I am a current resident. No matter what number I use to contact the office I get the same phone menu. No matter the choice it gets sent to voicemail. If I need assistance there is no reliable way to get in contact with the leasing office. Email isn’t much better. Some emails go unanswered and others take hours to get a response. Maintenance is decent for small stuff but anything larger than light AC work takes days or longer. Our kitchen light was out for three or four days before anything was done about it. Our dishwasher’s heating element has been out for more than a month now and each work order I’ve submitted has been “completed” without any actual work being done. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. The leasing office staff is inconsistent at best. Catalytic converters stolen, trespassers in people’s apartments, dogs getting poisoned by something in the grass. The security cameras don’t work. Half the gate attendants are asleep when you pass by them. Stay away from this place.

I love my stay at the retreat so far! Jessica did an awesome job helping me finding the perfect apartment. She took me for a tour showed me 3 different models. Finalizing paper works, settling internet and electricity were also so easy with her assistance. The retreat is a beautiful gated community in a very quiet safe neighborhood. They respond to maintenance requests promptly and quickly. + they invite food trucks to the community which is a big plus! Since I visited this community it has been so hard for me to accept or look at other apartment communities.

The Retreat at Mountbrook is an excellent apartment complex. The living spaces are well laid out and provide great, comfortable living with plenty of space to entertain. The kitchen area is spacious and has plenty of room for all of your dishes and cookware. The amenities include an event room, swimming pools, exercise rooms, and a great mail room. Above all, the management team is excellent. I highly recommend Angel Cockrell. She has been a huge help answering all of our questions and concerns, swiftly responds to emails, and is very friendly!

Safe, easy place to live. Roomy apartments. Pools are great. Gyms are convenient. Easy to move in and out, very little hassle. Definitely recommend.

I’ve been searching for the right apartment since February. The Retreat at Mountain Brook seem to check all of my boxes, and the best part was working with Jessica G. She is amazing and definitely an assist to the company. She was so professional and her customer service was off the charts. In one day we looked at 7 different apartments and she was so patient. Jessica remembered the little things like my dogs name, conversations with my daughter regarding her likes and dislikes and the things I was looking for. Over the course of 4 months she would follow up with me, because I couldn’t finalize my decision. The entire time, I didn’t feel any pressure. I felt at home before I even signed the lease. I am so grateful for Jessica. Thank you for everything.

If you are looking for a nice, affordable apartment with great amenities, you will love this place as much as I have. Moved in last September. Every maintenance request was met with a high priority and superior service. GREAT communication, GREAT team in the office, GREAT guards at the gates. If I ever move back to this part of town, I will not even look anywhere else.

The leasing consultant was very helpful and did all she could to help me to meet the rental requirements. I appreciated that. All of the personnel are friendly and helpful. I would recommend The Retreat as a nice place to live.

The water is shut off at least every other week for emergency maintenance. Either invest in your community and fix the problem for good, or don't claim you are a luxury community when that is just not true.
