I took my baby to this clinic about a year ago as an emergency because she got sick. I saw all the great reviews & didn't think to take her else where because I figured she'd be in good hands also conveniently how close the clinic was. Upon arriving Dr. Bailey was very rude to me & my sister & made me feel as if I was the worst owner in the world and didn't care about her. At the time I was in high school with a job that paid me $8 an hour. I still managed to keep up with all of her shots and vet visits. I paid around $400 for the vet visit that night. And I think if I was such a bad owner I would've just gone to bed and let my baby suffer and wouldn't have bothered to spend my whole pack check for that week on her. I still have all my receipts and papers from that night. After that visit I had a feeling that the Dr was racist but I didn't want to assume things that's why I didn't leave my review earlier. But now that I've heard of other peoples experiences I know I wasn't just assuming things. If I could go back in time I would have drove an 30 minutes to an hour somewhere else where they genuinely cared about their patients. So no I didn't "jump on the band wagon" I would have taken her to her home clinic the "Turkey Creek Animal Hospital" If they were open.

First impression, was not good. I wouldn't recommend bringing your pets to this Animal Clinic. When we brought our 4 Goats in yesterday, they had us pull through a fence in the back of the property & pretty much told us that we couldn't go inside to sit down, because we had to stay with our animals at all times, which they're were all in cages. It was hot outside. We were there for about 4 1/2 hours total, which is a little crazy. When we called to ask questions over the phone, before coming in, no one seemed to know any answers & we were placed on hold several times, for several minutes, thinking they forgot about us. There were fees that were charged to us, that weren't initially disclosed. We paid them, but we weren't very happy about it. The # 1 thing that bothered us the most was, how unprofessional Larry Bailey was to us & to his Staff, from what we observed. When he was speaking to us he seemed arrogant, he over-spoke us & when he was speaking to my Husband, he was rude, as if he was speaking down to him, when all my Husband was trying to do was ask questions, to educate himself, as we are new Goat owners. I almost stopped Dr. Bailey to ask him to stop talking to us the way he was, but I just let it go & let him finish. One of his Employees walked up to him to ask him a question & he threw his hand down, as if they were bothering him. The only reason we will be back is, because this is the only Vet we could find semi-near by to where we live. Professionalism, sympathy & the willingness to help & educate Clients is definetely areas of needed improvement. There's a reason why this place has a 3.2 Google Review Rating. On a good note, the Facility was clean on the outside & from the little bit we did see inside.

Edit to owners response: I waited so long because I don’t like to leave bad reviews but recently I’ve talked to several more owners who had a terrible experience at your clinic. I honestly find it dangerous to take your animals here. The doctor 100% told me he suspected possible internal bleeding while in the room with me. My memory is fine on what occurred despite the comment in your response to me. The doctor was very abrupt and rude. To anyone looking at these reviews just look how they respond to negative feedback. It speaks for itself. I had to take my mini pig Mavis in on an emergency basis on the weekend after she had complications from her spay done from a different vet. The tech told me it would be $150 just to come in but then in the background the vet said to tell me $225 because they were busy. He was trying to discourage me from coming in because they were busy. No other vet in the area would see my pig on the weekend. The doctor was rude and abrupt and told me my pig wasn’t stressed and that I was the one who was stressed. $600 later he couldn’t help me and said it looked like she was bleeding internally(which wasn’t the case at all). He referred us to UF thankfully. I highly recommend you don’t bring your pet here. The doctor is too rough with the animals, condescending, and rude. I’m thankful for the vets at university of Florida who were able to quickly diagnose my pig and save her.

I have heard numerous stories about the awful things that have happened here at the hands of a vet named Dr. Bailey from friends and former employees. I would suggest taking your pets literally anywhere else, if you bring them here, you might not bring them back. Animals have been given wrong diagnoses, wrong medicines, animals have been dropped and thrown around. One person's dog just passed away yesterday after they let him roll off their table and hit his head on the floor. Animals have been given medicine without the owner's knowledge or consent. How this place stays in business I have no idea as I have only heard horror stories. I was searching for a vet a couple years ago and I'm glad I did my research and stayed away from this place. My Pets Animal Hospital in Lakeland is a fantastic vet full of employees who actually care about animals and is the best place I have found, I would highly suggest it. This place though I would never suggest in a thousand years. If you want your animals to survive stay away from this place.

Dr. Bailey, Jessica and the entire staff have been so amazingly awesome to our Storm. We took Storm in because he suddenly started having seizures. Dr. Bailey took very good care of all of us sharing his expertise and knowledge as well as what we may be facing and what our options were. We are so incredibly grateful to you and your staff Dr. Bailey! You guys are the best of the best, truly. Storm loves you guys❤ and so do we. Jon McCormick, Gina and Storm.

Dr Bailey trimmed my piggy Lollipop's trotters and teeth/tusks. She's a big girl. Needed anesthetic, don't need a screaming wriggling pig. Orange betadine not blood. Great doc and staff. She's a happy girl again. Thank you.

Saved my lambs life! All the staff are very helpful and Dr.Baily has been there to help teach me and answer any questions I have. A bit Pricier for livestock (as to be expected of larger animals) but definitely my go to for my sheep!

Years ago as a teenager I brought my dog to Dr.Bailey and to be honest I thought he was a real jerk but in June I got a new puppy and Dr.Bailey was one of few vets in our area that did the procedure I was looking to have done to my pup so I took a chance. I will say I have read all the negative things floating around about him on the internet and maybe in the past they were true but people can change and I whole heartedly believe Dr.Bailey has changed for the better! He took his time and explained the procedure and the follow up care to me, he was upfront about the cost and even didn’t charge me for a lot of my follow up exam fees. He was always kind to my dog but he is a farm vet and will tell you the truth with out sugar coating it to some that may offend you but he’s just being honest. I only planned to use him for the procedure but I now faithfully take my Zeus to Dr.Bailey for all his visits. His staff has always been great but Dr.Bailey himself is really trying to change and I feel he deserves a second chance!

Absolutely do NOT recommend! First off, this place is operated by children. They have very little knowledge of anything going on and it seems to hinder their moral and willingness to do their job to the best of their abilities. We bring our dog here for boarding. We were quoted $353.00 because he was due for some of his shots. At the time of drop off we added a bath, ear cleaning and nail trim. ( total of $50) Upon pickup, we were hit with a 561$ bill! Included in the bill but NOT on the quote $25 routine office visit, doctor consultation fee $34. These fees are apparently mandatory but when they give you the quote, they dont put those mandatory fees in there. They do add the osha fees and biohaz materials fees on the quote, I guess that isnt a secret. They also quoted us for a ONE year rabies shot and tag. 20$ but did a 3 year shot for $110.00. When asked about that was told " oh well your wife signed for it so theres nothing you can do" When we dropped him off, the receiving tech had no idea what she was doing so every question we had she had to go ask someone else. Understandably fine until the person that is supposed to be training her isnt even in the same room. Argues that the new technician went over everything and spoke with my wife about the 1 year to 3 year rabies change (didn't happen) and says she witnessed it. Although, also admitted that she was in another room upon his arrival and when the paperwork was signed. I've asked multiple times to speak with the doctor or manager and neither one would come to my room or call me. Their resolution to the theft slid into our invoice is " rip up the 3 year rabies tag and we'll give you your money back. Nothing for any of the other hidden charges or to deal with the childlike incompetent staff. After reading other reviews, its clear to me that this is common practice at this facility. I dont not support stealing, lying and/or dishonest companies and I'll gladly find another Vet and boarding facility! The unprofessional staff, leadership, customer service and being screamed at by the techs is part of the reason we wont be back. Stealing my money is the main reason. I truly hope your dishonest policies catch up with you all and force you out of business. Nothing about this facility is the American way.

Dr. Bailey and his team were phenomenal with our Great Dane babygirl, Maze. I think the prices were extremely fair, he was extremely straight forward about how his estimate process worked and that he could find more issues/require more medication while in surgery and overall took great care of her. We are so thankful for them. We came in and my kids and I were an emotional wreck after another one of my dogs snapped and took a chunk off of our sweet Danes ear over food, my battered dog came through the door with her and myself covered in blood. He and his team walked us through what to expect. The staff was patient while I was calling for updates every few hours. I understood from the beginning that he may have cases walk through the door that were far more emergent than mine. We have a long recovery ahead with several follow ups, but we greatly appreciate how we were treated and how after care was thoroughly explained. A million times, THANK YOU! —The Bennett Family

Dr. Larry S. Bailey of Walden Lake Animal Clinic receives 5 stars for Professionalism, competence, thoroughness, and reliability of our 8-year 9mth old Min Pin. On Christmas Day, because of a life and death emergency diagnosis, we were privileged to meet and have our Min Pin seen and cared for by Dr. Bailey. After visiting and calling neighboring Animal Hospitals, on Christmas Day, Dr. Bailey answered the phone and extended the opportunity to reexamine, confirm and identify the importance of our visit. While the diagnosis warranted emergency attention, Dr. Bailey began his service and professional advice leading to the stabilization of our Min Pin as she awaited surgery the following day. During and after surgery, the staff gave current and next step updates for the care of our Min Pin. Walden Lake Animal Clinic is amazing, accommodating, and affordable. Thank you, Dr. Bailey. Special acknowledgment to Technicians Jessica, Victoria, Zee, and Amber for the impeccable customer service we received.

From both a client and volunteer perspective, I'm highly disappointed. Beautiful building, and amazing for if you have cattle or any livestock! But when you bring your pets in, they're not great. Like at all. They will do the bare minimum, and possibly even accidentally misdiagnose just to say they did something. They don't care. I showed up to volunteer a year or so back, it was highly disappointing, I saw how they treated the clients and the ladies working there don't like the clients and will seem inconvenienced. Two of them also showed up hung over and wanted nothing to do with clients.... I'm beyond unimpressed.... Whatever they do, stick to cattle.

A few weeks ago, we took our 10 year old English bulldog outside for her morning walk and potty time, that’s when we discovered blood in her urine. In a panic we called our primary vet (another popular vet’s office in PC) and we’re told they couldn’t schedule her or take walk-ins, and tried pawning us off to Blue Pearl (Expensive). This was the 3rd emergency we’ve tried scheduling with them, and they’ve done this. We’ve had enough, so a quick google maps search we found Walden Lake Animal Clinic. We called, got scheduled, and seen Dr. Bailey same day. The office is clean, and has a nice warm welcoming feeling to it. The staff was prompt, extremely nice, and patient with me and my little-bear. Dr Bailey and his staff ran some tests and found several problem spots we needed to address. The prognosis was clear to understand and we’re given multiple treatment options. After a few days on her treatment plan, our baby girl is returning to her old self, playful, happy, and hungry. We are really happy with her recovery, and very thankful to the swift action of Dr. Bailey and his staff. We’ll be registering all our animals with Walden Lake Animal Clinic.

Dr Bailey is extremely knowledgeable, straight & to the point. Which i enjoy. I’ve had to bring all 3 of our pets to him for emergencies and he did a great job each time. I felt comfortable and confident in his treatment for them. His costs are reasonable especially compared to other vets in the area.

Dr Bailey is a no-nonsense, straight to the point kind of veterinarian. He answered every emergency call I made to him without question and never once made me feel as if I was bothering him. He was very clear on treatment plans, costs and overall prognosis of my babies. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars, is because of an unfortunate miscommunication between myself and the staff. Although they were very kind and incredibly understanding when my baby passed away, they told me a paw print was included with the cremation package, but apparently, it was not. Had I known it was not included, I would have paid for this extra service. And sadly, it is too late now.

We were visiting from out of state and our dog needed medical care. Dr. Bailey's office got us in quickly. The office staff was super friendly and helpful. Dr. Bailey was professional, compassionate, straightforward, and courteous. Dr. Bailey gave us a clear diagnosis, went through treatment plan and potential complications with us. He even got us in on a Saturday for a follow-up visit just to make sure everything was okay before our long drive home. Cost-wise, his fee was probably 50% less than what we would've had to pay at our regular vet in Texas. Super happy that we got lucky and found his office! We would definitely come back to Walden Lake Animal Clinic again if we ever needed veterinarian care in Plant City!

We brought our dog here after her regular vet didn't have any openings. The staff all seemed extremely competent and were very polite to us. Dr. Bailey took the time to explain everything in detail using language we could understand, from the plan of action all the way to the diagnosis, and we received multiple calls keeping us updated throughout the process when our dog had to be left for the day for tests. If we were staying in the area, we would probably be changing to Walden Lake because of the level of care our dog received. She is already acting much more like herself.

Living in St. Petersburg, this clinic was the closest farm animal emergency vet that responded right away and was willing to take in my baby goat immediately. Billy developed urinary calculi, and needed medical attention ASAP. Dr. Bailey took him in immediately, and informed me of the issue and the options to treat him, as well as the possible outcomes. I went with what he thought was best, and he saved my baby. I picked him up a day or so later, and Dr prescribed meds and informed me on how to keep him from developing this for the rest of his life

I would not recommend this place to no one with a pup, they had my sick puppy just sitting there for hours no water nor food. My pup went in walking and came out she couldn’t hold her head up. Unfortunately she passed. This place is strictly all about the money not for the health of the animals. Your taking a risk with this place trust. They misdiagnosed her just because they had no actual idea what was wrong with her instead of referring her to someone more knowledgeable they lied just to make a quick buck. Im highly disappointed & will never return!

I took our kitten in for her physical and the staff and doctor was great. Very caring and professional. They gave her all her vaccines and wormed her. They sent me home with medication and showed me how to administrator it. I also really like the 24hr emergency service if I would need it. I had a great experience and definitely recommended them.

I take my English Bulldog to Dr. Bailey. I called on a Sunday because the dog was having a case of terrible hives, even after Benadryl. He fixed him right up and charged a very reasonable price for emergency care. My dog used to be at Turkey Creek animal clinic, but my dog was having something like a cold and feeling really bad. My husband took to Turkey Creek and they would not even see him. They told my husband he had to go to Blue Pearl. They kept him over 3 nights for a light case of pneumonia. 4,800 dollars later, he still had to go back to a vet. I took him to Walden lake animal clinic and Dr. Bailey took care of him. A shot and medication got him right back. He does not sugarcoat and sweettalk your animal. His bedside manner to customers may not be sugary but he will get the job done.

😠 I am actually very sad to write a poor review about this clinic because until today they have been very helpful and accommodating and I was taking all of my pets here for care, as my friends have as well for the past decade. Recently I fell on some financial hardship and rang them for an appointmen...
