👍 I'd say the house is worth seeing, it's the biggest Revival Period house in town but the museum felt like something from the communist era propaganda book. I don't understand what the museum tries to be: regional history museum, art gallery, ethnographic museum.. It's all of those but less at the sa... People often mention museum, house,

I'd say the house is worth seeing, it's the biggest Revival Period house in town but the museum felt like something from the communist era propaganda book. I don't understand what the museum tries to be: regional history museum, art gallery, ethnographic museum.. It's all of those but less at the same time. Entry fee is 4 leva and another 1 for pictures. It's the smelliest museum in the city

The historical museum, a branch of the Renaissance, is located in a former merchant's house, admission fee is 4 leva plus 1 leva if you want to take photos. The building itself looks very impressive from the outside and is simply beautiful and atmospheric.

An extremely beautiful and well-preserved building. It is located immediately under the arch in the old town.

Building looks interesting from the outside. A shame we could not visit as it was closed even tho it should have been open according to the opening hours stated on the door. There were three doorbells that we rang multiple times, but with no effect.

Absolutely fascinating exhibition on old Plovdiv but also on the resistance against occupying forces along with their original paraphernalia. No staff were there when I walked in, they were out the back, so I had to get their attention. Very warm in the summer!

So beautiful house and interesting museum about a part of the history ! It's the house of Dimitar Gueorguiadi and the building is between 1846 and 1848. One of the biggest house of Plovdiv old town.

An old merchant's house is used as a museum. It is said that the building's distinctive feature is that the second floor is projected more forward than the first floor.

The condition of the building makes me sad. Zero care, the wood carving is suffering under the effects of time. Need serious renovation.
