If I could give 0 stars I would!! I do not recommend USF Health on Palm River Road to no one. After the front desk rep completely wasted my time to explain why she felt my appointment wouldnā€™t be covered, I was refused care by my physician. I was advised I would need to reschedule my appointment, however as we know scheduling with USF is like pulling teeth. The appointment times are always stressful and not accommodating to your schedule especially if you work. I do not recommend this office at all. I will be moving my care to someone else who actually cares about their patients and not the patients finances.

Definitely feel like my symptoms or concerns wasnā€™t heard or taken serious. Everyone in there was very nonchalant and seem like they didnā€™t really want to help. After hearing all of the horror story of black women not receiving the same level of concern or care as white women, I never thought it would happen to me. But it definitely felt like I experienced that going to this hospital. Very disappointing. Nothing was actually done and I still paid to sit in the bed for 2hrs

Hard to find anyone at this Pharmacy that cares about the patient. The staff does not live up to what they say. They NEVER provide followup. You have to always call and ask for an update. They NEVER contact you when script is ready. They often make mistakes. Surprising that they are paid for the job they do. Company must not require competence, only warm body. To many other choices out there to waste your time with this Pharmacy. On top of all of their mistakes, they will NOT ever simply say sorry.

I was scheduled to have a ultrasound at 10:45 AM. I was advised I needed to drink 32 ounces of water an hour before my appointment to assure my kidney and bladder would be full. Despite having someone call to the back 35 minutes after my 10:45 check-in time at 11:40 AM I broke down and finally went to the restroom. I will not reschedul at this facility. They donā€™t care about their schedule or patients. They canā€™t tell me every ultrasound tech in the building had an emergency and every ultrasound machine in this building was busy for over an hour without even coming out to say someone would be out soon. Addendum 1 - Thank you for your response but with no name, department, or extension provided I doubt it is a sincere attempt to learn from my experience at your facility!

Dr. Jack Chandler McGeachy seems to have no sense of urgency or care for his patients. I had the worst experience with him. Heā€™s not a thorough doctor. He does not explain things well. And his body language speaks volumes as well. His tone is very nonchalant as if he wish he was doing other things besides helping save lives!!!! I saw him twice within two days and he basically was trying to change his story from what he told me from the day1 when I did a follow up in a different doctor was trying to tell me something else. He tried to side with the other doctor which contradicted everything he told me on day 1. I do not ever recommend him to any patients. If you do not want to be a doctor then simply hand your license over. But do not mistreat patients, and disregard their health concerns and give half care. That is TERRIBLE. Iā€™ve never done reviews on doctors but I will start from this day forward. ALL patients deserve EXCELLENT care.

Great service. I had to do lab work and it is on a walk-in basis. The lab is located on the first floor. You enter all your information in the iPads provided, you sit down and they call you to get your paperwork. After a few minutes they get you in to get your blood samples and done. The process was fast and the staff was friendly.

My boyfriend came to you by ambulance this morning. Lethargic, and the paramedics were told of his sugar fluctuating, dehydration, as well as other signs pertaining to his condition. He stayed with you a couple of hours, one IV bag, a prescription and released. Told to drink more water and take the script. He got worse upon getting home. We took him to St Joseph's South tonight and he was diagnosed with DIABETIC KETOACIDOSIS. He could have died tonight. Never going here again and will not recommend to anyone.

Nobody at reception desk for directions. The young woman who was apparently the only person who could provide me a disk with copies of my x-rays, returned from a break after I waited for her and was extremely rude. People that work to service the public need to know how to be pleasant.

They put you in a room where they do a lot of tests not related to the reason for the visit since we went because my husband has covid, shingle, and lung cancer, there was never any medical questioning, they never explain what or why they do tests, NOT THE RESULTS. At the end after 6 hour without eating anything and asking several time when will be released;the nurse gives you a 40-page pamphlet where it says that the cause of the visit is eye pain, I don't know where they got that from ;because I always expressed my concern about my husband and covid, there was never an explanation related to covid or shingle OR prescription, just buy an oxygen pressure gauge, don't even take a tylenol if you have a headache. Just a 40-SHEET pamphlet, I feel used, put in a room for hours just to charge you and then go home with no answers about your status.

Asked for a physical referral to send for an othro surgeon was told no. Previous visit was told of the meds don't work come back and I'd be given something stronger. Bold face lie. Wasted my entire morning waiting for absolutely no help and still in a massive amount of pain. Great way to show you care. This hospital has be getting worse for the day

I would go to Brandon HCA or St Joeā€™s South before this ER. Horrible patient flow. First nurse, then PA, then they pulled blood ā€œin the lobbyā€ behind privacy screens, then another wait for EKG. 3 hours wait time, but it gets worse. In the end when my coworker finally went back to a bay, they asked me to leave the ER lobby and I was the only person in it. Iā€™m a healthcare executive. I can promise I know patient and customer experience. TGH would and should be embarrassed by the way this facility operates, at least today. Terrible experience. Go elsewhere if you have any choice. Shameful.

I went to TGH Freestanding ER this morning around 5am with severe allergic reaction. I had hives, severe lip and face swelling, and was very uncomfortable. I have had these types of reactions my whole life, so I know exactly how they need to be handled. I was taken right back to triage for vitals. The nurse working kept saying ā€œitā€™s going to be a waitā€ and he asked his questions, I told him that this happens to me often and that Iā€™ve had to receive epinephrine in the past to handle the reaction. I told him Iā€™ve never had to do it with a epipen, but had to get it once I was already at the hospital. He then asked if Iā€™ve ever been intubated due to an allergic reaction. I said no. He told me to go wait in the waiting room. As I stood up, I asked how long he means by ā€œitā€™s going to be a waitā€. He proceeds to tell me that it will be about two hours, because there are no beds in the back. At this point, my throat isnā€™t swollen, but my lips are so swollen they feel like theyā€™re covering the nares of my nose and I canā€™t breathe. I have never in my life when presenting with this severe of a reaction had to wait in a waiting room. I could have been at the point of needling intubation without the meds as I waited for two hours. It was absolutely ridiculous. One of the first things you learned in nursing school is the ABCā€™s of nursing and how to prioritize patient care. A=airway and mine was compromised. I should have never been sent to a waiting room. I immediately left and went to another near by hospital where they recognized the severity immediately, took me back, and started and IV for the meds all within the first 15 minutes of being there. Even if there were no beds (which I do not believe with an empty parking lot and empty waiting room), set me in a chair, start an IV, and push the rescue meds. I think the triage nurse needs some additional education. That could have cost my life. Thankfully I was aware enough of the situation to realize how emergent the situation was and went somewhere else who helped me right away.

Brought my husband here this morning at 4:00, for an awful cough and shortness of breath. They never took his temperature, never looked in his throat, nose or ears. They gave him a Tesla pearl cough suppressant and told him to follow up with his primary care. Not to mention we were there for almost 5 hours. Never again will we go back there and I wouldnā€™t recommend to anyone!

ER wait time overnight is the worst. I came in at 9pm .. it is 1:35pm and I am still waiting for X-ray results in the waiting room. Iā€™ve never experienced this at a ER. I know there is a nationwide staff shortage but they will need to learn how to adapt. I am sitting next to people in pain who have been waiting longer than. Me.

went to see a cardiologist, as ordered by an emergency room physician, they scheduled my appointment for me, sent the cardiologist all of my records, come to my appointment, pay a copay, to see the cardiologist for literally 5 minutes for her to tell me i have to schedule a separate appointment. so i basically paid to speak to someone for less than 5 minutes. amazing work, thanks for taking your patients needā€™s seriously and taking my money during trying times. real good look for tampa general.

This place is nothing compared to what it was before when they opened . The 1 nurse who took care of me was so sloppy with everything they poked me 4 times and left my arms black n blue the morning bed needle around like digging for my vein and it hurted. They smacked my veins also just horrible. Nurses and everyone just hang around the halls laughing and talking about there personal live while patients sit sick in there beds . No caring at all with there patients and everyone is lost I literally thought I was so n a foreign country. Itā€™s unacceptable!!

I was putting this review off in the hopes they would realize what they did was not only.. not ok, but would acknowledge the risk they put my child in. I took my 18 month old in for a possible concussion 3 months ago. She had been violently vomiting before we went in, which also meant she had no food or water in her system when we arrived. They waited over 3 hours before a Dr came to assess her. The only reason the dr came at that time was because I threatened to leave. Overall, we spent 6 hours in the ER with a baby where they didnā€™t even make an attempt to check her hydration during our visit, or speak to us about that before we left.(we left at 10 pm after arriving at 4) They only did a CT scan and checked for the flu and just said to watch for any other symptoms. Despite us doing our part and giving her water as soon as we couldā€¦ The next morning, she was lethargic. We rushed her to St Josephā€™s where they diagnosed her with lethargy caused by dehydration and a hypoglycemic attack. (Within 5 min of arriving) The dr there said it could have been prevented and going as long as she did without food or water due to her vomiting was the obvious cause. Afterwards, when we reached out to voice our frustration about balls dropped and lack of communication. This lack of communication continued with their team. The only way I got updates was when I called and left messages, even when their ā€œtimelinesā€ passed. They refused to take any ownership despite evidence on my part that they dropped the ball several times and put a babyā€™s life at risk. Even now, as a decision was reached, instead of being talked to to explain the decision, itā€™s just generalized emails and letters in a mailbox. I loved the actual hospital TGH when I delivered my baby, but the way they handled thisā€¦ please donā€™t take any child to this healthplex. Itā€™s not worth it. I couldā€™ve lost my child had I not listened to my gut and gone somewhere else after the fact. That will live with me forever. Itā€™s a lesson I hope no one else has to learn. For the future, hiding behind letters isnā€™t the answer. If you want to build ā€œpatient relationsā€ communicate. Make actual efforts.. Iā€™ve been in customer service positions before, this wouldā€™ve never flown in even the most basic position I had. Even the higher ups wouldnā€™t accept a dialogue. ***** Reply to management- Iā€™ve tried to reach out to discuss things. No one has gotten back to me minus generalized letters. You have my number and email at this point, if anyone wants to have a conversation with me, Iā€™m still here. Itā€™s been since April since Iā€™ve had a real conversation with anyone. I called today, I was told yet another letter is in the mail for me. No discussion.

They love your co-pay but forget about the doctor? PA? Knowing anything about your case. $900 to walk in and rhe only advice we got was, oh Iā€™m sorry we receive, nothing. The doctor did not seem to know anything about athletic fractures, bruises or bone spurs. Then itā€™s to the portal for access to the X-ray. Very disappointed. We brought a teenager in. Accessing portals are a nightmare when the patient is a minor. TGH use to be the best in town.

I visited TGH on 12/06/2023 and I do not recommend it at all. When I arrived I was immediately sent to a room and now one showed up until I went to bathroom. A nurse gave me a urine cup, that was never used. After an hour they did a swap and then no one came to the room until few hours later that I called to see a doctor or if I could go home. I was never treated , no medication, no asthma treatments neither an IV. I was just given a prescription and thatā€™s was all. I am not happy with the service I received and on top of that they are charging me almost $3000 for the visit. Please make sure you treat the patient well before you charge them.

I been in the wait room for 3 hours and not been triaged. I had 3 people come in after me get triage 1 went to back already and I'm in severe pain. Then you ask heavy set black man*CHARLES" to help his response I just got here. WTH no compassion or etiquette. My sister then called to get wait time Charles answered and said they don't have one and didn't allow her to ask additional questions and hung up. Please get rid of him. I been waiting since 11:30 it's now 3am

Do not go to this hospital. They do not listen to their patient. They say my wife had covit and they was preparing her for surgery even after she told them she had a allergic reaction to some medication. She is listed as a donor. People are worth more dead than alive. This is just recent. 8/29/23. SCARY...

I always have a good experience when I come here but tonight succeeded my expectations entirely. My son had a terrible nose bleed and they had to draw some blood to check his platelets. Heā€™s six and scared of needles but this experience, though still painful, was really the best for him. The nurses treated him with so much kindness and compassion. They asked him questions to keep him engaged and after rewarded him with these gifts for his bravery. Thank you so much to the staff. We went home so happy.

I went to the physical therapy section of the Plex and I cancelled the therapy after the second section because since day one I noticed that the staff is very cold, unfriendly and no empathy towards the patient. They tell you the exercise that you need to do and leave to go chat and talk stuff about the patients with the other staff members.

Iā€™ll probably never go anywhere else honestly. Iā€™ve never experienced such amazing bed side manner! Ms. Debbie was absolutely God sent! She was honest, she talked me through everything, she was caring & compassionate! I could tell she cared about my comfort and pain. Everyone from the security to the triage ladies, the nurses, X-ray techs, the doctors were amazing. I couldnā€™t thank the team enough!!

Went in for the worst headache of my life. I was told by a pharmacist that since this pain was unlike any headache I had experienced before, and that the pain was unbearable, I should go to the hospital. I came in at about midnight, there was no one in the waiting room, and I was taken back fairly quickly. I hadnā€™t been in the room long when a paramedic came in and started taking my vitals. The paramedic was one of a kind, very friendly and had such a good sense of humor that really put me at ease. He was able to make me smile and forget about the pain for a little bit. Before he was done, the dr and the nurse came in right away, and listened intently to me and gave me some different options, letting me know which ones they advised according to my symptoms. I chose some pain medication that they said had a 95% success rate when it came to migraines like I had. I was given the medication through my IV very quickly and the nurse was very knowledgeable about everything, and while giving me each medication he made sure to explain it to me in detail without me having to ask. The dr came back to check on me several times. They also turned the light off for me and asked each time if it was ok for it to be turned back on, before they did so without me even mentioning light sensitivity. Iā€™ve had bad experiences at hospitals in the past. Hours in the waiting room, taking forever to be seen by a dr, and unanswered questions, but TGH healthplex was on top of it the entire time. I was amazed that I didnā€™t have to wait for anything, except for waiting to see if the medication they gave me worked before I was sent home. I felt in charge of my care the whole time as they allowed me to choose if I wanted to start with medication or try something else. The dr also knew exactly what to do, and discussed medical studies that proves the effectiveness of the medication before I made my decision. I am feeling much better. My pain went from a 10-3 and based on what I told them they determined it wasnā€™t anything serious. Since I had no other symptoms they were able to rule out several possible causes and told me if I chose to leave I could, or they could perform a scan of my brain, if I felt more comfortable doing so, but they did not consider it necessary based on what they had been able to rule out. I decided I felt good enough to go home and they provided me with several neurologistā€™s information, so I could follow up, and get the scan at a later time if I choose to. Very happy with my experience.

The Second time I've come in I brought my mom bleeding from her finger and they took it to the back and they never wrapped it up she's been breathing all over the place because at least wrapped it up being that's cross-contamination to the whole waiting room they don't know if she has some kind of blood disease but they just don't care here.. Putting all the other patients at risk..... Nurses don't want to do any job you need to get rid of them it's putting everybody else health at jeopardy....

I took my 90 y/o father for a biopsy this morning at this facility with Dr. Padron. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile, spoken to like we were family members and felt comfortable. The surgical suites were clean and bright and the nursing staff were top notch! Shout out to Denice,Shana and Roni?(beautiful ja nurse). Ofcourse ,the drs were amazing also. Everything was so organized and done well. Thank you for your care and professionalism.

This was my first time visit to this medical location and after a long search and reading reviews, I was extremely happy and highly satisfied with this center. From the moment I arrived at the parking lot, a lot of space and organized. Extremely clean and courteous people since I arrived. I just do not understand negative comments about this center, I am very particular when choosing medical center and this center is for sure a great choice. Despite reading those negative reviews, I took the chance to visit the location and it did not disappoint. Welcoming staff, short time waiting and Erin Jones APRN and her assistant were highly professional and caring about me. I will definitely go back to this medical location without a doubt and for those looking for all medical attention this center provides, do not hesitate to chose it as your primary center for medical assistance. Highly recommended!! Thank you TGH Brandon Healthplex/ USFH

They did not listen to reason for my visit, I was told why I was there and nurse was completely wrong. My records are now wrong and inconsistent, they even listed my medications wrong, assuming I filled the last rx they prescribed me, so they went off previous visits and didnā€™t confirm my info before documentation.

I give them a 4 because of the staff everyone was really nice, caring and helpful. We'd been waiting awhile and my 9 year old was in pain even though he hadn't seen the doctor the nurse spoke with him in between patients I assume to get him meds. The doctor did explained they were short staffed so I appreciate that. However, having a kid who's tired and not feeling doesn't make it any easier. We appreciate the service and a job well done. Thank you

The worst experience that I ever had at this complex. I will NERVER go there again. The staff has ZERO EMPATHY! Remember that medical care is a BUSINESS. They don't care about the people that need help. IT"S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY! Get then in, get the money. And get them out ASAP! PLUS! EVERYONE THAT WORKS THERE LOOKS LIKE THEY ABSOLUTELY HATE THEIR JOBS AND HATE HAVING TO BE THERE!!

I have never in my life been so disappointed in a hospital in my entire life. I had a colonoscopy scheduled for may 4th, was supposed to get a covid test beforehand and they didnā€™t even give me any notice on what day I was supposed to have it, so i decided to call. From what the staff told me, I was apparently on ā€œstand byā€ which meant that my appointment wasnā€™t booked or sent over and it was a ā€œmaybeā€ on whether or not my procedure was going to be done in a few days when keep in mind, Iā€™ve had this appointment for over a month now to get it done. Then, after they had just told me my procedure was on stand by, they then proceeded to tell me that they had to reschedule my appointment for JULY instead of may because they put people before me and the hospital was understaffed. If you knew the hospital was understaffed, why would you book me at that time and why would you not tell me that at least a week before my procedure? I will never go here again and I donā€™t recommend this inconsiderate place or doctor to anyone that needs any kind of care. I sincerely hope this place goes out of business for the lack of communication and disrespect they have for patients. (I would give zero stars if it was an option)

Nothing emergent here. The wait time is astonishing. I have been to the health complex twice and ER once at hospital. Each time is worse.

  • 5/5 Jasmin W. 2 years ago on Google
It was a long wait in the main lobby but COVID is real so I patiently waited for a few hours. Sounds awful but once I was able to be seen they were very apologetic for the wait and the staff was amazing and efficient. I watched as the front desk personnel dealt with impatient patients but they remained calm and professional throughout it all. Once they took me back they even went on to explain that they had to deal with the emergency cases first that were life and death before they can get to myself and the other persons waiting to be seen. So that makes so much more sense with the wait. I would recommend this place for sure.

  • 5/5 Drew B. 2 years ago on Google
Was seen immediately for an emergency and the entire staff was friendly. The doctor was very professional and informative. Found answers to the issue and solutions to improve it as well. This interaction did not feel transactional, as they often do in these type of environments. Definitely recommend this ER over by TopGolf.

How can you stay 6 ft away from people if they sat all of us behind this curtain with an empty waiting room ... there's 4 of us behind this curtain ... suppose they have covid and I just have something else ... yet there's social distance stickers on the floor .. when I moved he told me to go sit back behind the curtain with 4 people...

This hospital doesnā€™t care to find out whatā€™s wrong with you and will send you home to die. This is the second time Iā€™ve come in here, and left with no diagnosis. I came in today pregnant with a sore throat and swollen tonsils and was told to drink water and wait for it to go away??? I might as well let my throat close and die right? I cannot believe the lack of compassion here I DONT KNOW WHY THEY ARE STILL OPEN BUT SOMEONE SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN BEFORE SOMEONE DIES!!!
