A place to be if you are craving Japanese food when in Plovdiv. We ordered Yakitori and Donburi, both were delicious! What makes it even better is the pricing, it's a good price with the quality they provide. They have both indoor and outdoor seating area. Though its quite hard to find parking right infront of the restaurant. Other than that we had a great experience. Highly recommended.

The only Japanese restaurant in Plovdiv. You can try ramen soup only here, cause no any delivery has it in menu. Nice Sakura cocktail, huge and well prepared pawn with soba soup, which I usually buy here. Sushi could be more accurate and bigger. Ramen is overpriced and many important ingredients are missed. You can pay with cash or card.

Great sushi place, affordable prices, good customer service and real good environment. We had some of the signature rolls too and it was all delicious. Would love to come back. The cons: far from the Downtown, super-small parking and the parking lot seems like under construction (at least as of April 2022), so from a far it does not look appealing and being like 20 meters from the street, it is a bit hard to spot if you've never been there. There is a relatively big, but not bright advertisement plate on the street, which is supposed to help you see it, but we didn't noticed it. And as many people are not real skilled chopstick ninjas and on many sushi restaurants it is a common thing to spill some soy sauce on the table, it would be good for the staff to come, check and clean the table a bit more often, as well as when kids visit to immediately offer forks to them. But as I said, overall the place is great, food is delicious and we had a good experience. Also the tea is much better, than the Sencha tea, which is usually offered in most places I've been. I wish they keep the quality in the future and this parking lot gets a bit better. We had real trouble with our taxi driver to find the place and to find how to get to the parking lot, as Google Maps disoriented us a bit. One thing we really loved were the origami on the ceiling.

When you enter Japonica during the day you will be greeted by a very intimate atmosphere. The lights are perfectly lit to make you feel comfortable. The waitress was a little out of it but was still polite and helpful. The food was absolutely gorgeous. The texture of the gyoza was just right the tempura was crispy and filling. The ramen was the big boy of my order. The only weak thing in my opinion was the slightly dry meat. Overall i would definitely recommend Japonica as it is a proper japanese restaurant. I will definitely visit again.

We have arrived an hour and a half before closing and all the fish was over. We've ordered the ramen and it was really bad with pasta instead of noodles and the pork was awful..

I absolutely loved it. The place was warm tranquil and peaceful, the food was amazing probably the best Japanese cuisine in the city.

Not only is the food amazing but also the staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is super relaxing and calm! My 5 year old loves the sushi! Whenever we are in Plovdiv we always come back for a delicious Japanese food at Japonica!

The most relaxing and zen atmosphere I`ve ever experienced in a restaurant. The service was on an incredibly high level and everything was well-organized, neat, clean and fulfilling on every aspect! Couldn`t be more satisfying! The food of course was amazing, interesting, exotic, delicious and ready in a few moments after ordering! A perfect place for a special occasions! Highly recommended!

Amazing place! Stylish, sparkling clean, fast service, polite personnel! The food was very delicious, authentic and in great portions! We tried some sushi, miso soup and shrimps and all ingredients tasted fresh with remarkable looks! We would definitely visit again!
