One of us is from Texas, the other California. We know Mexican food and have been craving it. Dropped in to give this place a try. Jorge, our waiter spoke perfect English and just like us imperfect Spanish. He recommended the last of the beef tongue tacos. They only make so much per day. I was blown away by the taste! The carnita burrito and shrimp quesadilla was served with copious amounts of sour cream. Both were excellent! Their own brewed beer went perfectly with the meal. On a side note, ask for it spicy and some on the side. And go early for the beef tongue, Jorge and the staff won't disappoint! This restaurant alone was enough to extend our stay in Plovdiv.. We'll be back.

Taco Reyes is hands down the best Hispanic food you’ll find in Bulgaria. Ingredients are top quality and the staff are extremely nice and accommodating. Everything I tried here falls right in line with some of the best food I’ve had in Latin America. By default, things won’t come out super spicy (Lots of Bulgarians don’t love spicy it seems), but they have some great sauces that made the tacos spicy and even better when requested. Oh! And the tequila/ margaritas are A++!

Came here from Sofia after tens of recommendations just to try their tacos! Best decision EVER! They were superb! Amazing taste, very balanced, fresh and authentic! We also had the guac and chips which was 10/10! The people behind the counter were super nice and welcoming! I especially enjoyed the spinach taco which was so tasty I'm still dreaming about it! Would definitely return again to try other things on the menu and I strongly recommend you give them a visit too! I wish we had a place like this in Sofia, the tacos there have nothing on the Taco Reyes!

This review is strictly regarding take away and the new menu that was adopted. I wish they had kept the original menu which was much better (Not only choices but the actual quality of the menu itself). Received my tacos in soggy drenched condition that were falling apart. The quality of the meat was awful, so fatty and didn't seem normal. Literally it was unedible which you can see in the box which I could not eat. Overpriced for what you received as well. They should have some type of taco separator holders for takeaway orders. Also, one of their most popular choices from the original menu, was the "California Taco" which they eliminated from their current cheap paper menu, which I was pretty upset to see. Seems like the new ownership has brought the restaurant to a lower standard than previously. Happy they have a decent Mexican restaurant in Plovdiv, but they definitely could use some improvement.

After craving good Mexican food for months and a long day on the bus and train, this place was just what I needed. Carnitas taco was superb as was the spicy chicken soup. The Juanita’s slightly spicy beer was the perfect compliment. Marvin, the owner, and his attentive staff made me feel at home. Mexican food is best when served with such hospitality. I’ll be back!

Wow! Such a random find this place was! Really delicious and authentic tacos and burrito we had there! Surprised to find such a place in Plovdiv, Bulgaria! Highly reccomend. They have some interesting options that are infused with local traditional favorites. The Taco with beef tongue is a must try! Try them all actually. Worth it! After one year Review: Well, things have changed there significantly since the last time we were there. Unfortunately for the worse! Tacos are not what they were. Not the same size, not the same taste. But more expensive for what you get. The guacamole with chips - the chips is different taste and look than it was before. We have no idea why they changed everything, but it is not for good. New owners, or new staff and cook - this is not that good for place anymore. I'm sad!

Best tacos I've had in Bulgaria. Very fresh and light sauces. My friend had burrito, which she also liked a lot. Reasonable prices and pleasant atmosphere. I recommend checking it out. I would go back!

I used to be annoyed by Mexican food, but not anymore! I loved the food here so much!!! The food was so rich and balanced in flavor, so delicious and so overly awesome - now I am big fan of this restaurant and the real good Mexican they offer! There is not only food, but also awesome drinks!

Great place! Nice to have tacos in Plovdiv. The carnitas were my favourite, but Tijuana was a close 2nd. Nachos were also good, enough toppings so you don't have empty chips. The tacos are well-sized, for portions, you'd probably want 2 tacos each and a starter to share.

The best Mexican food in Bulgaria! Truly authentic food, good margaritas and friendly staff! The owner makes the tacos right in front of you and makes you feel welcome. Next time excited to try the horchata and burritos.

The tacos aren’t authentic but nice. A bit too greasy. I didn’t like the nachos: the cheese sauce has a weird taste and bean sauce is also not what I’m used to. The people are really nice and cheerful.

This restaurant is great! If you like Mexican food or would like to taste something different - visit it. The short menu list offers delicious meals (both chilly and non-chilly) of great quality and nice drinks. The small garden is enjoyable, the music is good, the whole place is decorated lovely, and will give you a calmful experience a little bit away from the typical noise of the popular tourist spots. Last but not least, the staff is friendly and kind.

Awesome little gem with authentic Mexican quisine. The nachos are perfectly cooked. The guacamole and the tacos are excellent too. Try their own brand of Mexican beer - slightly spicy flavor that goes perfectly with the food. Will definitely come back! It's more of a fast food place than a restaurant, hence taking some stars off for atmosphere.

The restaurant has unique and fresh tacos and salads. The drinks add charm to the food, like special flavored margarita, the spicy Mexican beer with Juanita brand, and the mead produced locally with honey. We ordered the nachos, beef, chicken and shrimp tacos. All of them are fresh and very tasty. Prices are affordable, service is excellent. We were there twice within 5 days of stay in Plovdiv to show how much we really love this place.
