My mind has really changed about Zephyrhills Advent Hospital. I went to the ER last Friday following my doctor’s orders and was shocked at what horrible treatment I received. I went there because I could not get and keep my oxygen level up and was told to wait for my turn, over 4 hours later I was still waiting still laboring to breathe and not one person checked on me this entire time. Finally I left and called my doctor back and she was shocked! Thank goodness I have a great caring doctor who is helping me at home and yes I tested positive for Covid-19 after staying clear of everyone, but somehow I contracted it. Thank goodness I am completely vaccinated. This is no laughing matter. I am so sad to think I needed help and was turned away and disregarded like unwanted trash.

I don't know what has happened there from the last 3yrs but it us God awful. My type one diabetic son has had a loss in vision in one of his eyes( which classified as emergency) he sat in the waiting room for 3hrs and was never even spoke to. He spoke with another young mad who had been there 6hrs......6hrs in the waiting room. While socializing seniors were being taken back immediately. My son has a life threatening disease and is constantly being treated like he has no matter or meaning for any medical establishment in the Zephyrhills area. We figure emergency room would be different. What a joke.....no insurance then screw off........

I am so disappointed in this hospital. The lack of communication and compassion from the medical team was astonishing. I sat in my fathers room for 2 hours and never once saw someone come in the room despite having asked if the nurse could come in. I completely understand being busy. But there is so much that can happen with a patient in two hours and it was very nerve wrecking as a family member to see that. The medical team did not provide any discharge education and failed to mention that my father was coming home with a catheter. When brought home, the catheter had feces around the insertion site that had clearly been sitting there awhile. So disappointed. I will never be back to this hospital but I hope to see improvement in the future.

I went to ER for chest pains. After five hours in the hallway I was put in a room. Then another three hours I was admitted and taken to the cardiac unit. The nurses there were super nice and kind. The first nurse I had in the ER was not kind at all . When I did get food it was cold and horrible! The Drs were all very good .

I gave Birth on 11/18 and i couldnt have dreamt of a better experience. Every single member of the staff was incredible from start to finish. I had The same rotation of 5 nurses the entire time i was Admitted for my induction and my decisions were never questioned and they never made me feel silly if i had Any questions. I would recommend giving birth here to anyone.

Absolutely the worst ER service I have seen in my years. Brought my wife in for a possible blood clot in her left calf following surgery. Her surgeon instructed us to come in to ER and we had to wait over 2 hours for them to see us. They put in an order for radiology and I don't understand how such a potentially high risk issue could be put off and not rushed. I'd rather drive 30 minutes out of the way to another ER than take the chance of something seriously happening. Came in at 930 am on a Tuesday, no reason for such a delay from an "EMERGENCY ROOM".

THIS PIECE OF TRASH PLACE IS THE WORST DECISION IVE EVER MADE!!! YOU CAN SEE HOW MUCH THEY REALLY DONT CARE BY THE RESPONSES THEY'RE GIVING PEOPLE AFTER EVERYONE IS HAVING BAD EXPERIENCES! YOU DONT CARE advent health of Zephyrhills!! My Dad and I took my mother, who was having flu like symptoms for a week that ended with her fainting and hitting her head on the floor. We finally convinced her she needed to get checked out so we decided on this place.. What a mistake! We waited 3 1/2 hours in the ER, then they finally got her back to see the Dr, just for him to say she has covid, no tests were done!!! He told her in 2- 3 weeks she Might feel better and just to take otc meds! This place is a crock! No stars from me!!!!!!!!!

It doesn't even deserve one star. I wouldn't bring a dog here. My husband waited 3 hours to be sign. One patient we talked to had been waiting 4. He came in for abdominal pain. A woman came and asked why I was here with him. I explained that he didn't tell anyone all the information of why he was here . She said she would send a nurse out to talk to me. So we waited. About 15 minutes later she sends a security guard to me and tells me to leave. I told her I was waiting for a nurse to talk to. She said they were too busy to talk to me and I needed to leave. So here I am outside it's like 52 degrees out and I'm not allowed in. Plus my husband already had one test done at a clinic I work at and every thing was normal. Theguy told me my husband needed to do it again because maybe my machine wasn't working right. They just want to run unnecessary test and run up a bill. I have no test in these people. I have had a bad experience with them before. Performing test that i had refused to agree to. ..

I was n the ER for many hours due to no beds Available. I totally understand that, I had wonderful Nurses through two shift changes but the overnight care tech was rude and patronizing me and talk to me in a very unprofessional way (Jayme) was her name. After I asked to see a Charge Nurse or Supervisor I could hear them them talking about me from the nurses station. I feel like was very unprofessional. I had worked in a very busy ICU unit also picked up shifts in the ER. I deeply respect Nurses and patient Techs, I don’t think they are given enough credit for all their hard work.

This hospital is AMAZING atmosphere. Dad in ICU •AdventHealth. Highly recommend to anyone if u have near u or loved one. Staff (top to bottom) prays for people, even talking to u in halls on break, smile, friendly, chaplain & intercessor team, Bible-themed, pictures of Jesus praying over doctors & patients everywhere, etc. Couldn't ask for better. "THIS is the way!"

I came in for a procedure and to continue my treatment plan. I have always had excellent experiences at AdventHealth Zephyrhills. Everyone that I came in contact with was friendly and compassionate. I felt a genuine connection with each person I met going through the process. I find Dr Lewis to be an excellent and exceptional physician and teacher... and all of the people that work in his office make an effort to help patients feel comfortable.

Letters about my explerience are being sent to the head of the hospital and rehab unit at Dade City, to the central OFFICES ADVENT HEALTHCARE, and others to discuss my treatment for ER, Hospital, Nursing, TCU, Physicians, and the Physical Therapy I received at Advent Healthcare in the Dade City, FL. Notice: I will maintain a copy of this as I overheard a conversation by administrators that negative comments posted are weeded out and never seen.

My 93 year old dad was recently on the Covid unit. He had excellent care. He is tall and very thin and wouldn’t stay positioned on his side. Nursing care was excellent in preventing a bedsore. The food was great. He just didn’t have much of an appetite. Valerie from case management was excellent communicating and updating family. PT was great. The only complaint I have is that ER receptionist put a note in computer that daughter was in waiting room in ER and that communication never went through. My father had been admitted and I was not informed and sat many hours unaware of what was transpiring.

My 96 year old grandmother just spent the last 5 days at this wonderful hospital. She had had several strokes. They couldn’t have been more friendly, attentive, caring & thorough. She kept saying that she had never been in a nicer hospital. (And being 96, she’s been in quite a few) you guys are amazing! Keep up the great work!

2/21/24 Had a follow up visit at the Simpson Breast Care Center today - went in feeling a little anxious - and left feeling totally care for. I am certain I could not be in better hands. The care team there is amazing - caring and through. They make sure you know they have your best interest at heart. They take their time to discuss and explain everything. Love you girls! Thank you so much! ❤️

This place is a joke!!! I was admitted and the nurse staff forgot to give me IV fluids so a nurse Laurie lied on the chart and said that I refused treatment which by the way was never offered because that’s an automatic thing done and they seemingly forgot to do their job!!! Dr. Abdul Wahab tried to get me to stay another night due to “potential kidney failure” which my levels were not in the stage of being considered acute kidney injury, confirmed by another nurse there and my general doctor from my followup. It was another way to make extra money for the hospital. If they were so concerned about kidney failure, why did I have to ask for IV fluids because I was dehydrated THE NEXT DAY?!…..when I finally got the fluids Rachelle (a snarky nurse there) made sure the drip was soooo slow that I would have to stay another night if I wanted the full bag to be administered. To top it all off the nurse Laurie was gossiping about me and my husband wanting another room for a bigger t.v. (which was brought to my attention by a staff member) when he simply asked if we were switching rooms because that is what we were told, due to the room we were in being a small, holding room. We never complained or even turned the on t.v. Never ever again with this circus. I could go on and on about that place but these are the main highlights of my one night, two day stay

My care at AdventHealth was exceptional. The nurses and techs all work very well together, and there seems to be a really good training program and a lot of encouragement for the younger people. The room was very clean - even the food was good. I would definitely be comfortable being treated at this facility.

I had a procedure done at the Advent Health hospital- outpatient. I found everyone to be very kind and caring. I was impressed with the efficiency of how I was prepared and ready for my EGD with Dr. Maduri. I felt that I was in excellent hands with staff, nurses & doctors. Thank you all your hard work & time all of you put in to make us healthy & safe. Respectfully, J. Becker

The physicians and nurses were wonderful! Very attentive, checked on me often, and responded quickly to any requests I had. Caregiver Dorian was great. He checked on me often and was very willing to help me with anything. I have spent time in a few hospitals at different times and this was by far my best experience. I give them 5+ stars.

I've always had wonderful experience with your hospital. Except last time when I went to get test done. The fat black lady that Drew my blood was not nice at all! When I spoke to her she never answered me not one time she was very rude too extreme. I do not know how she keeps a job in your hospital with all of the nice employees that you have.

I was a total "nay sayer" on this hospital. Everyone I've ever talked to thought this hospital was "junk"... I can't sing enough high praises for the care I received over the 8 days I was there. I walked in literally knocking on heaven's door, with no insurance, under weight, swelled up more than double my size and scared. (Ended up having a long ignored case of congested heart failure.) Again no insurance, scared, and in my own mind I could fix it myself. Doctors and nurses were quick to act, before I knew it things were happening at a lightening pace. All the time everyone making sure I was as comfortable as I could be, nobody being pushy, they were amazing at calming me down, and reassuring me I did need to be there, I wasn't stupid for coming in, or waiting, it was good I was there "now". They never made me feel like I was "less than", never made me feel judged. I joked and told my sister I felt like a millionaire with how everyone treated me. Every Doctor, Nurse,Tech, Transport, even the Food staff made me feel like I was their most important patient. Even when I felt it was silly I was still there. (I felt better, they said I wasn't well enough to leave, needed to fix a blood clot first). I was always informed as to what was happening and why. I was reassured that I had no stupid question. I felt like they truly wanted me to feel better, and good about everything. For hospital food, as much as I want to say it was gross, it was actually pretty delicious. (Of course I needed a salt packet, but only half a packet for most meals, some no salt, mostly it was for the real mashed potatoes) The after care, is just fantastic. Having no insurance, and having been sick for a good 6 months, I have no money for follow up care. They have solutions for that. They are truly here to help the Zephyrhills community. I still wouldn't bring my dog there, they aren't vets, but I would fully trust them to care for my husband or children if the need ever arises.

The best hospital care in the area. The nursing staff was always pleasant and professional, the doctors had stopped in to see me every day to ask how I felt and inquired how I was doing with the medication ordered also if there was anything more that they could do for me. How comforting that was.

The nurses on the 3rd floor (1st and 2nd shift ) were awesome. They were so kind and gentle. They were generally concerned about my dad, they would hold his hand, clean his face, make sure his teeth were clean and make sure his mouth wasn't dry. The head nurse male (can't remember his name) was so gentle and helpful with decisions no one wants to make for family. I have never in my 63 years experienced this compassion at a hospital. His doctors were awesome As I went by to place some daisy awards card in the box,I saw Dr. Patel and he remembered my dad. Not many doctors do that. We left for a hospice house . I would recommended a hospice house, because it is so quiet and peaceful.

I was terrified to go to another hospital as I have been dismissed with gastritis by every other doctor I was so terribly Ill and went in at 7am the Monday before last. While there had a seizure and staff were so quick and were there for me the whole time. Dr. Adellah was determined to figure out my stomach pain and symptoms and really listened to everything I said. He ended up having to have me undergo multiple surgeries and I have to say for having to endure what I did the nurses and the doctors were by far the best i have ever dealt with caring and compassionate. Neurologist very Involved and internal medicine doctor. The food is always sometimes scary and it was so so amazing and I truly mean it. The doctors took the time to explain everything and never once felt like they were rushing me and came to visit multiple times not just one and done. These Doctors truly saved my life and was diagnosed with a life threatening condition which I will be on medicine for the rest of my life but since they figured it out. It’s the first time in 7 years I feel normal. I can’t thank these angels enough. A truly Amazing Hospital and shout out to the PCU truly blessed by all of you.

This review is for Keisha Williams. It has always been a dream of mine to help others, I finally had the chance to help a family be complete with my first surrogacy journey. Everything came to a halt when I could not retrieve my medical records for my previous births, I was frustrated and felt defeated. Miss Williams took her time to help me in every way possible and assured me that she would do everything in her power to make sure I fulfilled my dream. Thanks to her efforts. I have completed my first surrogacy journey and it would not have been possible without her. She’s a valuable asset to AdventHealth.

Heather, the technician at Simpson Breast Center is a wonderful, respectful employee. Because I have breast implants, the process of imaging is sometimes a little uncomfortable. She is the kindest, most careful, professional technician I've ever had the good fortune to experience. Keep up the good work. P.S. the front desk receptionists are delightful, friendly, informative, and hilarious. Just as great as everything else at Advent.

Admitting is great. Procedure room staff great! Nursing on the floor while in a room terrible! They want to run every test amaginabl even when you are just waiting to be transferred to another hospital. Knowing they will rerun the same test again! All a scam to drain every dollar out of you they can? 6 other friends and family have had same experience.

I was a patient in the emergency room and later observation unit. I have worked in the medical field in many different states as well as being a patient in them. I watched from my stretcher before they could get an empty room to be examined. I watched the staff while they worked......I NEVER saw workers who showed such good infection control techniques and EVERTYONE knocked on doors before entering patient rooms; All staff was courteous, caring, and displayed true professionalism...even down to supporting staff . I NEVER have seen such a clean hospital.. staff picked up after themselves, housekeeping emptied trash several times a shift. and used great infection control as well. I am one of Florida's many snowbirds and my mind is at ease knowing the caliber of this truly wonderful place. So, to other reviewers I would like to say..... quit your griping and appreciate this place!

Excellent medical treatment, fantastic customer service, and an overall feeling you are in great caring hands. Doctors, nurses, technicians, and the reception team are spot-on terrific! There must be a focused effort behind the scenes to make the customer experience as good as it is, because it shows. Thank you to everyone who was involved in the Ritterskamp treatment.🙏❤️

Last month I went in with a tight chest an high stomach pain. I actually told the person at the triage desk I thought I was having a heart attack. She very calmly told me I was next in line to be seen by the triage nurse. I was scared to death and knew beyond any doubt that I would never purposely come to this hospital for so much as a blister. Had I gone to Tampa General or St Joseph I would have been seen immediately. I wasn’t just disappointed, I was scared. Never again.

Thank you to Deborah and Cortney in Preop, Ryan and Annette in Surgery and Brian in Recovery. I did not get to meet the Surgery scrub person but Thank You,All! Well done I’m just fine now. Ps I forgot to mention thanks to my awesome surgeon, Doctor Lannon!

ICU staff was wonderful, the staff in the other unit not so much. I was home with Covid and my husband is very cognitively delayed and the communication between staff and myself was very minimal. I had no idea what was going on. And didn't even know he had been discharged back to the nursing facility for sure.

I had the best care at the Zephyrhills Wound Care Center. The staff, Sam, nurses Mary, Kim, Joe, Beth and Dr Nguyen took great care of me. My insurance was taking a long time to approve my wound care supplies and the office stepped in and helped me with some urgent needs. I will always be great full for the great care I received. The facility was close to home, very clean and never had to wait very long to be seen. Love that I can see all of my treatment info on the Advent Health online portal. They even added tips and videos for wound care wich was a big help caring for my wound at home. I had my last session this week and the Doctor rung the bell and I even got a T-Shirt. ♥️ Thank you for making me whole again! Sincerely, Maria

ER was very overwhelmed but yet I did get checked out and admitted and didn't have to wait too many hours to get a room but then I was having a heart attack so they made good judgments on priorities. Everyone was kind Pleasant helpful supportive except for the very last nurse that I had the day of my discharge and she acted like she hated every minute of her job but outside of her every single person that I encountered was awesome

Everyone treated me like a Queen! The admitting and transport folks were talking to me like I was a friend! The nurses are exceptional! They were kind and pleasant and yet professional. The Anesthesiologist was very nice and assuring. A Sweet young man came and put drugs in my IV and smiled so brightly. Then of course my doctor is the person who makes me feel like I'm the only person in the world that she cares about and I feel safe! The nurse in post-op made me think of her as a sister. It's so great when the person taking care of you makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside, instead of alone and afraid!

This place is a bad joke! I brought my husband to the ER with severe pain in his leg. We waited for 2 hours before being taken back to an examining room. The PA came and said they were going to do an x-ray which they did about an hour later. It is now 4 hours later (over 6 hours now) and the place is deserted. All of the other patients are gone and no staff members to be found! I went to the lobby and asked where everyone went and someone came back to check. He said that there were other staff members back here, however, that was 45 minutes ago and still noone can be found. This place is truly a BAD joke! Only, it isn't funny. If you need medical help, don't come here!!

I went in bc my newborn wasn’t eating. First thing we noticed was a nurse in the ER not sanitizing the room before we were called back, when a patient was already in there. Second thing was we waited 3 hours to be told that nothing is wrong. We asked basic questions and were told to go ask our pediatrician. Nurses also didn’t wear masks while holding my newborn even though it’s the height of RSV season, and they never wore gloves or washed their hands before touching him. A consultant was brought in to help me to breast feed even though that is not what we went in for and my newborn is quite capable of nursing. They didn’t take any of my concerns seriously and just told me he was fussy. They sent us home after 5 hours and with no instructions as to help. The doctor saw us once before the shift change and then the other doctor was just as not helpful as the last. I do not recommend this hospital to anyone. Update, he was having a bad reaction to his medication and was needing more extensive medical carw

You and your staff made my stay in your hospital a truly wonderful experience. Thank the nurses who helped me in 2133. Special thanks to the CNA’s especially Linda, Marci,Elizabeth V. You were so caring and fun. I never had to ask for anything. You were right there on top of everything. Water was always ready. I can’t thank all of you enough. 10 out of 10 experience.

I am onboarding for employee health, I had to have my labs drawn. I am a difficult stick and I drank as much water as I could, I prepared myself mentally to be stuck my routine 8 times before being sent away. Luis greeted me at the desk and I expressed that I need the best phlebotomist because I am a tough stick. He stated all the other phlebotomist are on the floors with patients and I sat and waited. He watched me stubbornly wait and after 5 minutes he asked if he could draw my blood and I was hesitant but he seemed very genuine and sincere. He promised he wouldn’t stick me unless he was 100% sure he would be able to do so successfully. With ONE poke on my terrible tiny little hand vein he was able to draw all six tubes needed. I didn’t even feel it! I will be asking for Luis for all of my labs from now on! He was very patient, kind and caring. He took care of me like I was his own family!
