I have to say that I recently went there in desperate need of support and help with not only my mental health but in addition, dealing with the grief of just LOSING MY SON. I was reaching out for help. Not one person said "I am sorry for your loss", not one of them seemed sincere, they made me feel like I was a bother. I think that if you are a miserable person and have lack of compassion in this field, it is not the field for you and you should find another profession. I left the appointment in tears. Plus spent a little over a couple hundred dollars for this and I had just 3 calls with them. Spent almost $200.00 for the initial appointment that was for the intake and the "gentleman" was very rude and snippy, basically telling me to stop talking that he only wants to hear answers to the questions he asked. A patient should not leave an appt like this feeling worse! I recommend that if your looking for help, find another place to go. I wish I could have given a good review because I had high hopes and desperate to receive help. Instead I am beyond saddened, frustrated, angry and broke. :(

They lied on the phone to a close friend of mine and told them they would see a psychiatrist at their second appointment. They charged her to see a RN and then next week an ARNP for 5 minutes and didn’t tell her until the end that they couldn’t prescribe her medication until she saw a psychiatrist. She has been 3-4 weeks without medication at this point and paid more than $250 to still be told they will have to pay more to see someone else.

By far the worst .The provider left it up to my son to go cold Turkey off Adderall when I requested lower dose or change med , in fear he would regress a d his grades and conduct would spiral as He indeed failed the entire last year was finally focusing what did his ADHD vanish? I was told it's up to my 14 yr old ..imagine that ! well he was finally getting good grades and they went progressively downhill to end the school yr with whopping D on final exams and F in class.You go from honor roll to fail? How about that working against the parent My sons ADHD and oppositional definance from adhd is off the chain once again.This place should be shut down they are a detriment.

I have been coming here for about 6-7 months now and I have never had an issue with anything or anyone in this office. I see a lot of reviews saying that the waiting time to be seen can be an hour or more yet I have never waited that long to be seen. Heck I've never waited more than 20 minutes. The doctors and the staff have been great, always polite and courteous. Dr. Hanns is wonderful and he takes time to talk about what's going on in your life or things you may have trouble with so that he can give you the care you need. I'm honestly very skeptical about the other reviews posted as I have never had a bad experience nor long wait times. My only issue with Coastal would be that sometimes you don't get to see the same psychiatrist. I would love to be able to see Dr. Hanns every appointment as he is very caring towards his patients, listens to what you have to say, addresses any concerns or questions you may have regarding your treatment plan, and allows you to be part of the decision making process regarding your treatment. I really like that they offer late appointments and Saturday appointments as well whereas other offices are not open late or on Saturdays. That way I don't have to take time out of work to get an appointment. All in all, I think it's a great practice and I've been very happy with my treatment so far.

Do not I repeat do not use this place it's just another pill mill I went in April for an evaluation was recommended I see a therapist here it is August still have not heard about a therapist. Yet has me come ever month to write me a new prescription.last month I didn't even she her she tells her receptionist she'll just call in my prescription she ups my dose without even seeing me. And you wait over an hour past your appointed time..

1st appointment I had for my son here, we waited about an hour only yo be told that the lady at the front desk did not check us in and that we could not be seen. 2nd appointment was for 12:00 p.m. and at 1:00p.m. we were still waiting to be seen. This place needs to get their stuff straight! My time is just as valuable as theirs and I do not appreciate wasting my time sitting in your waiting room. If the doctor was running behind, a courtesy call would have been nice as I do have other things to do today.

My first appointment for my son with them went rather well. But on the day of our second appointment (which is today 10/19/2018). I was told the second appointment would be done over FaceTime which one I find extremely weird but apparently it’s the new thing to do. Impersonal must be the new in thing. But anyway I had appointment for my son scheduled at 10am and guess what the doctor never called. So I ended having Bring my kid into school super late so much for scheduling early appointments. Thanks Coastal Mentaller health for ruining my entire day and wasting my ****ing time.

Don't get me wrong the doctor is very nice. Extremely friendly and personable however not once has my appointment been on my appointment time. They are so far behind Every time I come in here. It gets absolutely ridiculous how long people have to wait to see the Dr! I'm usually here over two hours every time and don't understand it! They need a better and faster system because in the waiting room all you ever here is the complaints about how long people have to wait even when there are only three or four people in the waiting room. If you can't move your patients in and out of here you need more doctor's or to stop putting people's appointments close together or something. Something has to change and asap!!! There wait time is HORRIBLE!!!!! I'll be looking for a different place to go!

my son had a phone appointment at 1:15 pm and it's 2:30 pm still haven't called

Never use this place. They never answer and never call you back. Seems like all they want to do it push meds on people and then forget about them

Been going here for years. Dr.s are great and take time to listen to patients concerns and are flexible on medication adjustments. While some are nice the majority of the office staff is absolute nightmare. You either cannot get them on the phone, leave messages and no call back, or they never send the link for your online appt, and then you’re told to reschedule. Also been hung up on frequently. Get told different things by different people depending on who you talk to. All of what I’m saying here has happened on multiple occasions. I would recommend searching for somewhere that makes it easier for you to get taken care of, because you cannot guarantee medication for every month as you cannot guarantee the office staff will be able to accommodate an appointment for you. Very hit or miss

DON'T waste your time and money!! Was told after my zoom Interview next appointment I would be helped with my medication (Took over a month to be seen) They lied all I received was a quick 5 min appointment we're she did not listen to me, and said I was required to get labs and an ekg before she would help me. Wouldn't even help me with getting off my current medicine which is making me sick, and sleep all day!

It’s VERY clear these people DO NOT care about your health. All their appointments run INCREDIBLY late, wasting your time and they let you run out of your medication then REFUSE to provide a bridge prescription until you are able to see them. I am changing doctors and will NEVER recommend Coastal Mental Health to ANYONE in need of mental health services.

They asked a lot of personal inappropriate questions and required me to provide proof of custody before offering the service.

The staff there have been nothing but professional and helpful to our family. Thank you for being there for all of us.
