Drove here from St. Pete today to check this place out after finding it on groupon. Pretty cool small owned business. The owner was there showing everyone how to use the exhibits, which he built himself! You can tell a lot of hard work and heart went into this place. My boys, almost 8 and 11 had a lot of fun! Favorites were the glow room, the air and fog cannons, and the ball blasters/ clever clean up devices for the balls. Before we left the owner took the time to show us his newest invention, a generator to make lightning ! Good use of 2.5 hours

An amazing fun interactive science based playground. Decided to take my two year old daughter here and was so happy to see her so excited with all of the exhibits. The owner was extremely nice and helped explain the different exhibits throughout the β€œplayground”. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to introduce science and physics concepts to their young ones and beyond. My daughter couldn’t get enough, and we will most definitely be back.

It a "hand's on" science center with around 38 exhibits and some side rooms with other activities. When you arrive, you will get an overview of the facility and be provided some instructions on how to use the displays. The owner Greg is nice, great with kids and has an undeniable passion for all things "science." I went with my son's, who are in the fourth and eighth grades. I overheard my eighth grade son say "this is surprisingly fun." Galactic Playgrounds is low tech, which is good to stimulate kid's imaginations and to get them asking questions about science. Go for one to two hours. If you have something else to do in the Brandon area, adding a stop here for the kids is a good combination. It's in a strip mall, next to a PetsMart. Off Brandon Blvd, not far from the Brandon Mall.

UPDATE: Galactic Playgrounds is now open and we took our kids 2 days in a row. They loved all of the exhibits and asked if we were going to Galactic Playgrounds again, the next day when we left the house! The exhibits are incredibly imaginative and creativily designed. Everything is powered by the kids. They pump water, shoot air, and turn cranks to generate the power needed to activate the exhibits. The Tesla Coils still blow my mind - one of my favorites. This is great for everyone with kids. Schools and homeschool groups need to make this a place they frequent. Glad this is here in Brandon. I highly recommend. New Brandon Hotspot here! I realize that this business is about to open, but hasn't yet. But I am mind-blown that people would leave negative reviews on someones business before it opens. People don't just snap their fingers and a business appears all at once. A google listing is just one element of MANY to open a business. This 5 Star rating is to offset ridiculous people.

We loved our visit and will definitely return. This is what a science center should be. Everything is interactive and gets the kids moving and inquiring. My daughter didn't want to leave and is looking forward going back.

Huge space with lots of room for socially distancing. My 4 year old (who loves science) was fully engaged and entertained. The owner is kind and helpful. We'll definitely be back.

I don't often write reviews, but this place deserves it! We had a birthday party here today for my 5-year old and 15 of his friends and schoolmates. The owner, Greg, is awesome and so easy to work with. The facility was clean, the party room was perfect, and the activities for the kids are just AWESOME. Everything is interactive and powered by kids, they're playing, learning, and having an amazing time. The kids wolfed down food and cake, then raced back out to play some more - even the parents and other adults were having a blast playing with the various activities. The owner gave a fun "science show" and the kids were captivated. There was plenty to keep these 2- to 5-year olds (and one 9-year old) completely engaged for 2.5 hours, and most were not ready to leave when it was time to go. We will definitely be back and loved every second of our experience! Thank you Greg for a magical birthday for our curious, science-loving, space-obsessed, 5-year old!

The owner happened to be there for our first experience and what an amazing host he is. He explained what he had and the rules. My son had a blast and didn't want to leave after two hours of being there, definitely could spend longer doing things more than once/twice. Fun for adults too! Great pricing!

This was a wonderful experience for my children. We all learned more than we expected to. I homeschool my children and wanted to do something different for their field trip. We were able to spend time there in the morning, leave have lunch and go back for more fun.

My niece (8yrs old) had an amazing and fun time at this place. Very different, informative and overall just great time for children and adults alike. The owner is always willing to help and teach children about science. I visited from out of state and would definitely visit again when I am back in town.

This is a great place for kids to mix science and fun! Although many of the exhibits are designed for older kids, I brought my 5 and 7-year-old daughters and they had a blast! For younger kids, go straight to the back and show them the ball launchers and the clever cleanup tools, that will get them going right away! Both of my kids(and me) loved the launchers, the cleaners and the smoke ring shooters, and that boost gave them the energy and curiosity to go after some of the magnetism, electricity and plasma exhibits that would have otherwise been too far over their heads. Both of my girls loved the glow-in-the-dark room, especially drawing on the board with laser pointers. They also liked making their hair stand up with the Van Der Graaf generators and the electric racing cars, and decorating pictures by using magnets to arrange iron filings. I liked all the projectors with space and science exhibits, and how easy it was to see what is actually happening in each exhibit. We will be back soon!

My two daughters (teenager and 4 y.o.) spent great time at Galactic Playgrounds today. They enjoyed everything from running the machines to watching a science movie to a laser drawing in a glowing room. Want to emphasize amazing atmosphere in this place, so warm and welcoming and can't be more thankful for help and guidance from the staff. Our deepest respect to the creator of this wonderful place. It is designed with knowledge, love and passion. This is definitely how we want our children to learn science.

🫀 Let me preface this by saying our child loves this place but from a parents perspective this place is sub-par. They claim to be the cleanest indoor theme park but it's quite disgusting. There is gum stuck on pretty much all of the floor. The under 7 area is littered with popcorn, dust, hair, broken...
