Very cool modern location, great rooftop for golden hour, and really delicious food. We went only to the restaurant and did not stay at the hotel so I can’t speak to the lodging aspect. We had oysters there which were just the right size and fresh. The Thursday special when we went was $5 old fashioneds and cosmos, so I had to have a sour old fashioned. The drinks were great and I always had a full drink on the table with the refills coming frequently. I had the schnitzel sandwich which came with fries that were like an artisanal version of McDonald’s fries they were awesome. The schnitzel was very filling and pounded to perfection, not too thick and not uneven. My wife had the gyro and it was killer! So much food. There’s no way even I could’ve finished it. The lamb gyro was chef’s kiss and I think they make their own pita because it was so warm and fluffy. I took a picture of the downstairs restaurant but it doesn’t do it justice. You can bring drinks upstairs to the rooftop so after dinner we closed out and brought our drinks upstairs to watch the sunset which was very pretty. I definitely want to come here for their brunch!!

We had brunch at the Apis this past Sunday. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. We love the aesthetic, and the service is always great. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the hangover burger. Can’t wait to come back!

I visited the restaurant the location s gorgeous, unfortunately the vegan dish I got wasn't flavorful it was bland. I think they cater to.a different audience which is fine just not vegans. Vegetarian is different than vegan and sometimes it is confused. Turmeric is a bit strong used on rice another flavoring may have been more palatable but the restaurant is indeed gorgeous. The service was good it was only the option chosen I didn't care for so sorry.

Kicked off my birthday weekend at the rooftop bar. Fantastic cocktails. Malachi was welcoming, attentive and great fun to have at our table. My in-laws stayed at the hotel and their room looked fantastic. Decor and setting was super welcoming and put together. Highly recommend you stay here if it fits your budget. Easy to get to any other attractions downtown and the beach of Lake Michigan.

We attended the Old Forester bourbon tasting. The even was well organized, the bourbon was excellent, and we loved the overall experience. We had dinner afterword and the dining experience was just as excellent.

We had a phenomenal experience at the Apai restaurant. To start the service was impeccable. My son has dietary needs and the hostess was more than accommodating in talking with the kitchen to clarify ingredients and making substitution/menu suggestion for us. Our actual server was absolutely wonderful, very attentive and just lovely! Let’s talk about the food- beyond delicious and very creative. My husband had the pork chop. It was so juicy and slightly tangy with a subtle honey mustard gastrique. Perfectly balanced and paired with a generous polenta cake that was rich and satisfying. I ordered “the bird” a smoked bebera chicken that was the BEST chicken I’ve ever had. It was dry rubbed yet juicy and perfectly spiced. Wine selection is on point and we finished with pumpkin crème brûlée for the win. It was light yet decadent all in one. We will come back when visiting again! This restaurant is wonderful!

Came for brunch at 10am on Saturday. We were the only ones at the time. Such a beautiful and clean restaurant and the staff were so welcoming! Loved seeing a big open kitchen too! We were blown away by everything… even the coed bathrooms ;) (referring to the insane complaint by one customer that the bathrooms were single occupancy for multiple genders) 🙄 We had the monkey bread, APIS Benedict, pancakes, coffee, old fashioned and the Day Dreamer. You can tell a lot of thought and love went into marrying the flavors and I’m drooling just thinking about it. 10/10 recommend. We aren’t from the area but would definitely come again.
