I gave this gym a shot for a few days and found it quite lacking. First, there seemed to be a fair amount of broken equipment. Several of the ellipticals and treadmills were out of service, as was a cable station. Quite a bit of the other equipment was in disrepair. I attached a picture of the tread pad on the standing calf raise which is coming off the machine and creating a dangerous situation, and nobody seemed to care. Many of the machines needed oil and were dragging along their bearings. This gym was also extremely dirty. There was some kind of weird funk or mold growing in the water fountains. Many of the gym wipe tubs were empty and never refilled during the times I tried the gym. The staff didn't seem to care. The bathroom usually had full trash and no paper towels. This created an incredibly unsanitary atmosphere with no equipment being wiped down and people obviously not washing their hands when they leave the bathroom. People also left a ton of weights racked on bars or just strewn around. Staff didn't seem to care or ever organize the area. Finally, the gym membership was super cheap, but this seemed to create some other issues. There was actually a homeless guy who had a membership for the sole purpose of taking showers and having a place to hang out when it is raining. I talked to him for a few minutes in the locker room, and he said there were a few homeless guys who had memberships. The low price also means there are a ton of members and they seem to not care about restricting new members in any way despite obvious overcrowding. Overall, it may seem to be a cheap option for a large facility, but it wasn't a good fit for me.

I got the higher membership that at the time included kids club. Which is the only reason I pay for the higher rate. Now they are a charging an additional $25 per month for childcare + $5 for each additional child. Which is bad enough. But then if you want to downgrade to $10 per month you have to pay $100 to “register” this should be waved for current members or at minimum reduced. This is the option they sold me on. My membership was supposed to include childcare, tanning, and the gym. I could care less about the tanning. So I’m going to pay the $100 to have it reduced because I refuse to pay these people that much more per month. Just a heads up to anyone looking at this gym in the future.

I've been a member bere for over 10 years when it was Gold's Gym. The new "Just move" is what you have to ask people when they're just standing around socializing at the stations. One set, and they take a ~30 minute rest and conversate with their friend(s). A lot of the older men that go there scope out and creep on a lot of the women that attend the gym (I've personally had to tell this creep to leave my wife alone working out next to me). The staff doesn't seem to have any concerns about that. The gym can get very crowded, very quickly. Most of the Barbells are all warped making it impossible to find a good bar to workout with. The workout area can get really hot and almost uncomfortable to breathe as if the air conditioning unit isn't functioning. Hopefully that gets fixed soon, but it's been a long time since the air has circulation in the back corner of the squat stations. The kids club is nice, if you don't plan on using them on the weekends with a baby under a year old. They are closed on Sundays, and Saturdays they only have one staff member to watch a room full of children (this seems extremely dangerous for the well-being of the kids in the club). Over the course of the last decade I've been coming here I've seen the facility just going downhill. Im not sure how much longer I'll be a member here, unfortunately.

Clean facility, clean equipment, clean locker rooms. The staff is always kind and willing to answer questions. Parking at times can get busy. They should definitely put cameras in the parking lot. A vehicle backed into my boyfriend's car, causing 2k in damages, and we had no video to possibly find out who it could have been.

The staff and manager are really nice! But i think the equipment, and gym itself needs some upgrades. Too many people go here though. I would be waiting on machines and there would be people talking and taking up the workout equipment. No common courtesy from these customers. I found somewhere else to go but maybe if they expanded the gym and upgraded their equipment i would go back in the future. Also in their social media pages, they should show more variety of bodies on their pages. All you see is thin and "fit" people. Everyone else who is out of shape are barely posted on their socials. A little intimidating for those starting their journey and want to see what the diversity of people in the gym.

I think 1 star is very generous rating for this gym. They make canceling your membership impossible and continue to charge fees no matter what. They tell you to go in person to cancel it. Person at the desk tells you to go on their website. Website says text this number. Number tells you to go in person. Person at the desk says we don't do that here. Beside that, showers are filthy, sauna thermometer has been broken for many years, there is always trash on the ground, shower soap dispensers have Gold Gym on it and haven't been filled or cleaned since then. The lines to use the equipment are ridiculously long at any hour and they continue to charge you after you've requested to cancel your account, disregarding anything you do, they only want your money. During COVID to continued to charge everyone but closed their gym.

This gym is a joke. It is filthy beyond belief. Boogers and roaches in the mens sauna, broken and filthy equipment. Moldy water fountains. Groups of kids hogging workout equipment/machines. Homeless people taking showers spreading athletes foot. A nonexistent staff, and when they are there, they could really care less. People pouring water on the electric sauna. They should be revoking memberships.

Horrible experience. Do not sign up. Look for another gym. No customer service. After three years as a member, I get a huge time consuming run around about canceling. I Needed to cancel my membership and I was informed that I had to go to the actual facility and meet with a manager to cancel my membership. Can you believe this. Why on earth would I need a consult with a manager to cancel. I can think for myself. I don’t need to be help hostage by my gym. I’ve been in gyms my whole life and this is the first time I’ve ever heard of anything like this. They are just trying to make it hard to cancel for members. Hope new prospective members will heed this warning. Once you’re a member they refuse to let you go. I suggest that new people look for another gym with customer service.

Customer service is a complete joke! You'll spend more time trying to TEXT them to get a response more than anything. I just joined the gym and it hasn't even been a week! How do I get a late fee and I just joined and paid!!! It's a nice facility but at what price? Think about it strongly before joining. Imagine having a bank minus the possibility of speaking to a human regarding your concerns. I called the customer service number multiple times and the recording just repeats itself and non stop rings. No text response at all.

They are hanging the squat mirrors too high! They have three more to go definitely should be fixed. You cannot see the bottom half of your body when you squat!

This gym is huge, awesome and clean. It has separate areas for cable machines, free weights, treadmills, ellipticals, crossfit, boxing and other equipment. I love the cardio cinema, run, bike and elliptical while watching a movie in a theater size screen with great sound system. The locker area is large and clean. They sell shakes and protein product. They have a day care section for kids. This place is great. I highly recommend it.

One of the best gyms I've been to. A large selection of equipment and free weights. I wish they would do a deep cleaning though. The men's bathroom needs a few repairs, and the air conditioning system needs cleaning. The return ducts are filthy.

Great gym. Literally everyone working there is so nice. Heidi is the one who signed us up and she’s always been so nice. Love the kid care, I’ve always wanted a gym with a daycare so I have no excuse! Can’t beat the price either. Thanks guys

I've been going to Just Move North Lakeland for years now. Truth be told it's fallen back down to how they were back when they were Gold's Gym. What I mean by that is the fact that it's just not well cared for like it was when they first took over. It's clear the bathroom (men's) hasn't been properly cleaned in days (if not weeks), one of the water dispensers pours at practically a trickle, and on the busiest days (like Monday) it's extremely difficult to find open machines. That being said, I still love this gym and highly recommend it. The staff is super friendly. And the people who attend are gracious and courteous (at least the few strangers I've interacted with anyway). I just wished the management would take better care of the facility.

I enjoyed going to Just Move. However, I submitted two written cancelation notices to ABC Financial Services and their Sales rep Connor due to moving out of state due to work. Here we are years later and I'm getting a collections notice on a past due balance. I thought these predatory gym practices were a thing of the 90s. I will be filing in small claim court.

The North Lakeland JMAC is not my “home gym” but I visit this location for personal training with Christina and it is well worth the drive! Christina *ALWAYS* pushes me out of my comfort zone - she actually shoves me straight in to scaryville - but she empowers me to have the confidence to tackle any task she throws at me and equips me with the knowledge that I’m doing it in a safe manner. She takes the time to listen to what I’m saying and she’s able to make corrections/adjustments for me on the spot. She is also incredibly motivating! I highly recommend JMAC as all the facilities are well equipped and clean, the staff is welcoming and helpful, and the hours of operation are great and I also highly (HIGHLY) recommend personal training with Christina! She will destroy (in the best way) whatever muscle groups you’re working that day with spunk, encouragement, and an unmatched enthusiasm!

I love this gym. Every machine I need to train for my fights is in this gym. There’s privacy in the cinema enter and the sauna is open at all times. Showers are freshly cleaned and remodeled as of this passed weekend. Amazing stories of regained confidence and triumph… I’ve met so many interesting people there. It really is a top tier fitness club. The shakes are my favorite part.

I live in south Lakeland and that’s my home gym, but when I went to my south side gym I was told by a manager he couldn’t cancel my personal training sessions and to email a different manager at that location to cancel. I the called northside who agreed with me that was not correct and I was able to drive up there and get that canceled. I’m still waiting on the other manager to respond to my email from yesterday morning. Thank You Zach for getting the job done.

Everyone here is AMAZING!!!!! They are super knowledgeable and kind and say things like it is. Very Courteous , little pricy but they work with you , literally my favorite GYM

Increase in basic memberships is absolutely ridiculous!!!! You get the exact same gym but now you have to pay triple. 9.99 to 27.99. Greedy people will lose their members.

Workers are friendly and professional. Classes and equipment are great! Bathrooms clog often and the ceiling has been messed up for about 6 months. Hopefully they'll fix it soon

They increased the prices of all memberships including the basic from $10 to nearly $30 per month in this economy. And then they also are taking away privileges of the memberships too including no guests. The worst part is that they don’t tell anyone about these changes in an email, text, or anything. Reached out to Just move support and was left on read.

They are criminals, for the most part. You best believe! No integrity or morals. Not even legally cooperating in standing against cyber crime committed there that might be because they mostly all participated. If you are ok with that and being around consciousless mind slaves who don’t honor our constitution or kind people or anything decent at all then this is for you. These one star reviews are the truth. In fact, for what they do they deserve less than zero. Maybe there are a few good things and good teachers and a couple decent staff but they won’t help you. They make their choice then. If I think you are good but you help evil succeed then I guess you proved me wrong on the first assertion. It is FREE to be decent. It is the LAW to speak out about crimes.

I’ve been having a membership for a while now and feel it’s time for a review finally lol. Over the course of 6 months or so it has been an overall great experience attending here, the bathroom is always kept up and restocked (which is an A++ matter imo), there’s a lot of amenities such as the theatre cardio area, saunas, training areas, Zumba, yoga, smoothies tanning etc. It’s an overall pretty basic gym when it comes to the equipment but coming from a gym like Planet Fitness it’s definitely an upgrade! So far it hasn’t really gotten that packed during the hours I go, but even on the days it can be a little packed it’s still manageable to get a great workout in. The vibe/ atmosphere is super chill and I’ve never come across anyone particularly rude when it comes to either staff or other customers, a lot of times people are courteous in wiping down machines before and after use and the staff are always helpful and respectful. Overall it’s been a great experience here! I definitely don’t regret switching. ☺️

James, the manager is the best 😊 He is always ready to go above and beyond for all of us. Quick to find solutions to problems and I appreciate that. The staff overall are super friendly. The gym itself definitely needs some love. There is a lot of outdated equipment that could use an upgrade. It’s normal to find big wholes randomly in walls and on the roof. And needs a good dust removal lol. Besides the appearance this gym definitely gets the job done for a good pump but at the end of the day, it’s up to the owner to invest wisely in his business and fix this place up.

Never know when gym is closed. It’s supposed to be 24 hours but that’s never the case. Instead of putting hours may differ it would be nice to know an exact time

I went in today to sign up, told the guy (not welcoming kinda awkward even) I wanted to try the gym before signing up. He answer was oh you can walk around. I mentioned if I could “try” the machine, his answer was a day pass is 15$. So I’m confuse here. I have to pay 15$, and I sign up after my workout I get charged the fee and all? Yeah not professional at all.

Great customer service. Spacious gym. Has everything you need. Always cleaning. Needs som TLC in certain spots but definitely a gym i will go back to when in town again.

I have been discriminated against and treated with disrespect from majority of the employees that work at Northside just moved in lakeland. If you are having a wonderful time that is perfect please do not let my opinion suede your view on the establishment. However it is getting hostile and I do not appreciate the rudeness. I understand it is a gym and gyms are for working out not socializing. But when I feel like I have to be on guard the whole time I'm in the gym that is not okay. I'm not expecting anything to be done. I'm just sick and tired of it I wish I could leave the gym sooner but unfortunately I'll have to wait until October for when I move.

Amazing gym, has a cinema room where you can watch a movie and workout just as if you were in a theater, great class options, sauna, tanning, shake bar, very clean, training area for just about all of anyone's gym needs. Kids center so you have no excuse not to Just move. Highly recommend the north lakeland over the south lakeland location. South lakeland becomes way to packed where you have no space to work out.

I love to workout at this gym. It is a great fit for most everything you need do at a gym. But it's terrible that a lot of us members have been asking for months to fix the air on the free weights side of the gym and we are just shrugged off.

Other than the IG Highlights of members I never see working out, the owners do not care about their members. Given the fact they took away the 9:30am group training with no notice or care for any of the staff or members, who show up daily for that specific training. I see those same members training themselves just to keep their consistent routine going. It’s so sad the gym is trying to save money by eliminating the most popular class in the gym. Do better.

Love this place. Pricing are amazing compared to Esporta or other gym box. They have everything that you can think of in terms of physical fitness. Cardio, crossfit, classes, tanning booth, etc. Definitely a place I would recommend to locals or individuals within the commuting distance. They only have three locations in the Lakeland surrounding areas. Friendly staff, routine cleaning, acceptable showers and bathrooms, great classes for different workouts, just what you would expect and a little bit better than most gym boxes. Definitely recommend.
