Reading the reviews before I paid a visit, I was looking forward to it but after my visit, I was much disappointed ! Hot food served on cold plates, soup out of a tin, chips of a frozen packet, strange tasting beef meat...., just a normal restaurant serving cheap grade processed food! The smoke of the kitchen comes into the dining area which is unacceptable, the cigarette smoke from the indoor smoking area comes into the non smoking dining area! Perhaps its a popular place for people from Plovdiv, obviously they do not know what a good restaurant is... but I expected much much better from a Restaurant with such a high rating on Google and placed in an European city!

The food is good. Unfortunately the service is poor. Waitresses are lazy and disoriented.

I love the food. It is absolutely delicious. There are many options and everything that I have tried so far tasted great. The atmosphere is kind of ok. It is a bit noisy though.

There is a good clima ans is relatiely calm. A differrent thing is separate room for smoking that ja very useful during the winter and summer.

You can choose delicious food by the rich menu in this place. There is good ambience for dinner here, also. I can prefer that will come to Plovdiv everybody. Thanks for good foods and perfect service.

Food was great, good portions, delicious and with relatively fair prices. Service was perfect and the people attending to our table helpful and polite.

The food may be good, i haven't tried yet, but the way the staff treats customers is ridiculously bad. We had a reservation for 8 people, turned out to be 9, the hostess did not even check if there is a free chair (their was) denied our request ti put extra chair. I saw the free chair and had to point it out in order to stay here. Smoking is not allowed on the edge of the open space, but there is no sign for that also,so when they saw someone from our company smoking the started yelling at us. I would not come here a second time for sure. Not with that staff they have !!!!

The food is so delicious, i have no nore words. You must try it.

Very good food for normal prices

There was no reserve on the table. Me the wife and the kids were sent away after we sitted on the table. Terrible service.

Whenever I'm in Bulgaria I make a piont to stop here. Its one of my favorite places. Anything you order you know will be good.

Nice big restaurant, large selection and good service. Unfortunately my mum’s pork was spoiled and returned and they didn’t think to take it off the bill! They did so after asking so hopefully they’ll learn.

Having eaten at some great places in the old town we were looking for a more local experience. Located in a mainly residential area the place was full by 8pm on a Wednesday which seemed like a good sign and it seemed like we were the only tourists. We claimed the only table not booked. Restaurant Riviera didn't disappoint; good hearty traditional fayre, well prepared (not gourmet) and comprehensive menu, good portion sizes, very reasonably priced and in a modern stylish venue. Some reviews aren't favourable re waiting staff but our experience was that it's a very busy service and not a tourist restaurant. Not so much poor service more like poor language skills on our part.

We ordered chicken sticks from the restaurant and they were spoiled, it looked like they expired. Horrible experience.
