Very beautiful and extremely peaceful. One of the most amazing views of the jungle mountains in the area. Easy drive from Tarlac. Nice shops and bathrooms. Must see if you are in the area. So pretty to see, especially at sunset!

A solemn and peaceful monastery for your personal prayers. It includes the overview look from above the mountain. Relaxing and peaceful place to attend mass and pray.

A very nice Church at the top of a mountain, masses are almost daily as well. They charge 50php entrance for a car, and parking is sometimes difficult as most people will park along the road that goes around the Church. Could maybe benefit from more parking, unless I missed a parking lot somewhere. The views are incredible and there’s a couple of places to explore around the area. There are also 2 cafes there which sell a selection of drinks both hot and cold. They also have a good selection of food. I personally had their Iced caramel mocha, a cheeseburger which was good and their buy 1 take one shawarma which was mediocre. The drive to Monasterio is also a nice one with a mostly wide open road up to the Church. Definitely recommend visiting if you have the time. Posted a few pictures I took

A good place to visit If you want to attend sacred mass with your family during this pandemic. You can have the opportunity to feel nature’s fresh air coming from the mountain, and many tourist attractions have been added since my last visit in 2019. There is a P 50 parking /entrance fee for the car. Food is no longer a problem because the place has many food establishments as if you were in the city.

It was a weekday visit to the Monastery. Not so much visitors during our stay. The area is much better looking now than it was before last time we were there. Good place to meditate and to relax the mind. The comfort room was nice and airy. Parking space is sufficient.

Would highly recommend it if you just want to sight see and just enjoy the vast beauty of nature. It's a nice place with definitely a lot of shops to buy from for souvenirs. It has a plethora of food stands as well to buy food from in case you get hungry. Just everything you need to enjoy a view of nature and wander around.

Very peaceful location and great environment. 1 hour drive from Tarlac City town proper. Must visit. Feel like you are in Rio de Jainero, Brazil.

A relic of Jesus' cross is in here that's why a lot of people, pilgrims or visitors, go here. Sunday mass is scheduled at 10:30am-12:30pm. It's a high mass, meaning the responses are sung that's why mass lasts up to two hours. For a solemn and meaningful mini-retreat towards self, go here and you will be at peace. The road going in here is uphill so be sure to flex those driving skills, especially for mnaual vehicles. Entrance fee is P50.00 per vehicle only. Parking is available inside the monastery property. Parallel parking is also available as long as you take one side of the road. You can bring food inside as there are lots of concrete tables available. Better if they will provide larger trash bins where these tables are located to minimize trash being eyesores in this beautiful and peaceful place.

I'm a Tarlaqueño, but this is the first time that I had the chance (and time) to visit Monasterio de Tarlac, which is almost 2 decades old already! 😅 This is a pilgrimage site, you can venerate on the relic of the True Cross where Jesus was crucified. You will also enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains, valleys, river, and fields on top of Mt. Resurrection where the monastery, church, chapel and 30 ft statue of the Risen Christ are built. We travelled about 20 kms (approx. 40 mins) by car from Santa Ignacia via the road traversing Dar-awan and barangays Timmaguab and Calipayan, then through Tibag road going to Brgy. Lubigan, San Jose where the Monasterio and Eco-Tourism park can be found. All roads are made of concrete, and the ones leading to the monastery are well-paved and wide. I think one will enjoy biking here too. By the entrance to the property you will see a sign saying something like: "Visit as pilgrims not as tourists." I hope the visitors take this seriously so that the sacredness and tranquility of the place will be maintained. There are many food carts, vendors, snack bars (even Shakey's!) in the area, even right beside the church.. so people tend to be loud (and wild about food? Haha!) and block the side entrance to the church. Some food vendors also block the scenery. I suggest that they put all the food and souvenir vendors away from the church, gardens, statue and viewing decks. Or maybe just leave a few snack bars (those in permanent structures) while the rest (those selling in tents and carts) can transfer to the parking area before the church. Keep in mind that this is a pilgrimage site and not a marketplace. 😂😔 It's very easy to be distracted by food and souvenir shops when you try to meditate and pray. It also saddens me that some people just leave their trash everywhere! Huhu.. you'll see plastic water bottles, unfinished milk tea cups, and all other sorts of trash lying around or left behind by guests. It's really disappointing that some people still don't care about the environment or take care of the place. I hope they can do something about this.. 😔 Anyway, I still give 5 stars for the overall rating, because the trip was still a memorable and joyous one for me and my family. Church and chapel: 4.5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Location: 5/5 View: 5/5 We'll be back! ❤😍 *San Jose, Tarlac, April 2022*

It is a place of contemplation overlooking the Province of Tarlac. Very peaceful and quite beautiful there. We were able to talk to a monk (frater) while we were there. 😊 One of the must-sees in Tarlac province.

01/25/2022 A 3-hour long trip, and it's all worth it! A holy, peaceful place. Excellent for communing with God and for appreciating what a great architect He truly is. Immerse yourself in the beauty that surrounds this holy ground, and rest in the shade provided by the 30-foot tall statue of the Risen Lord as you take in the panoramic vistas. Also, do not miss going into the church to adore the relic of the True Cross enshrined in the Altar table. Have a truly blessed day!

We visited the Monasterio in December, just after Christmas. The monastery is about 308 meters above sea level. Up here we were almost all alone and enjoyed the silence and the breathtaking view. It is really worth the trip.

A Tranquil Retreat at Morasterio De Tarlac, Philippines I recently had the pleasure of visiting Morasterio De Tarlac in the beautiful province of Tarlac, Philippines. This hidden gem nestled amidst lush greenery and rolling hills provided a serene and rejuvenating experience that left me feeling refreshed and inspired. Upon arrival, I was immediately captivated by the monastery's stunning architecture. The intricate details and grandeur of the building were truly awe-inspiring. The peaceful ambiance that enveloped the entire area instantly put me at ease, making it easy to disconnect from the chaos of everyday life. The monastery offers various activities for visitors seeking spiritual solace or simply a peaceful getaway. One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the well-maintained gardens surrounding the monastery. The meticulously manicured lawns, vibrant flowers, and tranquil ponds created a picturesque setting that invited contemplation and reflection. For those interested in religious practices, Morasterio De Tarlac provides a unique opportunity to witness monks going about their daily routines. Observing their devotion and commitment to their faith was both humbling and enlightening. The breathtaking view from atop the hill where the monastery is situated is another reason why this place stands out. The panoramic vista of Tarlac's countryside is simply breathtaking, especially during sunrise or sunset. It's an ideal spot for photography enthusiasts or anyone seeking a moment of tranquility while taking in nature's beauty. The staff at Morasterio De Tarlac were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with any inquiries or concerns. Their genuine hospitality added an extra layer of comfort to my stay. However, it's worth noting that some areas within the monastery are still undergoing renovations. While this did not significantly impact my overall experience, it may be something to consider for those seeking a completely polished environment. In conclusion, my visit to Morasterio De Tarlac was an unforgettable experience that allowed me to reconnect with myself and find solace in its serene surroundings. Whether you're looking for spiritual enlightenment or simply a break from city life, this hidden sanctuary offers an escape like no other. I highly recommend visiting Morasterio De Tarlac for anyone seeking peace, tranquility, and a chance to immerse themselves in nature's embrace. Note: Ratings are based on personal experiences and preferences may vary.

Church of the Risen Christ. This Monastery houses a piece of the Relic of the True Cross and that's why it's a minor Pilgrimage to this sacred place. One of the main attractions would be the towering statue of Jesus facing the beautiful mountain scenery. The light from the Sun being casted upon the virgin land adds a serene holiness which makes visitors (pilgrims as they call us) reflect on how truly magnificent God's Power is and how much He loves us, that such a calming yet wonderful sight can be felt and seen. Take some time away from your usual busy daily city grind to enjoy and breathe in this piece of Nature above the mountains of Tarlac.

Best for a moment of solitude, self reflection, meditation, relaxation with a stunning view of the Mountains from the Monasteryo De Tarlac. Been here many times and I could see the progress of the place from new cafe to souvenir shop and the development or road widening of New Clark City going here is now much easier.

Very great place to spend the weekend. Reflect, have fun and bond. I love going to this place with my loved ones. One thing that I really hate about it is their parking. I wish they could do more about the parking as well.

The monastery offers an atmosphere that is very ripe for meditating and enhancing spirituality. The restorative nature of the monastery is amplified by its majestic view of mountains and landscapes, zen-like gardens, and the solemn premises of its churches and pathways. Now, the religious will find the monastery more conducive and therapeutic. The Order has introduced improvements and other thoughtful addition of features.

First of all this is a Church, to all tourist and visitors make the initiative to wear a proper dress/clothes, if you can not do it just where anything that might cover some revealing body parts. Sitting on top of a hill, the weather was cool when we went there. It was also drizzling and the wind was strong before we reached the top. The statue of Christ is truly a sight to behold. There many eateries in the place and they also serve gelato made by the monks. This beautiful place is truly worth the time to get there from Tarlac City.

Monesterio de Tarlac is known for its pilgrims to the Relic of the Original Cross of Jesus Christ. Aside from this, it is known for its solemnity and majestic views. I was able to be admire its beauty and majesty today. I am a devoted catholic and this is the first time that I have seen a relic. So, everything is amazing for me. I am hoping I could come back to the place again cause its a 3 hour drive from Manila. Oh and don’t forget to check their mass schedules before going cause you can only touch the relic after the mass. Today is Saturday and they hold their mass at 10:30am. I believe on Sundays, its 10:30am and 3pm. Place is packed with people even on a Saturday so I can’t imagine what it looks like on a Sunday or on religious holidays. For weekdays, I wasn’t able to get their mass schedule but I believe its open everyday from 7am to 5pm. 😊

Monasterio De Tarlac is a very solemn&beautiful place. It is the perfect place to reflect and be thankful to our merciful God.🙏 The mass was extra special, I don't know but I felt really blessed& will surely come to visit again. At the end of the mass, they have the "Veneration" wherein you'll have a chance to touch the enshrined Relic of the Holy Cross. It's just that you have to join a long queue. But it is worth the experience. It is actually a Pilgrimage since the route was not t easy, bring comfortable shoes for you to navigate that entire monastery. There are some shops that sell religious items&souvenirs❤ Mass Schedule: SATURDAY&SUNDAY: 10:30AM & 3PM MONDAY -FRIDAY: 10:30AM ONLY FOOD&DRINKS: Dont' worry about getting hungry&tasty there are several cafes&eatery inside. If you opt to just eat meryenda there are some food carts that sell (fishballs, kwek-kwek, chicken skin, buko juice etc.)

We had our car blessed here. Too hot when we visited. There is also danger of flying roofs since the main church has roofs being flipped over by strong wind. I just hoped that the management either remove these roofs or secure them so that those don't fly around.
