My husband and I had a Spring wedding at The Sparkman House and it was absolutely magical. Theresa made the entire process so easy and she was incredibly accommodating. We planned the entire event from North Carolina and Theresa was there every step of the way to help us organize the wedding and work with us on special requests. The rooms for us and our guests were immaculate and the entire home is beautiful. The floral arrangements and cake for the ceremony turned out even more stunning than I had hoped! I cannot thank Theresa enough for making my wedding so special and stress free. Not to mention how delicious both breakfasts were! It was a fairytale event!!! We used the Sparkman House Luxury Bed & Breakfast for my daughter’s bridal shower. The place is incredibly beautiful and very well maintained. You feel so important the minute you walk in. The owner/hostess, Theresa, was so helpful in the planning of the shower. She gave us advice and helped us put together an incredible and memorable day for my daughter, from the guest list, arrangements of the tables, and an wonderful menu. From the minute we walked in Theresa and the chef Serena were so helpful in moving us through the events of the day. They were both so attentive to all of my guest. Every guest kept telling me what an incredible place this was and that the food was so wonderful too. I can’t say enough great things on how wonderful this place was and how happy my daughter was at her shower. Thanks you Sparkman House for making my daughter’s bridal shower such a magical event!! If you have an event coming up and you need a great place to hold it, hands down give the Sparkman House a chance, you won’t regret it.

Such a cute historic B & B. Had the opportunity to have High Tea at The Sparkman House and it was a delight. Lovely food and wonderful service. But the atmosphere was the best. Beautiful decor and a lovely garden. Must try!

I absolutely loved The Sparkman House. My mom and sister planned my bridal shower tea party here and it was completely perfect! This house is gorgeous and wonderfully decorated with one of a kind antiques. We had the house to ourselves that day and our gracious host Theresa, welcomed us to explore. My favorite rooms were the library with its sliding ladder on the bookcase and the sitting parlor. My family/friends and I really felt like we had stepped back in time when we entered the house. Theresa and her staff took excellent care of us and were very attentive. The food and tea were amazing too! I highly recommend The Sparkman House for anyone who is looking for a venue with historical charm and or a place for a romantic weekend get away! I

My girlfriend and I wanted a special celebration for my birthday. We had previously had a horrible b&b experience in St Augustine and we desperately wanted to redeem it. I found The Sparkman House online, searching for nearby b&bs and it looked so beautiful and had great reviews so I felt good and very confident about it. Well, not only did it not disappoint, it exceptionally exceeded our expectations. The minute we pulled up, we were in awe and kept taking pictures outside. Theresa, the owner, came out to greet us and brought us inside. Wow, when we walked into that foyer... just wow!! It was like a Hallmark Christmas dream! She went through the welcoming info and led us to the dreamiest room we've ever stayed in. A tall, four post bed filled with Victorian style pillows and luxurious blankets. Fit for the Queen herself. It was a warm, dreamy bedroom with a very home like feeling. We got a room with an attached bathroom. Both bedroom and bathroom were exquisite and squeaky clean. Every little detail you could think of was taken care of, not just in the room but in the entire two day stay. We even had a little Christmas tree in our room, which was perfect because we had brought gifts for each other to celebrate our own holiday, just the two of us alone together. Our gift exchange in that Victorian bedroom will be a special time in my heart, that neither of us will ever forget. Then there was the two mornings we had breakfast. Oh my goodness. Did I mention fit for a queen?? Theresa had shown us the incredibly comfortable terry bath robes and told us we were more than welcome to come to breakfast in our jammies and robes. We sure did. Every single course was, not only, instagram picture worthy... but Food Network/Gordon Ramsay approved! Lol I'm a cook myself, and the most important ingredient is... as cheesy as it sounds... LOVE! Every dish exploded with flavor and we couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was. Even down to the butter and jelly! Theresa and her gorgeous Sparkman House, along with my incredible girlfriend of course... made my birthday celebration honestly the best one of my life. I cannot thank her enough for her impeccable hospitality. We will, most definitely, be returning. I would give 10 stars and beyond recommend staying here for any celebration or just a little weekend getaway! Thank you!

We recently stayed at this lovely B&B. We were greeted with the most warm and inviting hosts. The entire Inn was decorated so beautifully. We have stayed at other B&Bs, this lovely Queen Anne home is by far the nicest. Our host accommodated my husbands dietary needs. The breakfast was scrumptious. The entire estate is so well cared for. The grounds are just as lovely and well cared for as is the House. We will be back. 😊

Sparkman Luxury Bed and Breakfast will not disappoint you! From the burning candle, to the chocolates on our pillow, to the beautifully decorated Cottage, we were extremely impressed!! In the morning, Theresa the owner came by the Cottage and served us a scrumptious, homemade breakfast!! I would highly recommend this exquisite Bed and Breakfast!!

First ever bed & breakfast stay and it exceeded every expectation. The property was so well maintained. The house was stunning. The decor is impressive. Theresa was amazing. Our three course breakfast was memorable, especially the room it was served. We are already looking at available dates we can return, and recommending it to friends and family.

My husband and I have stayed at many B&Bs over the years and the Sparkman House is in the top. The house itself is gorgeous and every last detail has been thought of. It sits on a quiet, brick lined road in the historic district. You can walk right to downtown. The grounds surrounding the house are beautiful. Every room has been thought out and decorated so well. We spent a lot of our time just admiring all the architectural detail and decor. Theresa herself is so nice! She made sure our time was just right. There is nothing she has not thought of. Even turn down service in the evening, warm cookies upon check-in and a bottle of wine for my husband and I’s anniversary. Breakfast was delicious and what my husband and I think of as “traditional” B&B which seems to be rarer and rarer these days. 3 courses, coffee, orange juice-all wonderful! My only regret is not being able to stay longer!

My stay at the Carriage House Suite at this luxurious BNB was more than excellent. It was magnificent. A dream come true. My husband and I could not have asked for a more perfect venue to seal our love in marriage. Thank you to Theresa, Maria, Ken and staff for providing a lovely experience with attention to detail. This review is 3 months late! We had my rehearsal dinner here for my wedding in April! All the staff did such an amazing job! We had 48 people for the bridal party and family and we all fit relatively well on the outside area. The food we had was Spanish style chicken or pork with rice and beans and a salad. It was amazing, we even had leftovers to take home! I would highly recommend this location for rehearsal dinner, baby or bridal shower or any type of gathering under 50 people. Only wish is we would’ve had more time to enjoy the venue! Hope to stay at the bed and breakfast eventually!

I stayed at the Sparkman House the past two days with my best friend, Jordan, and it was the most luxurious experience I have ever had! It was my first time there, and Jordan’s second time. I heard so many wonderful things about this place, and my expectations were vastly exceeded. Everything is spotless and so clean in this beautiful Victorian inspired bed and breakfast; and speaking of breakfast, the food is absolutely incredible. We had the three course meals, and the tea party, and all of it was just immaculate and so well curated (as is everything in the house!). I am normally a very picky eater, but not only did I get to try so many new things, I thoroughly enjoyed every single bit of it! Our room was the Palermo, and my goodness it is so ornate and gorgeous. I honestly am at a loss for words with how wonderful it was. Jordan and I planned photoshoots inside the room and in the house itself, and it was so much fun. I felt like a beautiful Victorian vampire. Theresa, the innkeeper, was so genuinely kind and sweet, I am so thankful to have met her. She accommodated us, and was very understanding at times when we were late. She makes you feel so welcome and warm in her amazing home, and treats you like a princess. I cannot recommend this place enough; we just arrived home earlier today, and I already can’t wait to go back soon! We want to stay in all of the rooms!

We went to Sparkman House for an afternoon tea, and it was a wonderful experience. We were running late but Therese assured us that she would make it work, & she sure did! The food was terrific, we especially loved the mint scones, the tiny quiches, & the individual chicken pot pies. The setting couldn't have been more picturesque. The house has been lovingly restored & furnished with period pieces, it's absolutely gorgeous! We will definitely be coming back!

This house is absolutely beautiful! You can tell that Theresa the owner put a lot of love, time and effort into the decorations and details of the house. Theresa was so nice and accommodating as well as very easy to talk to. The rooms are amazing and luxurious! The atmosphere was very peaceful and relaxing. My husband and I had a wonderful time and the breakfast before we left was delicious. I would definitely recommend The Sparkman house to everyone. We will be going back for sure!!

Better experience than I could have hoped for. My bridal party and I stayed here for my wedding weekend and we hosted our rehearsal dinner here as well. It is clear that the hosts have poured their heart and soul into this house, and we feel so grateful to have been here. Theresa went above and beyond to make every guest feel like royalty. The food prepared for the event was AMAZING and made by the personal chef they hire out. The three course breakfast was so delicious impressed us every morning as well. Now my whole family and friend groups are trying to come up with an excuse for us all to come back and celebrate another event! Thank you for being an amazing part of our wedding weekend!

Last weekend I threw a birthday party for my mother’s 60th birthday here. I had reserved a room for afternoon tea and the experience was exceptional! Theresa and her staff really outdid themselves by making the event extra special. They even added a sign that said Happy Birthday. The food was delicious and surprisingly filled everyone up (even the men) right away. We even had many leftovers that the staff nicely boxed up and labeled for us even though we didn’t ask for it. I had planned this event months before and booked a one night stay for my parents as a birthday gift/surprise. Unfortunately my mother had a bad fall and wouldn’t be able to go upstairs. Theresa was super accommodating and changed my reservation to a first floor room. My mother absolutely loved her stay here and we can’t thank the Sparkman staff enough for how special and memorable they made everything. We definitely would come back here and highly recommend this place!

We had our wedding and reception here over Thanksgiving weekend and cannot say enough good things about Theresa and her husband. We booked the entire house to accommodate our out-of-state family members. Each room is unique with its style and decor. We had rehearsal dinner catered in and the day of the wedding on Saturday was magical! The reception under the new pergola was absolutely beautiful and a great intimate setting for our family and close friends. Three course breakfast was fantastic and our dinner was amazing. I would highly recommend this B&B as our guests did not have to travel anywhere else as everything was taken care of at this B&B. Would highly recommend.
