Great park. Trails were good. Even after heavy rains. I go to this park in summer and winter (winter = cold day, and summer = warm or hot day -jk). And the park is changing so much throughout summer that I can go there and see something new. Park is always better than you expect next time you go. Try to go at dusk and you will see all kinds of beautiful animals, birds.

Great trails for any type of exercise or just a strool.

Fourth Lake Forest Preserve is a hidden gem. Trail access starts at the parking lot of the LCFP maintenance building; go north or south to connect to other forest preserves. The trail south passes under Grand Avenue and leads to a beautiful grove of oak trees with a short spin off trail to a scenic overlook of Fourth Lake. Sit on a bench and enjoy the view. This is a good place to look for waterfowl. There are multiple raised nesting sites on this surprisingly large lake. Thanks, LCFPD, for taking care of this hidden gem.

Excellent views by trail. You can enjoy nature's beauty throughout the trail. There are variety of Prarie flowers in every season... it's never dull.

Peaceful and quiet, nice trails, beautiful views

Nice walking path, great for biking. You have to park at the Lake County Forest Preserve Opeartions Building and they have a side trail that leads to the main trail.

It's a pretty view great for running recommend going their.

Visited for 3 hour training on identifying invasive plant species. Training included how to best eliminate these plants.

Love our forest preserves. They've been doing a lot of clean up & you can finally see Fourth Lake from the trail! Grateful thanks to our land stewards.

It's one of the hike lake county hikes. A little different from other sites as you start at an operations facility, but once you get away from the lot and building you are back to nature.
