I stayed one night on a solo motorcycle trip. The hotel is pretty nice, it's reasonably well maintained. The rooms are very clean, and there's a nice breakfast room with plenty of places to sit. The parking lot is in good shape. A specific drawback and it's not something that the hotel can do much about, is the fact that it is a long way from the hotel to any place to eat. So make sure that you have dinner before you arrive.

Bathroom had mold and had not been cleaned properly, there was trash on the floor. Also, the room smelled musty and had not been dusted well. The sheets were scratchy. The breakfast was acceptable and the coffee was good.

My worse experience ever. I booked through Priceline and since It was a quick trip I didn’t bother to read reviews. When I first went in the lobby smell like mold. In our room not only the room smell like mold, there was food left in the refrigerator . And the bathroom was dirty. I went to the front desk and asked for a new room. The new room had mold on curtains,, and bathroom was dirty. My family and I picked up and went to front desk and informed them we would not stay at the hotel and left. The front desk employee was not apologetic at all. It was like I was inconveniencing him. I’ve never gone to a hotel and received this kind of treatment.

This should be listed as a Four Star hotel. Very clean and fresh throughout the hotel. The staff was very friendly. Lots of amenities including a fitness room. Nice breakfast variety. Will definitely stay here again.

Tiny beds that any taller person will not fit on and horribly uncomfortable. Floor peeling up in room. Large gap under door did not even stay an hour before checking out. As a diamond best western rewards holder very disapointed in this dump.

First of all this hotel was a godsend! My Mother and I were in town staying at a relative's home. We became involved in a very bad argument and about 7:00 p.m. had to find a hotel. The room was very nice and the beds were awesome! We both slept great. Especially after sleeping four nights on a fold out bed that was not comfortable.. My only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is the shower/tub. The water drained very slowly during my shower and was very annoying. They're also was not an exhaust fan. Overall this is definitely a hotel I would go back too.

Location was great. Everything else not so great. Bed was like laying on ply wood and very squeaky , pillows was like laying on an air bag, the bath towels felt like they was scraping you dry,ice machine broken, pool closed, staff rude to guess even the kids, toilet was loose and shakey, the air conditioning was making horrible noises that we could not sleep had to turn it off and sleep with fan because the front office said there were no other rooms and I could not get a refund to go elsewhere. Spoke to manager next morning and she wasn’t very concerned and only discounted me 15%. Never again will I take my chances at staying at a best western!!

I'm going with 2.5 stars as an overall rating. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The breakfast was mediocre at best. The rooms were clean but there is zero ventilation which makes everything extremely damp. The room has an awful mildew smell because of the moisture. Our electronics were covered in condensation and the bed sheets were wet. Although the beds are comfortable, it felt like I was sleeping in a cold wet tent. We inspected the room for bugs and there was no evidence of their presence. The pool is decent and the laundry and fitness facilities were nice as well.

Found dead bugs in the lamps, A/C filters haven't been cleaned in I don't know how long, bathroom had mold growing in the grout, and the bathroom vent had an insane amount of dust because it has never been cleaned, and had broken furniture.

A basic hotel that was fine for our overnight stay. A bit dated interior. The breakfast had a good variety for the continental serve-yourself style.

Convenient location for me, they keep the rooms clean, if you like hotel breakfast probably going to be a little sad but over all no issues, if your passing through and need a place to stay it does the job, mattresses are extremely firm which works for me but probably not everyone.

What a disgusting place to stay. We stayed here for a state competition for JROTC. We had 15 rooms and most of them had major issues. The rooms smelled very moldy or like vomit. One room was dirty with bloody towels on the floor after check in. Another room had the shower leak all night and they refused to fix it. Another room had a sink leaking all night and they refused to fix as well. An additional room had ants crawling on the bed. My personal room smelled like a vat of mold. And the floor was coming up in certain areas. The elevator looks pretty sketchy. We had to go to the front to get light bulbs for two rooms. And to top the experience off, breakfast was pretty nasty. The eggs were drier than sawdust and the sausage tasted fake. Our school will not be returning to this hotel ever again.

Terrible night at an overpriced hotel. I've been on the road for a long time. I've been to a lot of Best Westerns. The room was damp from the old noisy worn out a/c. The bed was loud/squeaky, small, and left my back feeling like I slept in a ditch. I awoke several times thinking something was crawling on me... I took the fitted sheet off and checked for bed bugs after the third time. (Thankfully, there were none!) The furniture was all banged up from rough usage, the dresser drawers wouldn't stay shut, the desk chair didn't fit under the desk, and it obstructed the walkway. The tv is mounted off center in the room and offers limited channel selection. The shower provided stinky water. The one staff member I encountered my entire stay was friendly and personable. This quality is what I would expect from an hourly rate motel. I'll not be returning here. If you're in the Mulberry Florida area and need lodging, I suggest the West Lakeland area.. Stay safe, and happy travels!

It’s just bad! Stayed here for a two day business trip and I must confess that I’ve never stayed at a place this bad. Bed was awful, water leaking from all the pipes, shower wasn’t working. Please avoid this place. I couldn’t even get some decent sleep.

You should seriously just avoid this hotel. I won't lie, it's a decent hotel, the rooms are decent enough. But the check-in experience every time is pure hell! Best Western themselves screw up and me, my wife, and our service dog are stuck out in Florida heat, almost 90 to 100° weather for half hour to an hour, because they screw up. Oh we have a room for you, you have a confirmation email that this is being paid with points and you are the one checking in, you match your ID for the person checking in, but unless you give us a certain number, you're not allowed to check in. Do yourself a favor, avoid this Best Western all together. No other Best Western treats their customers as horribly as this one does.

This was my first time staying at a best western and probably last. I stay at the one in mulberry Florida and i am glad i canceled my second day. For $179 a night, i expected better. The hotel is outdated and not very clean. The room i stayed at (201) was not the best to say the least. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever ever ever slept on. I thought i would fall off the bed. It was squeaky and very unstable. The walls were dirty and the vents had mold. The bathroom wall had a whole that's been patched and the bathroom door as well. The shower was not so cleaned. If i would've gotten my money back, i would. Best western people are working hard to make their money and you need to do better. $179 for a night is not cheap. I've posted pics below...

This is nastier than any trap house you have been in. Mold everywhere. They have BLACK MOLD everywhere. They just bleach the walls and paint over it. They don't correct the issues at all. my bed had bed bugs.i was here for funeral and I just packed up lost money and went into bartow and stayed at a CLEAN HOTEL. Cheaper and cleaner DONT WASTE UR MONEY HERE YOU WILL GET SICK if you stay here. I tried to plug my phone in back of head board the headboard fall off and there was black mold cover the wall behind the headboard. the tubs don't drain the sink leaks. The whole hotel smells musty and nasty. I have copd. I spoke with front desk the apologized. Was very nice but I didn't even stay an hour. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR LIFE DONT GO THERE.

Beyond floored & flabbergasted. Came with my best friend/business partner for a business meeting. Paid a little over 200 for their King suite.... stayed a day & left itching should have known something was up when one or the jets in the tub appeared suspect! The itching didn't stop my friend was so bit up & the culprit was bed bugs from this establishment that hitch hiked it's way to our home. Never had to deal with anything like this before for what originally cost 200+ is now turning into 700+

I stayed at the hotel while there was a thunderstorm. The electric went out twice, and the internet did not always work when there was electricity. For many millennials and younger, these are must haves when staying somewhere. I hope they invest on more stable systems. The rooms themselves are pretty nice; however, I was surprised not to find direct USB outlets anywhere in the room. Also, the shower needs some maintenance so that the hot and cold control is stable. It kept shifting between hot and cold during my shower. A redeeming factor was a toothbrush that I forgot and they kindly handed me one. The exercise room is okay but needs maintenance on their one weight machine. The screened in pool area would have been nice if it weren't raining. I would have swam in the pool with the rain if there had been a way to keep my towel dry. Overall, I would not stay again unless other options are unclean or have worse problems.

My son had an early cross country meet in Lakeland last week and we needed somewhere inexpensive to stay just for one night. This Best Western delivered. Rooms and bathroom were clean. The floor in the room is tiled, so no musty smell or stains to deal with. The a/c was a little noisy, but we adjusted the fan speed and it solved the issue. The best part was interacting with Anthony at the front desk. Extremely helpful and engaging. I’d stay here again if the opportunity presented itself.

When I called it was already an hour before time or you could cancel your reservation the lady on the phone assured me my wife and daughter would be able to check in with wife identification as I was still working and it's a 2-hour trip for my daughter to play ball upon arrival they have for my wife and my daughter they cannot enter the room because they don't have my card but not only did they want my daughter and my wife to sit in the parking lot for two and a half hours for me to stop working and make it down there but also refused to give me my money because it was after the cancellation. So they charge my card and I cannot use their service because I'm not having my wife in my daughter stay in the parking lot for two and a half hours until I can make it down there obviously women and children's safety and feeling secure is nowhere thoughts or concerns they just care about your money not the service they provide you( update after driving back again the mess up was corrected for our second night we stayed good breakfast friendly staff decent staff clean rooms

Good service , but a little bit pricey , and the free breakfast was ok. Not as much selection as other hotels but it was decent. I would consider this place again .

Needed to be in Mulberry to help out a friend who just had a baby. Location was interesting, but the hotel was clean, quiet, and looked recently renovated. No carpet in the rooms, which is always a plus.

Spent 2 weeks and hated it. The gap at the bottom of the door made it so you hear everything in the hallway. Stingy about the towels like anyone wants to steal those cheap towels. Your room key won't get you into the laundry room like at every other hotel, you have to go to the front desk and be assigned one. The mattress was the absolute worst experience! For days after leaving my ribs still hurt from that cheap mattress. You can feel everything spring in it. The location is horrible as well since it's in the middle of industrial buildings weirdly.

It started with being woken up by the fire alarm 8 times. The building was not on fire and it would go off for a couple seconds before shutting off again. Then when we finally did get some sleep we woke up and the tub would not drain properly and there were dirty washcloths on the bar for the shower curtain. At least the soap smells nice. Went down for breakfast and the yogurt machine is out of order and one whole wall had lost power so there was no juice, no toaster, no coffee, and no microwave. The entire hotel smells funny to top it off. Very unimpressed.

There were dirty washcloths in our shower from a previous guest. There was either a dirty footprint or some sort of footprint shaped black spot on the bathroom door. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work, was absolutely filthy, and had hair stuck to it. The free wifi did not work. It said the network was unavailable. The coffeemaker in the room spit water out the top and sides. The chair in the room looked like it had been chewed on by a rodent. There was a large group (at least 20 people) travelling together partying. They set the fire alarm off 7 or 8 times between 1 and 3am. I have no idea why the hotel didn't throw them out after the first time but they were still there the next morning. The hotel advertised free hot breakfast, but the electricity was not working in the breakfast room, so all they were able to offer us was cold cereal or a frozen biscuit we could take back to our room to microwave. There was no coffee or juice as the dispensers were electric. There was one waffle maker, but the party group informed us they were making waffles for everyone so we would have to wait until they were done before we could use it. There was a stale, musty smell in the hallway. We attempted to speak to a man who identified himself as a manager to another guest, but when we started talking to him about the issues, he said he wasn't a manager and there was no manager available. I requested that a manager call me, but 2 days later, no one has.

Fairly new Renovated bw hotel. My room was Nice and clean. Easy to find right off the main road and had good parking. Internet not very fast but it was also included with the price. You can hear doors opening, closing, conversation from the hallway inside your room. Bed was comfortable.
