I had been certified back in the late 80s. Obviously, things change and I needed to be recertified. I looked around the Tampa Saint Pete area and Lett’s jumped out as a quality shop. I visited a couple of shops in the area, and the people at Letts were so accommodating and helpful and knowledgeable that the decision was easy. Given the timing of my trip and some other issues with work I opted for the private lesson. Brian was my instructor. Work got in the way and Brian remain flexible through every delay we suffered. Approved by my doctor to get in the pool and start the work. That left a very little time for the instruction. Brian accommodated my every request and we set up a timetable and work schedule that works for me. I was a little concerned about the compressed times scale, and whether I would be able to complete the certification in time for my trip. my concerns were not well-founded. Brian is a great instructor. His discussion of the skills to be tested as well as his ability to help me understand what I needed to do was excellent. when I made a mistake, he gently corrected the mistake and made sure I understood what I had done wrong. He would then have me do the skill again until I got it right. He was definitely concerned with my safety and that I understood the skills. Again, given the compressed time schedule, and my previously booked trip, we had to do the dives rather quickly and again Brian stepped up to the plate and worked around my schedule even meeting me at Hudson’s Grotto on a very cold day for the last dive. Brian made sure that I understood every aspect of diving from the planning, to the outfitting, to the actual swimming, and finally logging. I have no doubt that I will be diving with Brian and Letts again. I strongly recommend this shop for its friendly knowledgeable people.

What a great learning experience - Jeremy and Stella make great instructors. The small group provided more personalized attention, leading to a greater level of comfort underwater.

My daughter and I had a list of dive certification shops to visit to see which was the best fit. Letts dive was the first we walked into. Needless to say it was the last and only. Upfront, honest, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable! We knew we would be in good hands learning how to dive. We found our shop but more importantly we found our dive family.

I got PADI certified through Letts Dive. This is the most professional, knowledgeable, caring group of people I have had the pleasure to get to know. They made the experience enjoyable (even when my nerves kicked in) and assured the class they could do this. While the weekend of the open dive was long and cold John and Paige (my instructors) never showed anything but patience and kindness to us. Jeremey, Stella, and Rodney ( the instructors for our other group) were just as welcoming and knowledgeable and offered help when our group had some hardships come about. These guys are the real deal, I would do it all over again I’m a second !! Can’t wait to dive and further my PADI certifications!! Thanks Letts Dive!😀 🤿 🐠

Lett’s Dive is a great experience for anyone interested in getting into scuba diving or even experienced divers that want to take their diving to a new level. They offer an experience for just about anyone! I just got my first open water scuba certifications with my two teenagers and we had a great time and are so excited to explore our underwater worlds! Thank you to Brian and Jeremy, our instructors for our open water course and for a fantastic experience!

Got my open water certification through Lett's Dive and I have nothing but good things to say. I was a little nervous about doing this but have been wanting to for so long and they made me feel so comfortable and were so patient with you as well! They explain everything so well, you will be more than ready for each dive. I highly recommend using them if you are hesitant on getting your certification. Also shoutout to Joe for being my scuba buddy since my scuba buddy got sick and couldn't dive! Side Note: the sunrises in Lake Denton where you complete your open water dove are BEAUTIFUL!! made getting up even easier.

I could not be happier with my experience with Let's Dive. Captain Joe was very organized, thorough, and super positive and encouraging. I loved going to Lake Denton because my boyfriend and I were able to make a little trip out of it. They had a tent set up with a BBQ which made for a comfortable and fun time even when we got some weather. Adam was our instructor at the Lake and he was very patient and extremely knowledgable so I felt like I was in good hands and very taken care of. Joe and Adam really go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and I am so glad I went with Let's Dive for my PADI open dive certification.

My daughter and I did a referral dive here to finish up our PADI Open Water certification. We were welcomed into the Letts Dive family immediately and I was so pleased to see how organized and efficient everyone was; it was clear they wanted to make this a great experience for us. My daughter had trouble with her ears on the second dive and we had to surface before completing all of the tasks, but our instructor John made sure we were taken care of the next day and gave us tips to help her out and made sure to accommodate her with a slower descent. They really went above and beyond for us to make sure we were safe and that we could also complete the required tasks. Thank you John and Paige for being so patient and so supportive!

I took the open water diver course with Jeremy and Stella and they were so amazing throughout the entire process! They were very clear communicators and explained everything very well so I felt comfortable and ready in the water. Very nice and easy to talk to as well. I have nothing but good things to say!

Letts Dive is an amazing place to learn to dive! Their instructors have many years of experience and are very knowledgeable. John, Walter, Jeremy and Stella were all a pleasure to work with and learn from. I’m looking forward to continue this journey and I will definitely be back to continue my dive education and to gain experience!!!

My fiance and I just finished our open water certifications with Lett's Dive and couldn't be happier! You can tell that all of the staff are committed to being welcoming and inclusive, no matter your level or experience. Captain Joe helped us pick out our gear on day one. He was extremely knowledgeable and it was clear that his main priority was to aid us in picking out gear that was most suitable for our needs. We did our classroom sessions with John and Walter, who were both incredibly knowledgeable and provided clear instruction. We then went to the lake and were instructed by Jeremy and Stella and they were fantastic! During the entire experience, everyone was patient, understanding, encouraging, and incredibly helpful. When struggling, our instructors would take the time to help us figure out what was going wrong and encourage us to continue practicing the skill until we could figure it out. We had the best lake dive with Jeremy and Stella to round out the class and could not recommend Lett's Dive more!

Jeremy and Stella make a fantastic team. With Jeremy's instruction and Stella's support, I was able to successfully complete my Advanced Open Water training in Key Largo. They were knowledgable, personable, professional and prepared - willing to answer and questions and giving constructive feedback. We had a last minute change in dive sites beyond Jeremy's control and he pivoted calmly and with ease! Would highly recommend diving with Letts Dive, Jeremy and Stella.
