This is a lovely place. We were visiting my Nana and my mom is from Plant City so we knew our way around but this place was a hidden gem! Don't be fooled by the outside appearance. Inside is a warm, inviting atmosphere with very clean, comfortable rooms and the very best manager in Maria. We really enjoyed her breakfasts and sweet, cheery demeanor. We stayed in the Henry Plant room and loved that there were 2 large beds with plenty of room to walk around and not be on top of each other. The queen bed was a little bouncy, but overall, we were well rested and comfortable. The bathroom was great but the 'stall' area for the toilet is very, very small. We were the only guests for the majority of the week and noticed a limited supply of hot water once other guests arrived. We absolutely loved Maria. She's so sweet and welcoming. Her breakfasts are so delicious! She's definitely flexible and quick thinking; her oven died on the busiest morning and she still had breakfast ready and piping hot!

I loved everything about this place. Maria is the kindest woman. I had forgotten to bring socks and asked her where the closest Walmart was, she went above and beyond. She had a brand new pair of pink socks that matched my outfit perfectly! She saved the day! The homemade food was delicious. The theme was on point! So clean quiet and lovely. Will be returning on our next trip to the Tampa area! Recommend for anyone wanting a little time to relax.

My husband and I stayed at the Strawberry House for the 1st time this weekend and we have nothing but good things to say. The house was so clean and charming. Maria is just precious! So friendly and welcoming! Made us feel right at "home". We stayed in the "Strawberry Room". The accommodations were very nice. Maria prepared a yummy breakfast and was very pleasant to visit with. Definitely will stay here again!

Adorable, quaint, original home. Every room is so unique. Extremely friendly service. Wonderful breakfast. Close to many popular places in Plant City. 10 min from Keel & Curley Winery.

With the complete collapse of the hospitality industry in Florida over March break (3 stars and less are unfit for human habitation while 4 stars and more are abusively over priced) we opted out of that mess and found this gem. Quaint, clean, warm and welcoming, this affordable accomodation shines under Maria's capable hands. Breakfast was tasty, plentiful and enjoyable ... no powdered donut and instant coffee here! Ask about their theme rooms ...

Clean! Maria is a 5 star. Comfy. The 4 on location is because it's in Plant City but it was easy to get to. Ample parking. And close to interstate 4 is a plus. Not too far from Tampa. Did I say Maria is a 5 star... ok 6 star on a 5 scale.

After a small scheduling conflict, Carol went more than above and beyond to be accommodating. If there was a way to leave a ten-star review, we would. Great stay with great people, we will definitely be back. Top notch hospitality!!!

Great place to stay with many special touches. The owner Carol was very helpful and Maria the hostess is what made my stay the best! She is incredibly thoughtful. Itโ€™s like coming to your favorite Aunts home and being spoiled! :)

Maria was extremely kind and loving, it was as if we were visiting family we didnโ€™t know we had! Our two girls enjoyed looking at all the trinkets scattered throughout. We are already looking to booking our next stay!

A peach amongst the strawberries My wife and I stayed at the Strawberry House Bed & Breakfast in Plant City. The downtown area is small and quiet. It has antique shops and a few historical sites worth visiting but thatโ€™s about it. The exterior of bed & breakfast itself appeared to need some repairs but that didnโ€™t take away from its charm. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hostess Maria. Maria is a very sweet and amiable person. She was very helpful, and immediately made us feel as if we were at home. Maria went over and above when she learned it was our anniversary she gave us a bottle of wine. The themed interior of the bed & breakfast was clean and the room we stayed in was nice. We slept well. The following day we had a delicious breakfast prepared by Maria. We had an amazing conversation with Maria and she showed us the property and garden area (very beautiful). She even gave my wife some green tomatoes. We made a new friend and look forward to returning to this hidden little piece of relaxation in the near future.
