After
a
visit
for
lunch
elsewhere
in
East
Moline,
I
desired
a
place
to
grab
a
tea
and
relax
for
a
bit.
A
quick
Google
search
revealed
East
Moline
Coffee
Company
was
not
far
from
my
current
location,
so
I
decided
to
head
there.
Not
gonna
lie,
I
definitely
missed
the
place
going
south
on
Archer
Drive
and
had
to
double
back.
That's
probably
a
little
me
not
paying
attention
and
partly
the
small
profile
of
the
building
in
which
EMC
resides.
There's
a
big
yellow
sign
out
front
too,
so
again,
partly
issues
with
me.
The
outside
of
the
building
is
almost
all
new
red
brick.
Up
close,
it
looks
really
solid.
The
patio
space
on
both
the
ground
level
and
roof
of
the
building
also
come
into
view
too,
however.
I
could
definitely
see
returning
here
in
warmer
weather
on
the
weekend
to
hang
out
for
a
bit
to
sip
a
beverage
and
relax.
The
interior
is,
honestly,
right
out
of
what
I'd
dream
of
for
a
local
coffee
shop.
There's
a
variety
of
seating,
but
while
there
are
some
small
tables
and
some
high
top
seating,
many
of
the
available
chairs
are
comfy
looking.
I
expect
one
or
two
chairs
in
most
places
like
this,
maybe
a
sofa,
but
there
are
probably
at
least
a
dozen
places
that
have
more
than
your
average
plushiness.
So
great!
The
overall
aesthetic
beyond
this
is
pretty
clean
and
nice,
too.
Newer
hardwood
laminate
runs
the
floor
throughout
the
space,
with
painted
dark
blue
and
white
walls
throughout.
The
solid
ceiling
provides
a
variety
of
lighting,
including
accent
strips,
florescent
fixtures,
and
suspended
lights
in
what
appear
to
be
mason
jars.
Below
a
large
flat
screen
television
close
to
the
counter
sits
an
electric
fireplace
-
hopefully
functional
in
the
colder
months.
The
whole
of
the
interior
is
soft
and
warm
and
was
quiet
throughout
my
visit.
I
chose
a
peach
flavored
black
tea
for
my
beverage,
which
was
soon
provided
to
me
after
ordering.
I
inquired
with
the
baristas
as
to
what
company
they
get
their
loose
leaf
from
-
turns
out
the
company
is
Divinitea,
which
I
was
not
previously
familiar
with.
I
enjoyed
this
tea
-
it
had
the
expected
peach
and
citrus
flavor
and
was
otherwise
mild
and
easy
to
consume.
Definitely
something
I
return
for
again.
The
one
thing
I
really
want
to
come
back
for
at
some
point
are
the
available
pastry
and
baked
goods
(I
just
wasn't
hungry
during
this
visit).
They
have
some
pretty
big
cinnamon
rolls
and
brownies
available
at
the
counter
that
look
really
yummy.
Maybe
on
a
return
trip
I'll
try
one
of
them.
I
really
like
this
place
-
I'm
sad
that
it's
all
the
way
over
in
East
Moline,
far
from
my
home
in
Bettendorf.
Thanks,
EMC!
