Located in one of the side roads right in the center of Plovdiv, 8 1/2 Art Guest House is a very warm, comfortable and very sic place to enjoy. The people over there are very kind and helpful. They pay a lot of attention to detail. You will find little chocolate candy and a fresh tea set in your room every day. The flower pots in the balcony are really a nice touch plus the led light lamp beside your bed will give all the comfort to enjoy a bit of night time reading. Standard services like reliable WI-fi, cosmetics in the bathroom and a very well equipped mini bar are beyond any questioning. On the down side, there is no elevator, so make sure that your suitcase is not too heavy and although they serve an outstanding breakfast, if you need an extra cup of coffee, you 'll have to pay for it. Despite these two glitches, I have very much enjoyed my stay there and I would certainly recommend 8 1/2 Art Guest House for anybody.

This was my 3rd or 4th time staying in this hotel! We go back every summer! We staid at the penthouse room and it was really nice! The location and the hotel itself is lovely! The cleaning lady is also doing an amazing job as it was spotless! The main reason why I am giving low stars is because of the service we got in the breakfast area. Previous years was also not great but this year was just sad! As a guest you are allowed to have one hot drink as part of your breakfast. My partner ordered double espresso and we were told that we would have to pay one coffee as double expression counts as two hot drinks. The lady from the reception was helping at the breakfast area and kept repeating that this has nothing to do with her and she is just helping! On the end after some brief discussion we were told that we do not have to pay this coffee but this already somehow turned us off as it came across as super low and cheap approach for such a hotel!

We stayed in a double room with a balcony and it was lovely. The room was really spacious, stylish and clean, the bathroom and the shower were also very large and modern. We had an amazing view of the city from the balcony and the back window of the room was looking towards the old town! The staff were also super friendly and accommodating during our stay, so I'll definitely look t staying there during our next visit of Plovdiv.

We had a double bed room, the hotel is lovely. The room is exposed to sunrise in the morning. The breakfast is excellent! The lighting in the room is a bit dim for our taste though. Complimentary fruits and vegetarian truffle is amazing! The bedding is excellent as well, you get two types of pillow. It's overall a very pleasant experience.

Excellent interior, very clean and tidy, tasty continental breakfast and wonderful, friendly and great customer service. So friendly staff and competent.

Loved this place. One of the best boutique hotels we have ever stayed in. Everything was exceptional. Rooms were so clean and smartly laid out. Breakfast is included at the cafe on the main floor and was excellent. Highly recommended!

Nice enough and probably very good by Bulgarian standards. Very lumpy old pillows hence the 4 star review. Breakfast ok but in a busy little cafe on the ground floor beneath the hotel. Hard to relax here.

This is probably my favorite hotel! Rooms: big, clean and the bed ia sooo comfortable! Bathrooms: big, clean and quality products. Breakfast: best there is! Services overall: simply great. Location: great, in the heart of Plovdiv. One small minus: no parking place at the hotel as it is in a pedestrian area but there are parking options around. Price: a bit expensive but worth it. Quiet and super cozy. I went there a few times and I will go there for sure next time. Love it!

Nice wellcoming, nice services, very clean, very delicious breakfast, nice and chill music which is sweetening your mornings, lovely music. They have their parteners, next to the hotel like restaurant Hemingway (awesome food and live music) and Dolce Felini: coffe- sweet shop/terace. All my visits i could describe them as a familly experience!

Very kind staff, breakfast was wonderful, room was clean and comfortable, great location in the center. I would return!

A delicious English breakfast that can be slightly varied on different days - freshly baked croissant, toasted slices, cheese, honey, jam, yogurt, oatmeal, granola, boiled egg and fruit - one time tangerine, the second time a green apple that no one eats, however. More attractive and diverse fruits can be considered. Typical Bulgarian elements can be added to the breakfast - bread, mekitsa, buns, not a croissant every time. The place for breakfast is the famous cafe in Plovdiv Dolce Fellini. In the morning, you can order instead of coffee, cappuccino tea or another hot drink if you want to go with the set. You can also add some other offers from the pastry shop, which are very worthwhile, but everything will be paid. I would happily stay at Guest House 8 ½ again. I recommend them 100%, we really liked them!

Nice and decent boutique hotel, good rooms, nice bathroom. In the city center so everything is in walking distance.
