.
monument
was
built
in
1976
for
the
100-years
anniversary
of
the
April
uprising.
It
is
dedicated
to
the
3
uprisings:
1876
-
The
April
Uprising
-
the
first
try
of
the
Bulgarians
to
be
free
from
the
Ottoman
yoke
(surpressed,
a
thousands
of
people
killed);
1923
-
The
September
uprising
-
armed
revolt
of
the
Bulgarian
Communist
Party
to
change
the
government
in
Bulgaria.
Unsuccessfull,
840
people
killed.
1944
-
The
September
Revolution,
that
overthrew
the
government
and
led
the
country
on
the
way
of
Socialism.
In
the
right
part
of
the
monument
you
can
see
3
terraces,
each
one
has
a
wall,
covered
in
stone
reliefs,
dedicated
to
each
of
the
revolts.
The
monument
itself
is
unique.
The
author
tries
to
make
it
as
close
as
possible
to
Perushtitsa.
The
outside
part,
covered
not
in
concrete,
as
usu,
but
in
round
stones,
reminds
of
a
medieval
citadel.
The
firm,
and
the
bell
tower
help
the
idea.
The
inside
is
covered
in
red
bricks,
reminding
of
the
famous
medieval
Red
church,
found
nearby
town.
The
best
thing
is
that
the
Municipality
took
the
right
from
the
government
to
run
the
place
and
is
starting
renovations.
