And there was a wild turkey in the parking lot!!

It’s a very relaxing water park, beautiful gardens. Oct 10, cloudy day, half sun half clouds, the water is already a little cold in the water, but perfect sitting in the shade, still need for sun sprays. No need to go there early. Best water park! If you want excitement, Billiard Beach is a better choices. Locker rent: $10. Towel: free for hotel guests. Find a chair in the shade, use it as a base. Bring water shoes, waterproof phone case, 2 bottles of sun sprays, 2 bottles of waters.

It's ok. Built in the 1990s and not updated much since then. Water surprisingly not hot as you'd think - temperatures when we visited in October were about the same as a summer's water temperature in London. Wave machine ok when it worked but seemed to be intermittently broken and would be better if they had a countdown so you knew how long to wait Lazy river was fun. Food and drink ridiculously expensive. And.. They play Irish jigs non stop as background music, which is weird in the tropical style setting!

We had so much fun here. This is the best water park. Getting an umbrella made the day more fun. The wave pool was amazing and the lazy river the most fun. Tons of great food to eat and drinks to be had. Don't forget to try the mini Donuts with dipping sauces.

We went to H20 glow nights. It was so much fun, free ice cream, popcorn. We went to all rides, very short lines. Like the park very much! Stage show was very much fun!! Chipmunks, pirate from Peter pan, Goofy.

Excellent waterpark 2nd time I have been in 10yrs. Please look at the pics and remember its Disney so the gift shops are a bit pricey but all in all good. Things to note: Umbrella rentals for the day are $100 US and are good for 4 people nk one else can go under that umbrella only 4 bands are given and only those 4 can access the umbrella. I was with a party of 12 so that meant we would have had to rent 3 umbrellas. $300 and they couldn't find 3 next to each other so we opted out. The other solution was to rent a cabana for the day that fit 12 people but that was too much money to rent a hut for 8 hours. Even though we didnt have a completely shaded area there was enough cloud coverage comming over to make the 35 degrees temperatures bearable. They sell refillable soda mugs much like the universal ones but there is no code on the bottom that needs to be scanned to activate it and you dont have to wait the 10 mins before refilling again. The lazy river was slower than I remembered previously and was pretty packed and took a long time to go round. Water slides were good and all the kids and adults I went with really enjoyed them. All in all I would go back to that park..

After many months of looking for a church, we settled on South Orlando Baptist. Pastor Dave has a true shepherd's heart. He cares about you and your family. We were attracted to this diverse congregation and pleased that they show the love and unity that only comes through Christ.

I love how friendly and diverse this church is. Everyone was so welcoming on my first visit and everyone continues to be just as welcoming as I continue to attend the church. If you've felt judge at a church in the past, that's not the case here. I highly encourage you to check this church out.

My daughter and I love this church. She was baptized at this church by Pastor Dave and he is an amazing Senior Pastor. We have been attending this church for 2 years. I love that this church is a group of diverse people. This is a friendly church and I love the activities available for children as well as the adults(small groups). We are so glad to be a member at this church.

It’s all about perspective on this one. Coming from Wisconsin where we have an abundance of outstanding water parks, this place doesn’t measure up. The rides are all below average compared to what we’re use to, with only the wave pool being anything special. More importantly, the rides load very slowly (they desperately need to roll out the Fast Pass+ system here) and the park gets ridiculously packed within a couple hours of opening. Total waste of money and that’s coming from a Disney fanatic.

Our family loves Typhoon Lagoon. The wave pool has the most intense waves and beats all the other wave pool around. The slides are fun and pretty easy for the kids to handle. They do a really good job of keeping this place clean and safe.

So fun for all ages! Went with my parents who are in their sixties and we all had a blast. Once you get your bearings it’s easy to find what you are looking for. They have a souvenir cup for only $13 and you get free refills all day! Best money spent. There are quite a few raft rides the three of us could go on together. It was a great day. Lots of areas to cool off along your walk. Favorite family raft ride was Miss Adventure falls. Be warned the Humunga Kowabunga is so fun, but will leave you with the worst wedge of your life.

My favourite water park. Love the theming, I feel it is better executed that Blizzard Beach. Love the vibe here, music is the cherry on top.

For the price and it being a Disney park, I had expected more rides and activities. In total, there are 7 rides: 2 in solo inner tubes, 2 solo body rides, 1 in two-person inner tubes, and 2 in family rafts. There is also the Castaway Creek (Lazy River) and the Wave Pool, which are major attractions. While the wait times for the rides never exceeded 15 minutes, the rides were quite short and not the most exciting. All of them were a variant of twists and turns without much variety between them. And while I understand that safety is paramount, most of the attendants took it to another level with so much whistle-blowing and hand gesturing even when we never stepped over a line. It really did not give that Disney experience, especially when there were no Disney character meet and greets and nothing remotely Disney about it. What is even more aggravating is that they make you pay $10 for a small locker and $15 for a bigger locker when the tickets already cost $60+ dollars. Not to mention they don't provide free towels and one needs to pay to rent towels. And all the beach chairs are in the sun without umbrellas and you pay extra for your own roped-off cabana. It feels like a money-grubbing scheme that goes against the Disney spirit. But I will say that I did enjoy the "Lazy River", since they have a great assortment of inner tubes and isn't too crowded. I also want to praise the gardening staff for curating such a beautiful garden with fragrant jasmine and hibiscus flowers. They also have a cafeteria with 6 flavors of Dole whip, which was also exciting.

Fun for everyone. Lazy river has warmer water and is filled with single/double floaters and U-shaped seat floats👈👈👈 are the best. We ate at Leaning Palms and shared a Jerk Shrimp 🍤 rice bowl with corn salsa and plantains. The frozen tropical drink slush was fruity and cooling. The 🌊 Pool is AMAZING! See videos 🎥. There’s a roaring sound as it starts and everyone starts to scream in excitement! At the entrance, a cast member 🧑‍🎨 was chalking my favorite character! Dale in a pumpkin (as it is October when we went - the temps were high 70s) They also have kid friendly areas, rides, plus ship wrecked 🏴‍☠️💦splash pads. Recommend riding the 🎢Crush ‘n’ Gusher and 🩱Miss Adventure Falls. You’ll be 🌬️Blown Away with fun!

I don't attend this church as my home church, but I do know Pastor Dave. I know many families who attend here, because this year I have been the substitute for all grades. Being a single mother of 3... SOBC and RCA have ALWAYS been helpful to me and my children- giving us food among other things when we were left in a tough situation. As a parent of BOTH public school educated daughters and a son who has been mostly in private school... I can also say the teachers at RCA are AWESOME and have a heart fir God and children. We strive to have open communication with parents and it's awesome when we get to pray with our students when they express their prayer requests. I honestly wanted to know what you (Dave) had against this church and school. Such negative comments One thing you need to remember is that NO ONE is perfect... only Jesus. However, trash talking an entire entity without fully knowing EVERYONE causes you to judge. Judgement is in God's hands. Be careful what you speak. Especially when attacking the house of the Lord. Lifting you in prayer sir... whatever has caused this anger to stir and remain- Lord take care of it as you take care of each of us!!! Lord continue to bless SOBC as they grow with Pastor Dave. Continue to guide Michele Purvis & Karen Abell in their positions at RCA. Thank you Lord for providing for all staff at SOBC and RCA and use us to expand your kingdom and bless others! Amen! Happy Teacher Appreciation week!!!

Overall we were not impressed with the quality of slides. We were underwhelmed by the selection and completed the park within 1.5 hours of arriving. I would not recommend to those seeking thrill and excitement at a waterpark. I was also left with scratches down my back from the water shoots as no protective mats were offered.

A good selection of rides. An amazing wave pool - how do they make a wave that big?! Got there a while after opening but still managed to get sun loungers. No rides with long queues, even though it was quite busy. Staff very friendly and helpful

First time at Disney Typhoon Water Glow After Hours. As an annual pass holder, it costs $59 extra for the special ticket. You can get in early as a passholder, but the event doesn't start until 8pm. Rental lockers were available for purchase near the entrance bathrooms. They ask everyone to show their special bands before allowing anyone in the water at 8pm. All you can eat and drink of soda, ice cream bars and popcorn was included with the ticket. You could also purchase dinner at several concession stands around the park. I loved their colorful Chicago Footlong. The rides still had wait times but much less than during the day. The lazy river was lit up and very pleasant. They had a DJ and some performers on stage that drew a crowd of dancers, but most people enjoyed the cooler water rides after a very hot and humid day. Well worth the extra ticket.

Great water park. General tickets are $73 per person which includes access to 2 'body' slides, 2 single tube slides, 1 short family tube slide, 1 'water coaster' family tube slide, and a two-person tube water coaster. They also have a huge wave pool (with HUGE waves) that goes up to 6-7 feet and a lazy river (2-3feet deep) that goes around the entire park. Overall it's a great place to visit especially on hot days. The rides aren't as themed as normal Disney Parks (they're just normal water rides) but the waits are much shorter than general Disney parks. Lines were between ~10-20min generally. You can go to the wave pool or lazy river whenever and stay there as long as you want. Most of the rides are toddler-friendly and we also saw several babies. For food, you can get Disney's classic Dole Whip ice cream here (but not the floats!) and general variety of Disney fast food. There's lockers with showers near the entrance. You can also leave your stuff in a beach chair throughout the park.

I have to lead with the only way to experience this place correctly is to reserve a beachcomber shack! It was our first time here in probably 15 years and boy did we have a blast. The weather was a little brisk and windy in the morning, but as a whole, couldn't have asked for a better day. Short lines, the coolest wave pool I've ever seen...and dedicated staff to bring all food and libations we could handle! We shall be back ASAP.

I am not big on review as everyone has a different opinion of what a church should be. However, after reading the last two reviews I felt lead to write this review. My family and I come from a very small church and were apprehensive about the size of this church when we moved from Davenport FL to Orlando FL. We didn’t want to get lost in the crowd. If you are looking for a sugar coated version of the bible this may not be the church for you. They have a great children’s and youth church as well as amazing teachers. This is a very diverse church and that is the way I like it. Since moving to Orlando our family has been blessed to join this church. They have plenty of ways to serve within the church and outside the church. In short, if you have a chance to stop in and visit this South Orlando Baptist Church you will not be disappointed. Pastor Dave is very personable and a firm believer in God and His word. Let me add that Michele Purvis is an amazing woman of God and I am blessed to know her.

Excellent water park. True to Disney form they design and decorate each ride so that it fits perfectly into the environment. Not a lot of thrill rides but the wave pool is next level. My kids both said that was their favorite part.

Well, my vision is yet to be manifested based on lack of experience..... I have been consciously aware of Gods designed for my life... I am here and plan on vising.... As for Dave's comment... About false prophets, I can't help sit here and wonder if this Pastor that presides over this church ever claimed to be a prophet, or claimed a favor in specific direction and/or order by God.... If some one can help answer this question please do Before I visit.

South Orlando Baptist Church is an excellent church. My wife and I have now been attending for over a month and absolutely love the people and Pastor Dave's teaching. We are also encouraged that the church places high value on their children and students as the Regency Christian Academy (a ministry of South Orlando Baptist Church) is a top notch and dual accredited school for students PK-8th Grade.

Place was lots of fun. I would suggest more spots for shade but you go here for the water slides and fun in the sun. The food we ate was good and the drinks even better. We came on Memorial Day weekend and I thought it would be busier but I was glad it wasn't. They have lockers for your personal items and lounge areas to claim your chairs for the day. Perhaps next heat wave we will be back.

Had a blast. When you visit in early November, you still have some nice warm days, but, nobody is at the water park. I did every ride multiple times in 90 min then a 90 minute wave session. You could easily do a morning at Typhoon and hit an afternoon evening at another park and have a great day! Watch out for body surfers, we chime flying in like missiles.

BE AWARE they do NOT give towels, they will send you to buy a $30 towel. I'm pretty sure they use to give towels cause there are a lot of "towel return" can throughout the park. I enjoyed my time there tho.

Church is for the sick (sinner) and we all qualify, flaws and all. I visit often and welcome the truth of Christ Gospel from the pulpit. Is it uncomfortable? Yes, but what truth isn't. Lots of ways to serve others, which is often a good way to get to know fellow brothers and sisters.

I haven't been there in years! We all had a great time. Pros: *Free parking *you are allowed to bring your own coolers *you are allowed to bring your own snacks and drinks (no cans or glass) *there are life jackets for little ones to use at no additional cost *Kiddie area has a lot of shade and so much to do for the little ones. Cons: *Cannot bring in ice for the coolers *Cannot use entire face goggles that cover your nose. *No extra floaties or toys are allowed inside the pool. *In the big pool/beach area, as they like to call it, the water is too warm/hot. The entire park water is heated, which would be fine for the cooler months, but in the summer, please no. The rest of the water in the park had a suitable temperature except for that part. Tips: *Get there about 30 minutes before opening and try to get a location under a tree or large cabana that is not for rental. *Wear water shoes. The floor gets very HOT. *Bring a cell phone water protector to take incredible pictures and videos. *After finding a spot for your things, check out the park and ride ride ride. There will be less of a line; you may just finish within an hour or two. Then, you can do the Big Wave or Lazy River as there are no lines for those. *Use the Lazy River to travel from place to place to avoid the heat. *Two hours or so before closing, the lines will be less. We rode Miss Adventure Falls (my favorite ride) six times in a row and waited no more than five minutes.

So much fun for the entire family! Also I suggest checking out the H20 Glow Nights that they do every summer. Certain nights they re-open the park with awesome neon lights everywhere with DJ's and all kinds of fun stuff! We go every summer and it never disappoints. And the cabanas are a must - such an awesome way to do the water parks.

While it could definitely bring back swimming with the sea life, this park truly is a lot of fun. The wave pool is unlike anyone else’s that we’ve ever experienced. We loved the ease of the rides. Even our timid kids could ride nearly everything! We really had an excellent day. You could easily spend all day here but you can also get everything done in 3 hrs, like we did, and be just as satisfied. All around great experience.

Such a fun place to go! I always have a great time unless my chair is sat on by a Brazilian tour group. Highly recommend reserving an umbrella or cabana. These make the park a totally different experience with comfort. There is no need to rush at park opening to get a good seat. I love the refillable drink and beer options! We are still using refillable cups from 2021 with no issues. Just make sure you don't put them in a dishwasher.

We came as a large family and rented a Cabana ahead of time. Ashley was our attendant and did an amazing job all day. She stopped by several times to check on us and answer any questions and despite a minor phone snafu she then went to the other side of the park to run an ice cream pail back before it melted for us. She was sweet and extremely thoughtful and made a great day even better.

We absolutely LOVED Typhoon Lagoon. We were there from open to close and had the BEST vacation day EVER! We are locals and this was exactly what we needed for a day long vacation with our 3 year old. The lazy river and wave pool are fantastic. She was able to ride EVERY ride other then 2 (which would have been way too scary for her anyway). It wasn't busy at all especially in comparison to the theme parks. We seriously had the most relaxing day. The cast members were all wonderful and so helpful. Everyone was so friendly. The jerk shrimp bowl was delicious and the sand pail of ice cream was enough for 4 of us to enjoy (and feel overly full)! Wait times didn't exceed 15 minutes for anything at any time all day. The katchakidee area is GREAT for little ones. We will absolutely be back!

"And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people." Matthew 24:11 The good review here is from Michele Purvis (school principal at SOBC's private school) which violates Google's terms of service: "If you work at a place, please don’t review your own employer." Additionally, Michelle Purvis is dishonest and blatantly lied to me. I am sorry I visited the Church and was extremely disappointed. the paid staff is unfriendly, unwelcoming, snobby, highfalutin and insincere with a big opinion of themselves (Sin of Pride)... Not people of God here... I love Jesus but I dislike many of his followers (because they are nothing like him) and SOBC was a reminder of this for me. SOBC appears cliquey and controlling and the people are mean - wolves in sheep's clothing. Note: I tried communicating with and contacting the pastor but he won't respond to my inquiries (not wise/professional imo) so thank goodness for reviews. Not very personable? In fact, anyone is more than welcome to contact me directly about this review! Wow, the pastor won't contact me but I am being stalked and trolled via email by Michelle Tolentino who is pretending to be a interested 3rd party. If you make a bad review please use a fake name or you might be trolled by the staff.

As a member of SOBC since 2004, we have seen our dynamic and diverse congregation grow and connect with our community. Our many programs involve all worshippers that want to serve in His name; to make disciples, baptize them, and teach them. All military Veterans are recognized and appreciated for our service to our Nation. Blessings...

Went here for Easter Sunday with my mom and enjoyed myself. The songs and choir were nice and I liked that the collection bag was passed once, instead of 3x times as I've seen it done in other churches. Everyone was friendly and welcoming and the pastor was funny and relatable in his sermon.

I received a head injury in the wave pool. The Disney staff were very accommodating but as soon as I was sent away in the ambulance, I was forgotten about. You would have thought someone from Disney may had wanted to find out what the damage was in the end. I was left with a large medical bill and we had to claim from our travel insurance, this incident certainly spoiled our holiday. Be very careful in the wave pool and avoid during the busy periods.

We loved this place... Went twice, once when weather was colder by Florida standards and there was no one in the park! So cool to go on and off rides... Second time was warm weather and totally worth it!

A really fun day out - floor of the wave pool is very tough so be careful - lots of grazes!

What a fun way to spend a day! The cost of entry to a Disney Water Park is less than a day at one of the 4 major parks, but is still Disney quality fun! You can spend your whole day in the wave pool and the lazy river and be totally happy, but there are a ton of water slides and fun little areas throughout the park. This is a great way to spend a non-park day where you can both relax and enjoy exciting rides!

Such a fun water park and the staff is so helpful and so mindful of children. Very clean and great family atmosphere.

If you must go to a Disney theme park, go to this one. It was not overly crowded, the slides were fun, and you could easily just sit and chill without being left behind forever. The water is in lazy river, which is so long and lazy, is so warm. Ditto most of the water slides. The wave pool is cool but not cold, and it generates some large size waves. The music was appropriate and not overly irritating. You can stand in lines for hours at Disney proper or come here and do everything. Your call.

This water park has it all from plunging water rides, to a relaxing lazy river ride on there rubber floats. And a giant wave pool that is not for the timid at heart. Several eateries throughout the park with several pavilions to accommodate your family or groups of friends and even tours, as well as adult beverages and even live entertainment at one of their bars inside the park. And plenty of beach chairs and lounges. And to top it off they even have showers and they provide the shampoo . All you need is your body. 🚿 Disney has done it again in outdoing itself. You will definitely have a fantastic time with this water park.

Sharing Christ to a multicultural congregation. Great pastor that is not afraid to preach biblical truths, no matter what toes he steps on... May God continue pouring his blessings on this church and the surrounding community.

I love this body of believers at South Orlando Baptist Church. Faithful, expository preaching combined with a gospel-centered ministry makes this a healthy and discipleship-oriented church for individuals and families to grow.
