I live out of state, had some difficulty with shipping and figuring out some stuff, Gunther was right there to help every time. 5/5 stars!!

I bought 2 boards this weekend for my teenage boys at Spunkys and got some great assistance from Carter. Next day one of the boards broke on the first wave out. Gunther the manager was more than fair and eventhough the manufacturer had no warranty he offered a full refund. Being a busisess owner it didnt feel right letting him take the full hit so we settled on a discount on a new board. Carter got us set up with another board right away so my son could get back on the water. I appreciate how this tough situation was handled and look forward to buying more boards from Spunky's. Wow after reading the reviews, and how great the service is I feel bad writing this review. We (my husband daughter and I ) went to Spunkys on Sunday May 7th and was not greet by any sales person. There was one person behind the counter and no one in the store. My daughter was looking for a pair of rainbow sandals. There was a sizing display on the floor with the rainbow sandals. She found her size, so I proceeded to ask the guy if they were in the back and my response was we don’t really have any of those anymore. So then why is the display there? That was all the help we received. I try to shop locally and really was disappointed. However we did find a pair on the rack on our own and purchased them without even as much as a thank you. I guess we were there on an off day.

This place is great. We needed a new umbrella on the way to Walton Beach. This place was right on the way and had exactly what we needed. For $42 we got a nice umbrella. They have some really nice beachwear.

Our extended family has been coming from Central NY to Ft. Pierce for 15 years. We have gone to Spunky’s Surf Shop every year for gear and to rent boards. We are pleased to see that the new owners are carrying on the honest friendly business culture of Spunky after his retirement. They have a sweet collection of vintage surfboards also!

Had a great experience over the weekend, stopped in to get a skim board on my way to pepper park and this place popped up on google and they had great inventory and even had a lot of rental options too and the employees were pleasant, overall very happy with my experience at spunkys! Very impressed with all they do for the community as well, I didn’t realize st lucie county was large on surfing! Thank you!

Super customer service even for what is not their normal business, Gunther and the team there are helping me import an amazing SUP board all the way to Greece! Very helpfull and communicative through phone or mail. Cant wait for the board to arrive

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience ordering a board from Spunkys Surf Shop. I explained that I was buying a longboard as a wedding gift for my son & daughter in law and needed it by a certain date. There was great communication between the manager and the staff involved in shipping at their warehouse. The board arrived perfectly packaged (not a ding on it) in excellent condition and with a week to spare. I would absolutely make another big purchase with this shop and highly recommend it to others. One of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever had buying a new surfboard. I just stopped by to grab a wetsuit top, started talking with Gunther, a super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, young guy at the surf shop. Next thing you know , we were outside looking at my board , Gunther made a couple recommendations, and I ended up adding another board for some of the smaller days! It was an absolute joy working with everyone in the store especially patient Gunther!! The store has a fantastic selection of EVERYTHING surf and sun related . I will never buy a board anywhere else!! Thank you, Gunther, for all your help. And I used the board that afternoon and this morning, it’s perfect!!

It's rare to find a surf shop for surfers by surfers. Gunther & Axel were both engaged & super helpful. I wanted a specific board from Sunova that needed a special order and they helped me order it & shipped it without a scratch. Easy, efficient, and friendly. Thanks Dudes!! I'll be back :)

The people that work here are awesome and know what they are doing. My dad recommended them to me to have one of his boards checked out. The guy looked at my board and said it was fine and didn't charge anything on it. He showed me what to look for on the board and when it needs to be repaired. Overall 11/10 experience would recommend.

The experience was flawless from start to finish! The shop spent a ton of time talking on the phone with me, exploring board options, and walking me through the process of ordering. I figured there was no way the timeline they shared with me was accurate, but they delivered earlier than expected! The packaging was top notch and the board is perfection! BACK AGAIN! Husband and I came for board #3. With a great selection and friendly workers we had to come back. Got a new Torq longboard and could not be happier. Definitely reccomend coming and supporting the local surf shop.

Awesome local surf shop. A true Fort Pierce staple. Bought my first board here years ago and keep coming back. Great selection of boards, and very good rates on rentals for folks visiting from out of town. Solid option for board repairs too. Great for locals and visitors.
