First time visiting Taste of Peru, we had a Good experience, we waited about 20 minutes for our food, what is normal when your food is freshly made. Each plate was tasty. The pollo saltado a lo pobre is super good, and the chocolate cake is amazing. Recommended it.

First time eating here, and was very pleased with the atmosphere, food quality and service. The food had so much flavor making it so delicious, service was fast and on point and the setting was romantic, a nice dark setting with music playing. We went on a Saturday around 7pm and was not busy. The location sucks for them. Because with how great of experience we had I felt they needed to be well seen. GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY !!!! MUY BUENO !

Pretty good. I went today to this peruvian restaurant with my family for my hubby's birthday. Ana and Pili were very friendly. We ordered 2 Ceviche de Pescado, quantity was generous and flavor was delicious, we also ordered chicken tenders with french fries for my daughters, they both liked it. Very good restaurant, recommended 100%

I encourage you to visit this place. Its small and cozy. Good for families. Staff was very nice and attentive. They have a broad menu which its a good thing from my point of view. I went with my husband , brother and sister in law and we all enjoyed our food. There is not one thing we did not like. We all left stuffed!!! We ate ceviche, chicken, steak, seafood. We wanted to try everything!!! They also have fair prices and generous portions. We would definitely visit this restaurant again.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST PLACE EVER!! All the seafood had this perfect thin breading and perfect crispiness. The fish was very tender and super moist. Even the clam was amazing and I’m not a fan of clam. The calamari was amazing . It was not chewy at all. It tasted super fresh and perfect crunch of the breading . Ummm yum. The meal cost me $25!!! I ate so good and had enough left over for any other meal. I will definitely return . My NEW FAVORITE PLACE. I’m a very happy girl ! Thank you Taste of Peru! You guys are amazing ! 💕

I love this place! You can count on really helpful, and friendly service. They have a large menu full of options. So feel free to ask your server for suggestions. This is a not a large space, but seats just enough. My go to is their Arroz con Mariscos (seafood rice), but I also love their Chaufa Arroz (Asian flavor rice). I am super picky when it comes to eating rice, but there is something about Peruvian rice dishes that I cannot describe. Absolutely fantastic, please just try for yourself. Also, their ceviche is full of flavor perfection, and is a large portion. Oh yeah, can't forget about the Causa, if you like potatoes, room temperature or cold, a Causa dish may possibly blow your mind. Another Peruvian creation full of unexpected flavors. Overall, I highly recommend Taste of Peru. Their quality of food and generous portions are outstanding. Such a wonderful local restaurant to support.

The food here at Taste of Peru was amazing. We ordered the jalea (seafood mix) and yucca fries as appetizers. The hot sauce that they provided was top tier. The traditional Peruvian beef dish was great along with the fried rice. The service here was very friendly and answered all our questions. The chicha morada is a sweet drink made of corn. Although it tasted amazing, it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Would definitely visit here again.

If you are in this restaurant just try fried sea food. That tasted good. Other than that go away. Not fresh at all. Not even fries or chicken. It was awful and sent me right to the toilet. The good reviews are because they trade that with a dessert (a chocolate cake). I felt very disappointed on going there and expecting Peruvian DELICIOUS AND FRESH food to find out it all tasted old like staying in their fridge for ever. Even after complaining about the ugly taste they will just answer HOW WEIRD EVERYTHING IS FRESH HERE and done. Pff. Seriously go to somewhere else.

I have never had Peruvian Cuisine before, but I expected it would be like most Latin foods, which I love. But it was SO MUCH MORE! The food combinations were unique, and they had their own incredible & distinctive flavors. It was all OUTSTANDING!!! Every one was impressed. We will definitely be back!

I love this place 100%. The food was awesome, especially the calamari. The food took about 15 minutes to make, which is very fast for fresh food. The only thing is that the drinks cost a lot and they add a tip without letting you know. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are on a high budget

A Flavorful Experience with Some Service Hiccups I recently dined at Taste of Peru and enjoyed a diverse selection of dishes. The Cheoon Pescado and Churrascaribe were delicious, with the fish bites impressively crispy yet tender. The Aji de Gallina showcased well-cooked chicken, and the Ceviche Pescado, though a bit sour despite requesting spice, was fresh. However, the imposed 17% tip on the bill left a sour taste. While I appreciate good service, having a tip automatically added felt off-putting. Had I been aware of this, I would have chosen a different restaurant. None of the reviews I had read previously mentioned this practice. Consider yourself warned. The small space and decent service contributed to a mixed experience. Nevertheless, the flavorful dishes might outweigh the inconvenience for some.

We were recommended by a co-worker to go here. All of my experiences coming here have always been given true and fresh dishes from Peru. The dishes they are out of ( obviously because it’s popular) the waitress makes up for it with her recommendation. Exceptional food, the only place I go to in Orlando.

(Translated by Google) My family and I wanted to eat Peruvian food and it was horrible for us. I ordered Milanesa with rice and potatoes and the potatoes were burned and the oil was not filtered, we also ordered rice with beans and dry meat (masacotes rice, saved beans and the meat with a lot of seasoning). We also ordered chuafa seafood rice but it had been cooked with stale oil, the green noodles were soup in green sauce, the ceviche without flavor and bitter lemon, and the worst thing of the night was mine, a saltado loin fell ill, I had diarrhea from 2 days, and I had medical expenses ....... DON'T GO !!!!

I was in town from Tampa and I came several 7+ years ago to this restaurant which I remember being good . However the experience I had for lunch service today was terrible. I am 100% Peruvian and know/ make these dishes. The food and service were terrible. The causa de pollo seemed to be from several days ago. It’s a tiny tiny serving which I took 2 bites from. My girlfriend had papa la huancaina and didnt taste authentic. More like it has been there from several days in the fridge and we are going to serve it you. Manager said I had to pay 50% since I ate half. Mind you I ate two bites and my girlfriend ate one potato slice out of the 5 tiny sliced pieces of potato. It’s definitely a kiddie size appetizer. The teenage boy waiter didn’t ask us how the food was. We were gonna order more food. Good thing we didn’t. He handed us the check and walked back. I’m like hold on we didn’t like the food. He says I’ll go get the manager. Manager comes we tell her, tells me about the charge and says no one has complained about that dish. She told the chef and she herself tasted it. I asked her myself if she was Peruvian. I am very disappointed, will not be going back there again. I should have walked out and just paid for my soda in cash. I’m not a person that gets into it with another and said no I’m not paying for this food. I paid my 50% charge cause apparently we ate half of the food. After we left I called my credit card company to take off the charge which is taken care of. Better food in Tampa for sure. My hotel was south closer to home and I traveled out of my way north to come to this restaurant, not worth it. Worst of all, I came with my partner who I have been telling to try Peruvian cuisine and this was a bad experience.

Pesimo lugar!

  • 3/5 Randy A. 1 year ago on Google
Mostly decently authentic Peruvian cuisine presented well… but relatively bland in taste, unfortunately. This review is based partly on my Peruvian wife’s assessment and partly my own experiences at other restaurants. The food wasn’t bad, but the experience overall wasn’t great - it was insanely cold in the restaurant so we had to eat with our winter jackets on and obviously our warm dishes were cold within minutes. The stockroom had boxes spilling out onto the floor, along with some cables/wires. There were also scenes of Turkey playing on the TVs with non-Peruvian random pop music.
