Don't go there if you are afraid of heights. There is a wooden structure that had collapsed and the ledge is very narrow. At one point you have to hold onto a big protruding rock in order to pass. This is between Rozhen and the Pyramids. I don't know the condition of the path from Melnik, as we didn't go there. A really nice walk. 1.5 km from Rozhen Monastery and about 3 km from Melnik (but the trail from Melnik is quite an uphill climb. From this viewpoint you can see both the Rozhen Monastery and the town of Melnik and of course some really amazing topography.

One of the most beautiful places in Bulgaria. Easily reachable from Rozhen monastery, take the path towards Melnik, and it is 40min hike. Much better then coming all the way from Melnik. Amazing views!

Great place to visit however we found it a little tricky to find the hike. The location on google maps is a great place to view them from but in order to hike out to them you need to follow the path the Melnik from the Rozhen Monastery.

Amazing place with beautiful views to Pirin National Park mountains. Great in autumn, when leaves are getting its yellow and red colors. Starting point is in the Rozhen monastery nearby. Don't be mistaken with the another Rozhen in Rhodope mountains, this one is situated next to the Melnik town.

Beutiful views from both sides! Easy short hike 10-15min in an open field\forest path. From Rozhen Monastery parking take the path closer to the parking lot that leads to the locked gates. You'll see a sign leading to the trail on your right (pic attached). Walk uphill till you get to the fork, take left path. A short walk and you'll get to the viewpoint with the gazebo.

Spectacular! One way to experience is via the hiking trail linking Melnik and the Monastery of Rohzen, about 4km long and about 300m of ascending elevation.

Magnificent scenery. These beautiful pyramids are technically made of sand and rocks, but in fact are a God's creation.

Amazing hike, view and area! We did not expect such beautiful trail, we loved it! On the route from Rozhen Monastery to Melnik is the best scenery - green line to follow.
