Hot tub does not work correctly about 1/3 of the time. It will be out of service. A few weeks ago the hot tub chemicals bleached out my clothing in about 40 minutes. Pants used to be blue.. Upon reporting this to management, they did nothing but tell me about the malfunctioning heater waiting on service. Ants crawling on bathroom walls. Two weeks ago closed due to fire. Sister LA Fitness in Brandon shut down pool and hot tub.. Emailed several times with photos and called. Elise does not respond.

Don’t think about singing up for this gym or even getting a guest pass. Majority of the people who work at the front desk are quite nice and inviting except for the blonde chick(didn’t get her name cause her attitude was SO NASTY but I’m sure she is the OLDEST person working there)!! Her attitude and nasty facial expressions alone made me walk out and sign with another gym!! Not to mention every time I’m there as a guest she has an issue with other guests trying to sign in! Once I get her name I will update so no one else has the same issues!!

Great gym, just visiting it once at lunch time. Not crowded, plenty of equipment and all of the equipment I saw/used was clean and in good working order. Also try the Cappuccino-Peanut Butter and/or Strawberry smoothies, they are the most popular for a reason! #You'reWelcome!

Be very careful and read the contract before enrolling for a trainer it’s very tricky and will not be possible to end it before it’s due time. The person in charge will do his best to hide the total price minimum 4 months at 240.00 per month. I will NOT recommend this gym if you want to keep your money in your pocket.

This location hosts a mature crowd. I've visited during every period of the day except early mornings, and it's never too crowded, and most are cordial. The equipment needs some maintenance but overall clean location. Staff is usually welcoming. Usual complaint for this chain, no hip thrust equipment.

I love this gym. Staff is amazing. The gym is cleaner than 98% ive been to. The machines are always open. I feel very welcomed with my kids. I feel happy when I arrive and leave. Good rates. I pay about $33 a month. Money well spent. ❤️👏🏾

The gym is always clean. The staff is always helpful. Large enough for a lot of people to work out not be on top of each other. It doesn’t smell like sweat. The bathrooms are large. The stalls are separate from the dressing and locker area. The lockers are in the bathroom. They are and slinger. You are able to put your own lock on them. Access the sauna from the bathrooms. Men and women have separate saunas. You can wear swim wear or work out clothing. Hooks are outside the sauna. You access the pool and hot tub through the locker rooms. There is a smoothie place inside the gym. On both far ends of the gym they have floor mats so you can do floor work, stretching etc. Wooden floor room for yoga or other activities Racket ball courts Full basketball court (young people do play the court) Large artificial turf area for workouts TV’s through out the gym as well as music playing overhead The noise level is not bad. You all sorts of people from novices to the heavy lifters attending the gym. They provide anti-bacterial wipe stations to wipe down equipment.

Everything was good except the receptionist manager that sits up front she has no personality and ends only friendly with good-looking guys and nobody else

I frequent this gym often because I enjoy the benefits of using the sauna. The treadmills are outdated but I am still able to always get a good run 🏃🏾‍♀️ in. This morning during my visit the women area floors and sink area was filthy. The soap dispensers in the bathroom area rarely have soap, I always have to go to one or two sink’s before getting soap dispensed. If the Esporta staff ensured the areas were properly cleaned, I would have given an additional star. Although, I have disinfected wipes in my gym bag it’s not my responsibility to keep the gym equipment or seating areas cleaned; there is hired staff for that! Despite my complaints the staff is always friendly.

Someone needs to reattach the sink counter top back to the wall, if is falls on anyone's feet, it could cause serious injuries. 1-11-24, things are looking better. The sink counter got reattached by Shack the maintenance guy. The maintenance guy the works at 3pm is doing a great job also. I noticed him today dusting off the machines. I met the new manager, Diageo he asked me how i liked the gym, and i said i liked it, and things are getting better. He's a very upbeat guy, i like that. Nelson Butera 1-11-2024

Everything about the gym is great, great atmosphere, great variety of equipment, and professional helpful employees. You can get an amazing workout here. My only two complaints would be that the equipment is outdated and the cleanliness of the gym could be better.

Signed up for the premium so I could bring a buddy in to workout with me. I started my workout and my buddy arrived an hour after. I went outside to walk him in and get him signed in. The staffed advised you CANNOT start your workout before your guest arrives, you must come in at the same time. What kind of rule is that? Where does the contract state this!? I’m likely going to cancel this membership if they continue to harass me and my guest which I pay extra to have a guest.

Went in to redeem a membership voucher and nobody wanted to help. The manager who looked like a Karen said, “we don’t do membership vouchers” it was clear she didn’t even try and was there to collect a paycheck by signing people up based on commission. It even says it’s valid until 2025, with a code on it and everything. She simply handed the voucher back and said, “we don’t do voucher, yet I won it recently at a corporate event.

ZERO SERVICE AFTER THE SALE!!! After being signed up (the easy part) I was supposed to get some instructional information from the fitness coach. They did not only cancelled my initial consultation, they also cancelled the second consultation and via text and not even a week into the membership. Are you serious? Where is the service after the sale? I cancelled the membership and taking my business to another gym. ZERO SERVICE AFTER THE SALE!!!

Esporta is an excellent fitness center! It's well maintained and clean, especially in the locker rooms. The staff at the front desk has always been very helpful and the trainers are very professional.

I enjoy using the gym facilities (Pool, racquetball courts, large functional fitness area). Cleanliness is questionable. I hardly see anyone wipe down the equipment when they're done using it. It's the customers that cause the dirtiness. Leaving their clothes in the showers. Not putting trash in the cans. Drying their underwear in the sauna. There are maintenance issues that definitely need addressing. The A/C in the locker room has been intermittently working for months. The sauna smells like 7th grade PE locker room. The staff has always been friendly.

I have a multi-club membership at a different location. Today I decided to work out at Valrico just to experience a club other than my home club. I found the same level of cleanliness and friendliness. It was pretty crowded at the time I went but I observed a lot of courtesy and respect among the other members.

This place is my home away from home besides Walmart ...

I love this gym because it has a pool, hot tub and sauna and it's huge. They also have Smoothies there. Haven't had 1 yet. When I do I will let you know how it was!

Exceptional staff, you are greeted with a smile and the willingness to help/explain what's offered at the gym. If it's your first time, one of the staff members will get someone to assist. Coco has a positive attitude, someone that's willing to help, patient, easy to talk with, explain to her what's your goals and your limitations without filling less than. Boy, you feel like you are someone special when you enter.

I have been debating leaving a review becusse I don’t normally leave bad reviews. Valrico ESPORTA has to be the dirtiest and most outdated gym I have ever been to. I’m not covid sensitive so that doesn’t bother me but there is not one clean place in this gym and no one wipes down the equipment. More than half the time the paper towel dispensers are broken or don’t have paper towels in them. I continue to come only becusse it’s not as busy as other more popular gyms. The women’s bathroom and sauna are always gross and never look clean. All you can smell is the chlorine pool in the bathrooms. This place needs a full remodel and a real cleaning staff ASAP

Please be aware when they say the pool is open they mean only one person per lane. With two 2 lanes means only 2 people in the pool.

This location is amazing, during this virus crisis the GM and the team has cleaned every hour to help keep it clean. They have done what they can and still continue to serve guest!!!

nice gym. The only issue i had was last week i asked they didn't have any clean spray bottles, only had used spray bottles.. Would have preferred if employees sanitize the used bottle and put it on the entrance for usage. Or please have additional bottles as there is HIGH Usage of bottles during start of year.

The machines are moldy and the place shows that it is not cleaned frequently. I have found the toilets dirty and when you go through the basketball area it stinks too much. Many times there are no 5 or 10 weights available. The manager is not very friendly. Back when it was LA fitness was much better.

Music is too loud ! Makes it hard to social distance!!

Today the “manager” and one trainer got their own class on the green space. Nobody else can even walk on that area just because 2 L.A. Fitness employees have a “class” Great job!!! Very professional!!!! No signs saying we cannot use that space Is their “own policy”

Places nice, staff is friendly, but I noticed that the bathrooms are not kept quite well and they don't check for temperatures or require most guess to uses mask or wipe down the equipment

Great trainer named Rachael. I love the pool. I hear the cycle classes are great. Zumba is fun with Liz also.

Great place to workout for weights🏋, cardiovascular equipment and classes. The remodel added pizzazz to the center floor with the ropes and turf. I like that gym.

Equipment is out dated. They reserve certain areas and equipment for personal trainers and the trainers clients. Staff is very welcoming. The restrooms and locker areas are clean. Pricing does not add up when comparing to the quality of the newer gyms.

Leaving this review for the awesome lady in charge of operations at this location and Lue who is in the sales department for personal training. Have had an unfortunate diagnosis recently and was suggested by my health care provider to seek out some personal training to incorporate exercise with my dietary needs. Lue did a great job offering me the best plan and deal that fit my goals fitness wise in a good time span, going as far as getting me a discount to sign up. Unfortunately the 25 minute session wasn’t what I was expecting, nothing personal against the trainer. I just need a bit more of a hands on approach with services that go beyond what’s offered in their training due to my medical conditions. If your looking for someone to help guide you on how to set up fitness goals and do short sessions of exercise with you to get you acquainted with the gym their services are great and I strongly recommend Lue as your point of contact. Had a little issue and concerns about trying to cancel the contract but the staff there was able to make something work. My only suggestion is you take the time to read through the contract before your first session, as there is information there worth knowing before you fully commit to it. Thank you again the girl in operations.

I thought it was more hygienic and cleaner but you don't have to clean the machines

So far I have been delighted and motivated. There are some minor details that have a "scheduled for service" note on them but it's not deterring from your workout. The classes are fun and the lockers, sauna, and pool area are clean. The staff (Brad's my fave 😁) is very friendly and they push you to attend the gym. The only thing I wish they had is a bathingsuit wringer. Other than that, along with having a sauna, basketball court and kid care, this is the complete gym experience. Cheers to staying fit!

Came back to this gym and it may have been a mistake. Lots of equipment you have to be quick to get otherwise people will wind up using 3 different machines. And personal trainers do the same with their clients

Great place to exercise and play raquetball until you have to deal with its manager (Elsie). I brought a guess who was interested to join and she not only show no interest at all to talk to us but she was disrespectful and careless. Terrible costumer services!

This is for L.A Fitness in 2019?? Nice place, but I was asked if I had checked in because she was on the phone and didn't notice me when I came in a half-hour before, just to ride the stationary bike. When leaving I had turned around and decided to use the restroom first. This is when she asked me to check-in.

I’m a member here and find this location very clean, comfortable and safe. The staff and other members are quite friendly. I enjoy the personal training and feel I’m making great progress.

This is a great gym that I have enjoyed going to over the years. The staff is always very friendly and the machines are clean. Obviously during peak times it can get busy, but I have never had a problem waiting too long for a machine to become available. The racquetball courts, swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, and smoothie bar are big pluses for a gym and they have it all!

Listen to me! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GYM. This gym has gone increasingly downhill over the last two years. There is NO effort from staff. $1 Basketball nets sit shredded for days. Machine equipment constantly inoperable. Half the cardio machines broken/in repair. The ceiling leaks. The floors are ripped. The cleaning supplies are often empty/not filled. Water fountains dont work. It would be funny if it were temporary - but it seems to always gets worse. They want you to cancel in person - the only time they seem to be interested in customer service - but then have excuses as to why you cant cancel in that moment. The staff loiters up front and it resembles a high school lunch room....dudes wearing sunglasses inside, mackin on the older ladies that frequent the gym. I have watched ARMIES of dudes walk in to play basketball unchecked but have seen the manager flip out on a father for dropping a child off under the mother's joint account. The priorities from top to bottom in that place are so backwards. I just walked out of the gym after yet another day of disappointment - and after being told i cannot cancel my account on a Sunday (of course) - and instead of working out, im writing this review to hopefully reach a few people and let them know to SAVE THEIR MONEY. Go to literally ANY OTHER GYM - your garage - or the park - or a junk yard - anywhere other than that esporta in Valrico. On a positive note, ladies - if you like creepy older dudes that sit on equipment with a towel around their neck gawking at the woman doing the squats - then this is definitely the spot! Definitely sketchy place. Not safe.
