(Translated by Google) Amazing venue. The building in which the exposition is housed was built in the middle of the 19th century and is a typical representative of the Bulgarian Revival architecture. The foundations are made of stone and step on the vertical rocks of Taksim Tepe. The main facade is formed by a four-column portico, which bears a richly decorated rock pediment. The one-storey residential part is an example of the widespread Plovdiv symmetrical house. The central part is occupied by a solemn hall with colorful walls and a wooden ceiling with a carved composition "sun". The transition from the ceiling to the walls is richly painted - alternating 12 medallions with landscapes and 12 baskets of flowers. The publisher's office is painted with an interesting chess ornament, one of the walls is occupied by cupboards with authentic carved doors. In the north-west room there is a large stove with original plastic plaster decoration. The wooden ceiling here has been replaced with plastered and painted with decorative portrait painting. Johann Gutenberg is depicted in one of the four medallions. The exposition of the Regional Historical Museum - Plovdiv, on the history of book publishing in Plovdiv and the Plovdiv region was opened in 1975 in the home of the founder of modern Bulgarian book publishing Hristo Gruev Danov. Unique samples of the printed Revival book are displayed in six halls. The stages in the development of the educational work are traced on the basis of the publishing activity of Hristo G. Danov and Dragan Manchov - main suppliers of the Bulgarian schools with textbooks and teaching aids, as well as the activity of other prominent writers and educators such as x. Naiden Jovanovic, Joakim Gruev and others. The role of the city of Plovdiv as a center of Bulgarian education and culture in the second half of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century is reflected. The atmosphere in Hristo Danov's office has been recreated exactly, a reconstruction of a classroom from the era of the Bulgarian Revival has been arranged. In the annex of the house-museum are exhibited printing equipment and a machine type "American", original photos from the printing house of Hristo Danov in Plovdiv and a bookstore with textbooks and books in the style of the former booksellers has been restored. The "Book Publishing Department in Bulgaria in the Second Half of the 19th and the Beginning of the 20th Century" department of the museum stores over 5,000 volumes of books, unique editions, maps and textbooks and aids, household items, personal belongings and correspondence of Hristo Danov and his publishing house. The building is an architectural and historical monument of national importance. (Original) Amazing venue.

DO NOT CONFUSE THIS WITH THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM! Did my all caps grab your attention? At the moment, this museum houses artifacts and things associated with the unification of Bulgaria. Perhaps interesting to Bulgarians, but not much other context for foreigners like myself.

(Translated by Google) It is located in Saedinenie Square - next to the monument and the building of the Archaeological Museum. This is the building of an exhibition dedicated only to this period. The restoration is done on the holiday - with uniforms and equipment from the museum. You can use a guide or participate in any of the educational programs offered. The halls of the expositions are two-storey, and the center has a spacious foyer which they use for readings, concerts, celebrations, cultural holidays ... You can also watch the period of the Unification of Bulgaria in a movie. Other historical periods can be traced to other museum buildings. They'll explain everything when you log in.

This is a very good museum, though history of humanity is mostly about wars and only two small rooms represent science. You can see old computers and phones inside and also products of tobacco, soviet times history is also presented

Well this will be too esoteric for some, but I enjoyed it. It is the history of modern Plovdiv. Unusual items here include computers produced in Bulgaria and a collection of royal Easter eggs.

Very affordable for students! Also reasonable for adult tickets. Small museum, well curated and with good English translations on the main exhibits (limited on the temporary exhibits). Friendly and helpful staff explained the way to view the museum best. I did this in one hour but would say comfortably 1-2 hours should cover you if you do like to read and consider each display.

The museum is great, especially for history geeks or people genuinely interested in the period around the unification of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia. As a small downside I can say that the museum is not exactly modern or interactive, but the extremely valuable (historically) and interesting exhibits, the historic location and the welcoming personnel make up for this.

(Translated by Google) Kaliakra is a beautiful rocky peninsula from which you can admire a wonderful panorama of the Black Sea with a rocky coast. Apparently, with a bit of luck, you can see dolphins swimming here, we didn't make it. In addition to the landscape, you can also admire the remains of the fortress from the Thracian times.

A place filled with history. An amazing scenery and a view to the dazzling sea. You can even notice how the water of the sea is a different colour around the cape. It has many view points from the rocks and ancient building leftovers on the inside. It has very interesting history worth discovering. Another thing that left me speechless is that you can see wild dolphins swimming in the sea around the cape. It was really beautiful and it is definitely worth seeing!

Wonderful nature where green hills are separated from the blue sea by high cliffs. Here you will find some ruins from an old fortress, a lot of birds who lives on the cliffs and museum with some ancient jewels, pots and staff. In the summer a musician will meet in on the gate with nice melodies and the air smells like fig trees :) There are a lot of places to take stunning pictures.

Iconic place on the Black sea and the Balkan peninsula. The entrance to the cape is paid at 3lv for adults and 1.5lv for students. For this you also get a parking before the remnants of the old fortress. The site has astonishing views and remnants from different centuries as the fortress was ruled by Thracians, Romans, Bulgarians and Ottomams again. At the end of the cape you feel at the end of the world, there is a free museum and a nice restaurant.
