The house belonging to a rich merchant whose trade in spice and silk led him all the way to India, was built between 1835 - 1840 in an eclectic style but predominantly oriental influence. The facade facing the inner courtyard is a rich blue with decorations. The bathroom is also splendid looking but the whole house is a gem in architecture, painting and decorations. The entry fee is small: I paid 15 leva to visit 5 places in the city

Interesting, atmospheric, you can pay by card. You can buy a combined ticket for 15 leva, where there are 7-8 museums and locations to choose from, of which you can visit 5, it is profitable. There was not enough historical information about this building, there were no information stands anywhere. Although, of course, you can read on the website, but when you are in the museum itself, it is most convenient to learn information from it, in my opinion. There was information on the sign at the entrance, I don't know how convenient it is. The entire exhibition demonstrates the life of the 19th century. The employee was friendly. There is a toilet.

Hindliyan House is one of the most beautiful private residences I have seen in my travels. The numerous gorgeous wall murals, wooden furniture and unique 2 areas bathroom added many pages to my impression of how beautiful houses can be. One area which I am really attracted to are the beautiful wall murals. It is drawn by master craftsman of the days and showcases many parts of Europe such as Venice. It is intentionally drawn in the curved corner in the middle of a wall to give the impression the scenery is viewed from a window. In addition, the ceilings have beautiful patterns weaved onto them (shown in photos). I didn't know I will pay so much attention to ceilings during my visits 😂 If you’re drawn to visit Plovdiv because of heritage and culture, this is one stellar example of Bulgarian architecture you definitely shouldn’t miss.

Absolutely beautiful. In the second floor there is a fountain that was used with roses water and this perfume is around the room. The house is beautiful from inside and outside. Highly recommended

The Hindliyan House is my personal favorite among Plovdiv's revival houses. However, it is only recommended for those who do not dislike the mix of history and art. The bright blue facade is already an eye-catcher, the wonderfully beautiful interior is a delight, which is complemented by a small gallery and sculptures in the garden. The well-being of the house is very important to the staff; visitors are not allowed into the house without overshoes.

Went here with a combo ticket. House was very pretty, information a bit minimal. Quick but interesting visit.

The man who worked at this house was very helpful in providing information and answering questions. He was very knowledgeable about the family and explained the furnishings, plumbing, and frescos well. Such a treat to visit!

The most impressive of the houses on the shared ticket. Also helps a lot that it has a very knowledgeable and proactively helpful curator. Great experience.

One of the most representative museum houses in Old Plovdiv. Keeps the original 19th century interior as it was then.

A stunningly gorgeous house - if you only see one of the museum houses in Plovdiv, see this one. Hilariously it took us a while to find, as I was looking for a beautiful blue house. (It's brown on the outside 🤣) Family ticket for 10lv, well worth the price. Recommended.

Truly loved the architecture, history and ambiance of the house! However, the stairs going to the main floor are quite steep / dangerous. There is NO railing to hold onto and I worry that a tourist may fall and hurt themselves badly. Highly recommend exploring accessibility tourism standards and making improvements on that staircase.

The house was built in 1835. İt is one of the few houses in the Old Town that remained with it's original design and structure. İt is well decorated and furnished. İt was owned by an Armenian merchant from the city. Around five minutes to see it.

It is interesting to watch how the rich people lived in the old times. The rose fountain is not to be missed and the main dinning room. It has an excelente view and the staff personal is super friendly and helpful. The price is 15 bgn but I would recommend to buy the pass to visit all of the houses, if you have the time.

Beautiful residence. If you've got it, flaunt it was the motto. Elaborately decorated walls and ceilings, and that fountain with rose water was amazing.

The best museum of such kind in Plovdiv! And the manager is a very professional and friendly guy. Been there twice and will definitely visit the place again

A spacious, stylish, beautiful and well-preserved house with great tour guides. Only here you can see an indoor 200-year-old marble bathroom with glass roof. The house, which once have belonged to a wealthy trader, travelling often to India, is now a display of Bulgarian luxury from the beginning of 19th century. I highly recommend it if you are visiting Plovdiv.
