Not sure how this company is highly rated. I walked in to look at buying fish - the person working was on the phone and instead of acknowledging me, he simply kept talking and then turned his back to me as I came closer so he could keep on the phone.

So I don’t normally leave reviews but this place was a refreshing experience. This little family owned store made the effort to make us feel loved and welcomed. Not only was the service outstanding, from both the manager (Britton) and the worker (Trent), but they have gone above and beyond to answer all questions and give us direction since we are new to the hobby. (Currently keeping fresh water fish). I have loved how kind they are to my whole family (I have 4 littles) and how willing they are to help me out with all aspects of my fish keeping. When I need to save money they give me advice on how to accomplish this and are willing to give me knowledge to make well informed decisions. We have bought fish from several large chains and box stores and they have all sadly died. Every fish we have purchased from here has thrived and is so different in their demeanor. They will come to the front of the glass and let us handle them at feeding time. I will definitely make the drive here from Tampa for all my fish keeping needs!

I stop in to this place for the first time. Was treated very poorly. There was only one person there . And I felt he didn’t want to be there are help . The place was very dirty and stunk. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Very disappointed

Aquatic Underworld installed our aquarium and helped us choose the best fish and supplies for our tank.They’ve done an amazing job helping with upkeep and doing what’s best for our fish. If you’re inexperienced and need help they’re the ones to go to. You won’t find a pushy salesperson. Just a family that knows their stuff and are genuinely concerned about the well being of your fish. They’re very patient and knowledgeable when it comes to the hobby. So happy they’ve finally opened a store. My family and I can’t wait to visit their new location.

Great customer service and free shipping . They will order just about any livestock you want and quarantine the the fish for you to make sure it’s safe and healthy. Always open to answering questions. They are my go to place for RODI and they mix your salt water to order and offer three types to choose from . I get their reef water and my tank always looks amazing and my coral are growing like crazy

Very very slow service. Was only one other customer inside and I was standing in there for 20 minutes waiting to be helped. I wanted to purchase three big corals and now I will be taking my money elsewhere.

Fantastic friendly service, very personable staff that care and help each customer succeed and flourish with their tanks and aquariums. They are very knowledgeable and will give you the best solutions to having a fantastic aquarium/Tank.

Great Customer Service here. Was in there talking with "John" and he shared some useful information on my African Cichlids and their ecosystem.

Love it here, they’re always willing to help get whatever you’re looking for and everyone is super friendly and down to earth.

This store is awesome! Their customer service is top tier and they have an amazing variety of saltwater and freshwater fish, the staff is very educated and know what they are talking about. Definitely worth the visit!

Nate is the best. He worked late to clean my tank and safe the fish. He is very knowledgeable about what is doing. I will recommend him to everyone. My tank is looking good and fish are doing good. Thank you Nate for all the hard work you did for us Aman Dhillon

Great experience here. The employee was really nice and helpful. Seems like they take great care of their fish. Everyone looked healthy and well fed. Their tanks are not overstocked.

Very professional and punctual. My tank always look beautiful when he leaves and he is always making recommendations to help maintain the tank. His prices are very reasonable for the maintenance he does and the amount of time he spends cleaning the tank. He makes sure the customers are happy and the tank is looking good before he walks out that door! I am very pleased with his services. I love Aquatic Underworld for both my home and classroom aquariums! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and professional. The fishes are always healthy and there is a wide variety or fishes and supplies! They're willing to get anything I need and always for the best price! Waste of gas. Came by the shop at 11:30 am on a weekday and the store was closed. No notice posted on the door, nothing mentioned on their social media pages. Plenty of other good fish stores in the Tampa Bay Area. Won’t be wasting my time here again.
