Great trail. Initially is very sandy so if you have a bike it might be hard to get around as you have to stick to the edges, which aren't always clear, but once you're more inwards there's a large paved trail. From what it looks like they were trying to build a condominium community but never got around to it so the road is the only thing they finished. No bugs from my experience, just the random squirrel, turtle, and tiny harmless snakes.

Bell Creek Nature Reserve is a park in Riverview that’s located in Riverview. It’s known for its hiking trails. The trails are well-marked, and it’s easy to get around. The trails come into a variety of types: asphalt, dirt, and sand. However, the terrain of the trails may be bumpy. The park is free to visit, but there’s no bathrooms available. However, the trail map is very useful and other posters provides interesting information. You can spend up to three hours here if you’re walking on all the trails they offer. Overall, would recommend if you want a safe and easy walk.

Great for a peaceful walk to get some exercise in. Picnic tables by the pond offer nice lunch views. The trail gets a little flooded after a big rain.

Nice little walk, very open area that overlooks a lake. Only saw this friendly Gopher tort along the trail but was still a nice day out to enjoy the views.

We enjoyed the afternoon here. There was no cost to park. The trail was great with beautiful scenery & informative spots along the way. We met a cool gopher tortoise too! 🥰

Historically this place was part of the Spanish trail. Other than that there isn’t a lot to look at but it does offer a long trail and tranquillity.

I've been in many parks and trails, this is so far is the worst one I have been to in Tampa. It's very sandy, nothing interesting to explore. There is a small lake but you don't get close enough to enjoy the view, no benches, no walking path, no living soul around. Very disappointed. At least this park is free.

A lovely place to catch up with a few friends. The picnic tables are positioned so you can view the lake while you're eating, making the experience absolutely unrivaled. The air is fresh and the scenery is lovely. If you get lucky like me, you might see a few baby turtles! Make sure you watch your step, because their shells are hard to see if you aren't paying attention : ) Loved my time here. Highly recommend it!

👍👍 Great park, it is open! People just don't realize you have to go through the park next door to get to it. Wonderfully maintained trails with diverse plant communities & many sand pine stands. Plentiful gopher tortoise throughtout the entire park. Use the google maps bicycle path plugin to see the tr...
