Stopped in this afternoon for late coffee, apricot danish and the turkey, cheese and horseradish in a light puff pastry. Fast friendly service. Great decor! Love the atmosphere. Great local bakery / bistro. Indoor, Outdoor seating available. Family friendly, handicapped accessible. Definitely a local favorite! Everything fresh, all the time. Best local Fresh Baked Bread Variety! 5 Stars!

Good morning from Paris( wait, I am in Detroit 😎) yes, you may forget that you are in Detroit for a moment and think you are in a small cafe in Bonne-Nouvelle once you bite into these delicious butter croissants while you are enjoying a great shot of espresso. The baguettes are also crispy and airy in the middle, just perfect. Best bakery that I know here. Try and you can thank me later

Wonderful bread and pastry. If you have a problem with carbohydrates and calories this is not the place to go. I really enjoy going to get a coffee and a Danish. The cannolis are hand assembled fresh to order.

Went for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. The tomato bisque was warm, fresh, and perfectly creamy. The Italian panini had a great crunch to it and the fresh basil and mozzarella really elevated this sandwich. My girlfriend tried the Caesar Salad which I would definitely recommend to skip on because it was fairly average and there are better options to choose from! The atmosphere is the perfect rustic Italian setting and we will for sure be back in the summer to take advantage of their beautiful patio.

Crispelli's is a great place to start the day. There is a wide variety of sweet and savory pastry choices. Very clean and well lit as their big glass front faces East. If you're in or near Royal Oak, don't miss it.

The smell of fresh bread is powerful as soon as you walk in the first set of doors. The setup is great, with ceiling to floor glass showcases to model all the fabulous breads offered. There is a nice patio for outdoor gatherings with plenty of space. There are sandwiches, breads by the loaf, sweet treats for here or to go. Tried the ham and cheese croissant, the meat was piled on thick and was toasted to perfection. The chocolate chip cookie is well done, crispy edges with gooie goodness in the middle. I tried the lemonade, you can get any flavors in it you'd like. The lavender lemonade had good lavender flavor but it was sweeter than I'd like, I wouldn't get it against .

One of my absolute favorite places in Royal Oak and Oakland county! We go to Bread almost weekly for fresh bread and pastries. I love their marble-rye. You can get a 1/2 loaf sliced. Their quiches make an excellent brunch with something sweet, like a sweet roll. Sometimes we eat in or take home. Everything is fabulous. They also have a friendly and efficient staff. Treat yourself to a Paris-style bistro right in Royal Oak.

    - great assortment of bakery items and gourmet bread. - always fresh stuff and if you not early enough, you may not get it! - especially I love the croissants and muffins and the cheese danish is mouth watering. - even before the pandemic, the seating area is limited but we'll made with rustic decor. - great coffee too. Always go there on Saturday mornings to pick up a good baked goodness. One of the best bread and bakery place in the area.

Popular bakery with indoor and outdoor seating. We showed up at 8 am on Sunday and there was a line of around 8 people that mostly stayed the same length as we ate outside. The pecan roll was good, but I found it too sweet to finish even though I have a sweet tooth. The sourdough was not bad, but only faintly sour. If you like a strong sour flavor in your sourdough, you may be disappointed. But overall the experience was pleasant and I'd go again sometime and try something else. The dessert case on the left looked good.

Note: first impressions review: Cute, aesthetic, clean, and professional bakery. The staff are warm and welcoming. The atmosphere cultivates a warm and welcoming place to sit down and grab coffee and/or a treat with a friend or for professional meetings. My first impressions we’re enjoyable. I would come again 😁.

What a cute atmosphere! The staff is very friendly. The food is AMAZING! This is the Italian sandwich with pastries. So delicious. The coffee is good too, I had the French roast. I will be coming here more often!

I'm here almost every week and I have nothing but compliments for the staff here. They are obviously passionate for their work and it shows in the quality of the food and the service. They handle long lines with grace and efficiency. The bread is always incredible and the pastries are gorgeous.

We come to Crispelli’s every time we are in Michigan from LA. We even had our wedding rehearsal dinner here! Never disappoints! What makes it even better is “Pizza Pete”. We’re so glad he is back… he makes the experience for kids so amazing! His pizza ideas are great and he is always so happy and friendly, even when super busy!

Excellent bakery with an exceptional variety of staple bread and pastries. Everything looks amazing and it’s a great place to get a coffee and a sandwich. Bread is located at the north end of Downtown Royal Oak on Main and it's definitely worth a visit.

So cute! I've gone to Crispelli's so many times but I just only discovered the bakery. They had some really great options in terms of baked goods, sandwiches and other lunch type foods. Service was so great and everyone was super friendly, loved the coffee and baked goods I had from here.

11/12/23: Came here on a Sunday. Got cherry danish, almond raspberry danish, blueberry muffin, italian sub, some pecan roll thingy, vanilla bean cheesecake. The cheesecake was the best of the bunch; really smooth and creamy. The cherry danish was also great. The other danish was just okay; too much nuts, not enough jelly. Same with the pecan roll thingy. Blueberry muffin was good as well; loved the actual blueberries inside, but the crunchy sugar on top is unnecessary IMO. The sub was good, but I think they put a mayo on it... or maybe it was a garlic aioli sauce? It wasn't bad, just not for me. Service was attentive and polite, but nothing out of the ordinary. I will return for the cheesecake; maybe try some bread as they looked pretty good(and baking good bread myself is such a hassle...)

Absolutely the best bakery in the area! Staff are super nice every time, and their bread is always top notch. Best place to find sourdough or to grab a delicious lunch or breakfast.

This is a good bakery. I like their bread and mixed berry loafs. Their sweets are a bit crunchy (even the cinnamon rolls) and dry. Service was fine, but I did feel like the cashier kept trying to speed things along even though there was no line.

Incredible place. Just beware of the splintering surfaces / unders of their round tables that catch fabric and can apparently cut you open. I’ve written Crispelli’s about this. Hopefully, they can rectify this small problem quickly because the place is magic!

The croissants are good, the service not too friendly but not so bad and the coffee was good as well.

A bakery like you're stepping back in time. The smells... The views and wonderful breads... Plus options to dine in like the quiche.. yummy! Lots of good vibes here!
