Warning:
this
is
a
long
rant
about
pineapple
rings
in
burgers.
I've
always
been
critical
about
Jollibee's
'Double
Aloha'
Burger
for
having
2
patties
instead
of
2
pineapple
rings.
(Otherwise,
call
it
Aloha
'Double
Burger'
instead!
Makes
better
sense
di
ba?
Hehe.)
And
nope,
you
can
never
order
an
extra
ring
at
Jollibee
-
it
is
simply
not
allowed.
But
here
at
Waves
Burger
-
a
nondescript
hamburger
joint
along
McArthur
Highway
that's
become
hugely
popular
among
Maloleños
-
yes,
you
can.
Flexibility
to
meet
each
customer's
preference,
I
think,
has
helped
many
startup
food
establishments
thrive
during
the
pandemic,
and
the
food
app
delivery
era,
creating
a
market
niche
for
customers
-
both
young,
like
the
ones
I
frequently
see
dining
in
here,
and
the
older
ones
like
me
-
who
all
value
quality,
indviduality,
and
taste.
A
fair
warning
to
the
dinosaurs
who
refuse
to
evolve
with
the
rapidly
changing
times.
You
can't
just
buy
out
other
food
and
resto
brands
and
hope
to
continue
dominating
the
market
-
without
innovating.
All
things
said,
I
enjoyed
my
Waves
Double
Aloha
Burger
with
two
pineapple
rings,
as
requested.
Even
just
one
ring
would
have
won
me
over,
because
the
slice
is
thick
enough
to
be
felt
by
the
taste
buds
melding
perfectly
with
the
patty,
vegetables,
and
sauce
-
very
much
unlike
Jollibee's
super
reed-thin
slice
that
you
can't
feel
at
all,
and
which
incidentally
prompted
the
unsatisfied
customer
in
me
to
demand
an
extra
slice.
End
of
review.
I'm
going
back
to
sleep.
Hope
everyone
is
safe
after
that
5.7
magnitude
quake,
especially
to
the
folks
out
there
in
Occidental
Mindoro.
