When we arrived the guy at the recepcion didn't even say hello. He only said ID nothing else. It took him 5 minutes to start to communicate with us. My room was old, smelly and dirty. The bathroom was the worst. Mould, rust and bad smell everywhere. There was no blanket just a piece of thin textile. The marketing pictures on the web are nice, but reality is crazy. Worst hotel I have ever been compared to the price. Breakfast is poor.

The rooms are really old, dirty and worn out. I don't know why this hotel has 4 stars if it hardly looks and feels like 2. Breakfast was also not good. The swimming pool is old and with dirty beds and chairs. Avoid until complete renovation is made.

If you want to come back in hard socialist times- come and see. Build in 1957, you will see almost 4 meters high walls, 3 meters wide corridors. Some cosmetic changes before 25 years. But ventilation is perfect. Pillows are o.k. Car parking is payable because it is municipality property.

This is the worst hotel ever! We switched two rooms. The first on was with broken air conditioner and it was freezing, I don’t understand how that the hotel didn’t knew about it, what the stuff do?! The second one was extremely dirty and the windows were covered with birds droppings! I have pictures, it was disgusting also the bathroom was very very dirty. On the second night at 1:00 am in the morning there a was private party above our room the receptionist told me that from the hotel were trying the loudspeakers. AT 1:00 am in the morning?!?! He was trying different lies he even offered to move us AGAIN at 1:00 am?!?! He told me I can go speak with some man from the hotel stuff upstairs? If I have to that, why the receptionist is even on work? The manager of the hotel was home sleeping… no words honestly. I uploaded photos of our window in room! THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL EVER WITH THE WORST STUFF. NEVER GO THERE !!!

The hotel staff & location are WONDERFUL!!! For those from the USA, it is important to note that when booking, you should ask for a renovated room. There is a stark contrast between the updated rooms and the others (photo & video attached). That said, you can feel the springs in the mattresses, regardless of room, and the hotel has CENTRAL AIR (as of the date of this post) controlled by the hotel, which is fine if you like warmer climates. There are aircon switches in the rooms, but they are dummy switches. There are windows that open in the rooms, but then you choose between sound or temperature. Also, while technically, the hotel is non-smoking, there are ashtrays in all the rooms, and you can't escape the smell of smoke in the city. However, they do try to make it smell better by use of air fresheners. The breakfast buffet offers an international selection of items and is very good. The decor throughout the common areas and in the renovated rooms is beautiful. Our favorite part of our stay was the incredible hotel staff and location!!! This hotel is within walking distance to nearly everything you would want to visit, as a tourist, in Plovdiv.

Pretty much average at best. Breakfast buffet was terrible.. honestly scrambled eggs that come premixed in a bag.. you would think that when you pay prices like 240 a night stuff like that wouldn’t happen but hey.. maybe I’m wrong. Fact is that everything tasted awful. Rooms are fine, could use a bit of refurbishment. Service was nice

Nice hotel in the heart of Plovdiv. Needs a refreshment in the interior. A person should consider the cameras placed in every centimeter inside. Too many cameras is meeting you firstly at the entrance that is not giving you the feeling of gust of the hotel. The feeling is more like you are suspicious. Otherwise is a good hotel just located in the city centre of Plovdiv. It is a symbolic hotel in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

Firstly, I have been charged twice for my stay and I have just disputed the transaction with my bank - so not happy about it. Now the Hotel is very centrally located, with ample of paid parking outside, you couldn’t get the location wrong. You will reach main bustling Plovdiv old town high street within a 2 minute walk. However the hotel is absolutely dated, the entry has steps, so with a stroller or less able person it maybe a little delay as they have to use the side open lift. The rooms are very old, I mean they really overdue renovation since many years it seems. The pool is amazing, with a bar just below it. The breakfast is limited and perhaps just enough. The casino was lively and busy. But it’s just when you get to rooms and the overall look and feel of the passage was low. The staff very generous and helpful!

Very nice hotel with excellent service. Restaurant is very attractive and offer a wide selection of food and drink, also with excellent service. The parking lot is large and easy to access, both of which are unusual features in Bulgaria. The location is perfect for every purpose as it is in an attractive tourist and shopping area and offers easy access for cars.

The hotel is very centrally located and meets Ramada standards. The rooms have a view of the city center. There is no parking problem. room prices are a little expensive. We paid 140€ per night.

I spoke to the receptionist she was very kind and I asked if I could book appointment for a massage. She then forwarded me on to the spa centre and I asked the lady if I could please book a massage and she wasn't helpful at all and just hang the phone up on me. This is not acceptable behaviour from the spa centre lady. I will not be staying here again!

The staff graciously stored our bicycles while we went to visit Sofía. We stayed for a few days on the way back and would stay again. The breakfast is also very good!

Must have a reservation if you want to be seated in a central table. Otherwise, nothing to do with other restaurants of this chain. Wonder why ?

Staff is great but on weekends there is a bar upstairs that makes it difficult to sleep. Loud bass late into the night and thin walls.

Ramada Plovdiv hotel is disgusting . It's old,, dirty and smelled so bad. The furniture was low quality and dated. The TV was in a size of computer monitor, placed on top of a small mirror stand. The mini fridge was empty and wasn't working . The sink in the bathroom was broken, the shower and bathtub stained. The AC didn't work, couldn't leave the window open because of street traffic noise. The food was disappointing too, the menue was limited to few dishes. I ordered a pork steak and a salad, both were tasteless. The hotel doesn't offer free parking for their guests, they charge additionally to park in a public parking in front of the hotel. The breakfast was not included either. The Ramada hotel charged me additionally for a simple unimpressive breakfast. There is a swimming pool at the backyard that wasn't open at the time, however it looked so sad with all the broken tiles and garbage flying around. The whole hotel is totally neglected and doesn't look like the photos on the website. The website is misleading to portray an old style and class, in fact it's a total misery. I booked for three nights, however left first in the morning after sleepless night.

Don't. Just don't. Tl;Dr this is a cheap motel or hostel quality place. I'm not at sure how is 4 stars. I'm writing this review at 3:45 am during our last night at this hotel because we're on the 4th floor and the bar right above us has been blasting music the entire night. It was the same last night as well. I haven't been able to sleep more than 2 hours at a time here due to noise. If you're in the 1st floor, then you deal with casino noise. In addition, this hotel room stinks of cigarettes. Don't bother asking for a room change - they're all the same. I don't know how long ago the carpet in our room has been vacuumed. The bathroom door looks like it has blood stains on it. It's dingy everywhere and nothing has been remodeled since the 80s. The bed and box spring is on top of the floor, without a bedframe. To make matters worse, the box springs are stained brown everywhere like they've been under water at some point, perhaps picked up from the street. The location is ok, but that's only because this is a small town. You can actually stay 10 min north to be closer to the cute restaurants and art galleries and save yourself the extra walk every meal. If you want to sleep during your stay in Plovdiv, stay somewhere else.

This hotel has all what required to make it the best: Location, beautiful architecture...but: very old and not attended. Rust, smell, uncomfortable mattresses, ugly bathroom. The safe is a joke ( one can carry it and leave with all your things in). The doorman prefer to sit in lobby ..you can carry your things by yourself and fight the heavy door.... Breakfast not bad. Does not worth the money .

I was on business trip there, many colleagues complained about the heating not working in rooms, it's not very clean at all, furniture is old dated. Diner was ridiculous, at open buffet to offer only one kind of salad, 3 garnishes and 2 meats it's a shame. Breakfast is also noting special. Stuff is polite and helpful.

Service is bad. I asked for cold beer. The waiter said all the beer is cold. I asked for any cold one. I got a warm Stella Artois and my colleague got a cold Staropramen. Food is average to bad. The room was ok although ventilation in the bathroom was dead.

First, the good stuff: Beautiful building, great location, delicious food, spacious well maintained room and bathroom, but poor customer service. Next, very lengthy description of my experience shared with the hope for improvement. 1. The receptionist charged for my stay ahead of time, at the check in moment. 2. She did not offer instructions (map, or guidance) how to reach the room. I and my mother who was accompanying me to find the room got lost in the building hallways. 3. The room number on written as "192". We were only able to find rooms on the first floor up to 134. 4. We returned to the front desk and I asked the receptionist for help. 5. She profoundly apologized throwing the blame to "the gal from the previous shift" who mistakenly wrote "9" instead of "zero", so my room happened to be 102 instead of 192 as listed in my door card. 6. As we were heading back this time to the correct room number, the same receptionist stated that my mother is not allowed into walk me to my room because she is not registering as a guest as well. We both felt uncomfortable and asked for explanations, we were told it is against the hotel policy. I asked to speak with her manager and for my money back, after all, for 316 lv for 2 nights I can find a place where I will feel respected. 6.The young lady came back alone w/o her manager and stated that my mom could accompany me to my room and back if she pays a fee (?!). 7. I insisted to speak with the manager and get my money back; the receptionist left and again she returned w/o the manager. The message was "your mother can come to your room but only if she gives us her ID (personal information) and register. At that point my mother mentioned that I am American citizen (until then I was speaking Bulgarian); regardless, all clients should be treated equally for the fact that out money keeps the business going, not based on their nationality, race, ethnicity, gender, etc). I felt ashamed and discriminated being born Bulgarian. 8. The guards felt the need to get involved on the side of the hotel which also made us feel completely out of place, and unsafe; the receptionist disappeared on the back and returned with a permission my mom to accompany me to my room so I leave my luggage in the room. This happened on Saturday, October 22 around 6 pm. 9. Monday, October 24, I was about to get to the breakfast area when I was stopped by a young gentleman who supposedly should of welcomed me with a smile, offer help and directions and wish me good morning. Instead, he nervously asked for my room number (I wish this kid has had a good training in manners and real English language training). I said 102 twice, he looked for me on a list ahead of him and said I am not there, so I unless I go back to speak with the front desk, I am not getting breakfast. 9. The front desk guy (Dennis, better versed and mannered than anyone I got to interact with) apologized for the mistake and I was allowed to go back and enjoy my breakfast. 10. The guards there: man, I get it, there is a Casino there, and so on, but please, do not give the "blood and urine" look to EVERYONE. SMILE, this doesn't make you look less MANLY. NODE. DO NOT ASSUME ALL OF YOUR GUESTS ARE CRIMINALS UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE. I don't like to feel intimidated by "gorillas". Both I and my mom are college professors (50s and 70s) and we are definitely not there to endure BS. We decent human beings and we expect to be treated with respect. I highly recommend the whole stuff from the lower to middle or high management level to undergo hospitality training so no more guests get to experience the described above service. I am not coming back to Hotel Ramada 'Trimonzium" again.

Least comfortable bed in all of Plovdiv. I don’t know how I’m going to make it two nights. Mildew in shower. Make sure you pull the room door closed behind you, as it is not weighted to close.

I had a cold shower because there was no hot water. The bathtub was slippery and the handle to hold on to in order not to slip in the shower was not secure. The beds were not comfortable. Location was great!

If there was an option to put 0 stars i would. Someone was blasting music all night, which kept is awake all night. This Hotel is a total joke . Costumer service is terrible, beds are hard to sleep on, shower doesnt have ventilation, paying $126 for night and they dont have sports channels. I will never visit this country anymore.

Old and dirty! The service is never good and they just rely on the reputation from the very old past, but right now even with the newest thing inside of the building, especially on the 3rd and 4th floor is still not ok! For one of the iconic places in Plovdiv, it's very disappointing to see such a wasted place like this hotel!

We traveled to Plovdiv only for a day and needed a place to spend the night. There is no better location than this, accross the central post office, minutes walking from restaurants, cafes and shopping. Location is 5/5. Guarded parking right outside the hotel, all was good. Hotel is nice, rooms are a bit dated but clean. Shower head in the bathroom was broken and maintenance couldn't fix it on the spot. Unfortunately we only found out abt the shower around 1 AM, just before we went to bed and at that point we were too tired to change rooms, even though we dhould have. At that price point you would expect at least everything to work in the room. Staff was kind and accomodated some small request on our side. Overall 4* because of location and personnel was very kind.

Trimontium Ramada purchased the hotel and it was called Dedeman before. Great building in the center of the city, with a piano bar on the top floor, restaurant Victoria , pool and a casino. They used to have live poker games with tournaments before it became Ramada. If they bring back the live game I am definitely changing the rating.

The heating system in my room was making a very bad noise when working. It was not a very pleasant situation. I've asked the reception to another room, and nothing happens. No one comes to check.

The staff is friendly but that’s where the good things end really. The rooms are extremely dated. Lots of the furniture is clearly damaged and they did the bare minimum to “fix” it instead of replacing it. In our case everything was sloppily painted, the walls at the entrance of the room were cracked, the beds were about as soft as a piece of plywood and the floors were very dusty. Great location, but the hotel is in need of a major, MAJOR renovation. Is it worth the money? Absolutely not, spend another $10 extra and you’ll be in the nicest, most modern hotels in the city. If it was still the 1990s this place would be great, unfortunately we’re a little past that. Edit: Changed to 1 star… there is mold in the bathroom. DO NOT book this hotel it’s disgusting.
