This is our favorite place to walk, let the kids swim, play Pokémon Go, and take pictures! It's never overly busy and has plenty to explore! Beautiful park all year round!

Decent little place to hike. I remember passing this place a lot as a teen when someone owned the property

Decent-sized park with walking paths, creeks, and a bridge. Nice signs with information on trees and birds.

Gravel Parking, Nice Signs, Maps, RestRoom, Picnic Area, Red Bridge The trails are very nice especially the ones in-between the pine trees. Follow the creek around the green trail. Be careful lots of trail crossings so it's easy to get lost. But at least you can barely hear the road also. I didn't see any snakes and people were swimming in the creek.

I've been out 3 times now and not hit every trail yet. This is a great place. Easy hiking. Solitude. Beauty. Convenience.

I did not see a single piece of trash, which is either a sign of respectful visitors, a great group of volunteers, or a well staffed park and rec department. I really enjoyed the trails that meander over the prairie. With the trails simply mowed into the high grass, no trail blazes are needed. Wonderful small creeks and abundant wildflowers.

Nice place for birding and seeing other wildlife. I like the grass fields and full-time water source. Early mornings and evenings should be good times to visit. Of course it is also a nice place for a picnic or just to cool off in the creek! Wish I lived closer!

Great, clean little park that I didn't even know was there. Had baby reveal party with plenty of room, fairly clean restrooms. Make sure you hang a banner or post on board yourself. Unless you don't mind people wandering into your event. We didn't mind.

Such a beautiful little park. Well, it isn’t little… It looks small from the road, but this place is huge. It scenic walking trails that extend far back into the forests, and as the name implies… it’s built around Schoal Creek. The water is great to put your feet in. It’s usually quiet. If you have kids and want swings, cages, and tubes, this isn’t your show, but it’s got it where it counts.

We had a birthday party for my nephew this passed weekend and also last year and I'd definitely recommend renting the pavilion for small family get togethers and parties. The bathrooms were clean and the creek was flowing nicely and not too deep to play around in. They also have a couple walking trails to explore, but watch out for snakes because we did spot one by the creek.

Nice park. Beautiful rock formations. They had a short history of the property as you walked in. They had color photos of the different birds you could potentially see. The birds were in groups that showed the "resident birds" and the migratory birds that pass through the area along with the time of year you might see them. They also had information on what trees and plants are around the park as well as info on the ecosystem of the creek. I would definitely recommend checking it out. Clean restrooms.

I am so lucky to have this park so close to home. I love the wide variety of trails. Some are in the woods, some by big rocks, some in grasslands and the best by the creek. There is an area by the shoals perfect for swimming and wading in the summer and a couple of tables by the creek for picnicking. They have a love covered pavilion and restrooms. If you live in the area you must visit and get back to nature in Shoal Creek Park
